She turns and bounces around a bit more

Dancers fly through the air
Like smoke and fire
All limbs and rain on a foggy day,
Flightless birds that soar for just moments
Each pointed foot and extended arm it’s own brush
To paint a masterpiece.

windblown fugitives of gold
dancing with flowers

green fluttering leaves darkly

purple birds glide by
dusky beats upon the ground
trembling, shade fruit vines 

in a dance to night
movement in grassy marshes'
dynasty of days

Carnival

countless snowflakes fall
they twirl, twist – swirl in the wind
embrace pale Mardi Gras
