Premium MemberCradled into Sleep

as the glowworms
in the stygian night

threw flickers of light
like scattered gems,

when little birdies cuddled under
their mother’s warmth,

while the long whistle of a train
was dying in the distance,

I sensed the indulgent grip
of the hands of Sleep

who took me
to his gilded chamber of dreams!

KATAUTA:

Her: eyes brown, like choc’late,
swooning like the stars unglued —
              yours mad as the moon

Him: pistachio eyes —
the gaze of a soulful cat
               sea swept in zephyr

Her: swallowed by the pond —
               our shadow imitates moves
               of tender years

Him: silk like a spotlight,
the moon pouring forth its milk —
               you invite my thirst

Her: sway of tropical
palms, your cradled in my arc —
                hammock’s impression

Him: blow kiss from purple
lips, the pitons like your breasts
                and the valley split

Together: laughing and weeping
                present immortality —
                generosity christened

Cradled

Trust is supposed to be mutual but I know that was not the case.
As he fingers slid over messages hed assumed I would erase.
I dont understand what the big deal was i didnt do anything wrong..
Yet he cradled me after hurting me.
Assuring me i was safe within his arms.
I have nothing to hide.
I have always been loyal to him without flaw.
Yet i know his disapproval just by the look i saw.
I dont ever leave my room.
I dont ever talk to anyone without consent.
I do what I'm supposed to
Best believe I'm heaven sent.
I go to school alone and come out to him waiting.
If i didn't run to him he'd accuse me of hesitating.
Truth leaps past my tongue like it was born to be spoken.
But looking down i know he's mad just by the tone he's spoken.
He smashed the stereo so I couldn't listen to our song.
Then blamed me for his outburst like it was my fault all along.
He questions my intentions as if I've ever given him reason.
The type of man to stab me in my sleep then ask me why im bleeding.
He assures me that he trusts me but I know that's a lie.
So here I am again.
Penning heartaches lullaby.

Visual Thoughts

I was staring at your picture
For some time today and
This is what I imagined:
I walked up to you and said
I need you to take my hand
And the other one too.
Pull me to you with those
Big strong arms of yours,
Wrap them around me
And never let go.
Kiss my forehead and rock me
From side to side.
Look at me and kiss me
Whisper I love you in my ear
As I lay my head back down again.
For I am home now.
Home is being wrapped in your arms
Cradled by your love
Shielded from all things
That aren't you
I am safe and free.
Please don't let me go,
I love you.
I will do my best to give you
Whatever your heart desires.
No cost is too big or too small
For you are always worthy
And welcome of my love.
I appreciate you and your love
I thank God for blessing me with you.
I am yours physically, spiritually
And emotionally
Or whichever way
You chose to have me,
I will always be yours.

I Cradled Pity In My Arms

I cradled pity in my arms
as the wind blew it away
Hope escaped
through the crack in my heart
Sadness shrugged but never left
just sat beside me here
searching the horizon
for death

Premium MemberCradled In the Arms of Midnight

Aloft, the gem was mounted in black velvet skies
A refulgent pearl, surrounded by glistening stars
Cradled in the arms of midnight, it hung as a prize,
as exquisite as a painting, credited as one of Renoir's

Framed by arching branches of a leafless oak,
a sultry mist bowed before the majestic moon
She was partly veiled by clouds serving as a cloak
Her beauty serenaded by the somber song of a loon

Its tune a haunting trill, a funeral chant of death,
for Luna was wounded, splattered in crimson blood
like that spilled by Duncan in Act 5 of Macbeth,
or a rose pricked by its thorns, a hemorrhaging bud

A sudden stillness enshrouded the atmosphere
Swift currents of reticence flowed in a cryptic river
Pensively I gazed, transfixed on the moon in fear
Impressions of her demise gave me cause to shiver

Such nebulous notions clouded my brooding mind,
for the moon was merely blushing while in eclipse
As dusk darkens shadows of night's morrow, I'll find
a golden orb on high, without sign of an apocalypse

Cradled In a Crescent Moon

Cradled in a crescent moon;
babes that haven't reached the womb.

Snuggled up in undreamt dreams;
puppies, hugs and candy themes.

Angels singing lullaby's.
Love's light twinkles in their eyes.

Some are lasses, some are lads,
waiting for their moms and dads.

Cradled

I held my tongue
 cradling a wound
I once nursed back to life

You never did listen
 Deaf ears sorrowed muse
Rehash my pain

Now here I stand
 Fallen to my knees--unheard
Loved of spite

For a love
 that cradled a bruise
Left me estranged

Premium MemberAs She Cradled Her Child

Mom cradled the moment
as she cradled her child,
at sixteen silent words .. spoken

A lullaby through weeping red tears
as she cradled her child,
hope in his honey brown eyes fears

Melting her soul with pleading eyes
as she cradled her child,
where hugs of love never to rise

Echoes of lull empty heart tears brought forth
as she cradled her child,
eyes closed rocking back and forth at his birth

Song sung blue one more time do flow
as she cradled her child,
birthday cake and wishes, lilies grow

Ever Cradled Love

(This moment ...of today’s new found moon)

I am cradling the moment
as I would cradle you ….if only you would let me
I have cupped it in my palm….in a small boat of white
…blue sails full of the warm summer winds that crest over my thumbs
Two yellow earth moons rise …one and two over
the western waves of my pointers and pinkies

They flirt and romance you in the moment ....with dabbling night lights

They curl around the earth
…just like you and I
always swirling around each other
twined vines…circling …rising
growing strong in our gravities force
but denied full union by the pulls of any other source

our ever ...up rooted love
our twine...our vines …cut back as if by morning light
only to grow again in 52 fortnights

Come to me in moon dreams…my love
Let me cradle you

...this moment is kind and the night is blind to refusals
and our love is always rising upon the ever edge of the glass ceiling of reality

Return to me …with the incoming tides
made higher still by today's two moons

and this our gravity..... eternal

Premium MemberCradled By Petals

I stroll beneath lavish trees
exploring the break of morning freely,
and through a swarm of boughs' embrace
jasmines twirl around the edges
like a mystical dance of floral sway ,
their perfume...haunting.

A light breeze awakens,while
crystal dew grows quiet,
as if grasses were holding their breaths.
Now laying on soft cradle of petals,
my world becomes Aurora's dome:
I forget that I'm old - that I'm expiring;
though I know it is here I can rest
in my secret garden of limitless dreams.

Cradled In Love's Infinity

As spirit enters heaven,

Never going back,

Never any need to,

Entire Earth time history,

Only a fluttered blink,

In this new existence,

Forever now is reality,

Ignorance not existing here,

Wisdom a new friend,

Happiness is now eternal,

Loneliness a banished stranger,

Held in His arms,

With missed loved ones,

Never to be separated,

Again.

"A poem to me is the essence of any thought,
Being built from its foundation into tower scraping sky.
It can fly like no other bird to places never seen,
Even spaceships can only dream of taking its place."

Cradled

I catch the tears that flow
From the Sadness in your eyes
And all of them I can throw,
To be diamonds in the skies.

I can transform the Pain
From things that caused you hurt,
With them I make some rain,
That will bless and green your Earth.

Your restless minds calmed here,
Those many fears, and Doubt.
As misty Rainbows appear,
When Sunshine has opted out.

Come listen to my songs,
For sounds you hear are soothing.
Each bird that sings belongs
To my music, free and refreshing.

Those times you feel so alone,
Close your eyes...be with me.
These are here - for you to own,
Beauty that comforts peacefully.

Your Mother,

Nature
