Notes About The Poem

As She Cradled Her Child

Mom cradled the moment
as she cradled her child,
at sixteen silent words .. spoken

A lullaby through weeping red tears
as she cradled her child,
hope in his honey brown eyes fears

Melting her soul with pleading eyes
as she cradled her child,
where hugs of love never to rise

Echoes of lull empty heart tears brought forth
as she cradled her child,
eyes closed rocking back and forth at his birth

Song sung blue one more time do flow
as she cradled her child,
birthday cake and wishes, lilies grow

A mothers love holds no bounds.....such a harrowing photo of mans inhumanity to man. You captured the words beautifully in your wonderful poem.

Very emotional, so sad, but I kept my tears in check. Great expression of maternal love and heartbreak, Eve. CayCay
