Cradled

I held my tongue
 cradling a wound
I once nursed back to life

You never did listen
 Deaf ears sorrowed muse
Rehash my pain

Now here I stand
 Fallen to my knees--unheard
Loved of spite

For a love
 that cradled a bruise
Left me estranged
