Coral Tide Love

palimpsest of love—
laurel dreams and libido
fiddle in the hum,
winding soul, smitten and raw—
coral heart churning through tides.


lovesick soul hums soft,
coral and laurel entwined—
fiddle of the heart.

After the Touch

she was touched by a phantom

becoming a phantom too

both boarded coral carriage
 
wheels grate cobble streets in mist

opera seats were waiting
 
then to swirl on dancing floor

she relished escaping hours

moonlight drapes over 
 coral coloured grains of sand
resting peacefully

You can take the country out of me, but the essence of acid lime runs through my veins like an indelible mark of my heritage. Growing up on the island was a unique blessing, where the roots of kinship ran deep and everyone seemed connected by an invisible thread. It was a place

Shattered Coral

Blood of gems
crosses the tides

a fractured tremor
of a weary river

fog of marrow
diluted by tremors

spines chained
to the edges of a coral
sinking deep

stones upon a shore
that quivers

and the body hears
only
a wave
mute
that carves.

A Red Moonrise over the Coral Sea

Unexpectedly
inspired by a Péladan jeremiad,
the red moon laughs at the sea
and the possum-ness of the possum;
Churlish blood rays remain

a never never world utterance of the jungle,
Every lupercalian dragonfly
conspires with brooding
red hibiscus flowers;

On a night like this,
all creation winces and endures
before melting into a black water mirage
of broken feverish brush strokes
and fruit bats in a mangrove

Coral Sea

Under the sea with colorful coral all over
Bright colors all over the sea
Sand that engulfs the whole ocean
The smell of Krabby Patties within the sea
A yellow sponge coming out of a pineapple dancing work
A blue squid frowning down below
A pink star under a rock
A red crab talking about money and
Several sea creatures crowding inside a

Coral Sea Spider

Jeweled sea spiders,

Feasting on jeweled coral,

Living Faberge!

Like incense fills the valves of

Coral Cosmos

Drifting, drifting we float, in azure abysses aglow
Drifting, drifting we glide, amidst aquatic artistry's flow
Drifting, drifting we go, where coral constellations grow

Swimming, swimming we surge, through sapphire seas serene
Swimming, swimming we swirl, where silent symphonies convene
Swimming, swimming we soar, as shimmering schools careen

Deeper, deeper we dive, discovering diverse domains
Deeper, deeper we delve, dreaming in diaphanous

Wonders of a Coral Reef

a massive coral reef just off the shore
of a tiny island in the South Pacific
a tropical reef filled with sea life galore
breathtaking and stunningly majestic
like an enormous rainforest on the sea floor

rare kaleidoscope of colorful sea creatures
a fishdom of seldom seen underwater life
even a crevice hiding  a notorious moray eel  
a reef so

do not test coral

pink coral reef
almost nothing prettier
it looks welcoming
don't be fooled
it is deadly, it can tear you to bits
do not jump down there to test it
if you bleed, sharks will come

Reefs

Sunbeams, like kisses, touch the sea,
A hidden world bursts into glee.
Coral castles, grand and bright,
Hug the ocean floor, bathed in light.

Red Sea Urchins

Giant red sea urchins piled high on a dock.
Still live, their spines wave, beckoning me.
Soon to be processed as haute cuisine stock,
Then sent to Japan to make roe puree.

It is sad to see these poor little guys.
They move with intention to find the Sea.
Too bad that their taste tends to tantalize
