Live today as if were your last
Cause life is for the living
Do not put off to the future
What you can enjoy today
That convenient time may never come
Today is the time for that change
Waiting for a more convenient time
Is dangerous and risky
That time May never come
I have been sorely hurt by my brother
I have forgotten but will forgive later
The time for forgiveness is now
For a more convenient time
May never come
I want to turn a new leaf next year
And give my life to Jesus
The time is now and convenient
For next year May never come

I have come to a bitter conclusion
I’m not writing what editors want,
My rejections are coming in profusion
It’s clear I am not a poetry savant.
I fear my muse is sabotaging me
With insignificant verse and rhyme,
She recently started charging a fee
For more than three lines at a time.
I think I’ll give her the old heave ho
To strike out versifying on my own,
But I hate to kick her out the door
She’s good with a rare homophone.
Maybe I shouldn’t blame my muse
For when I’m inclined to boggle a line,
She provides a convenient excuse
Then she’ll give me a word that’s fine.

Who are these poets?
Who stay up at all hours?
Commenting to your poems?
Don’t they have a life of their own?
A husband...a lover ..perchance?
The genuine closeness of two,
Under the moon and stars?
Or are they just.....lonely?
Hungry for true relations?
Selling out for empty, meaningless communications?
The pretense..that they are your friends?
How good is your poem?
I really do not know..
I do not count the numbers who left
meaningless, one word comments.
It’s really up to therm to decide.
And with others take a genuine poetic ride.
But to peck out meaningless comments?
Why?
It’s so you will be noticed, won’t You?
As some deep caring soul, might comment to you.
A game of life, we do play too many hours a day.
Whilst our real life, runs away!

God and Consent Convenient
God gave His consent
My love will be convenient
always lenient
knew what it would be
had been legitimacy
of conspiracy
provoke sanity
remember vigilante
contrary to us
were rude and rowdy
had been another big crowd
boisterous and loud

How convenient
when win/lose competitive
self-empowering political beliefs
of straight white male
monocultural dominance
Just happens to coincide
with justified economic enslavement
with sacred self-righteousness,
blind to systematic racist history
of capital extraction economics
birthing God's republic of the rabid
through patriarchal worship of capitalization
Favoring retributive producers
of the lash
and noose
and not restoring consumers
of the unhealthy sting
and suffocating death.

Where you stand tomorrow,
based on where you sit today
Your principles determined
by what you get
The ground below you moving,
feet shuffling back and forth
Saying this and saying that
—remembering to forget

I was inconveniently waiting
For your interest to show
But that never came
Should have kept my hope low
You were conveniently using
My time to your standards
As if I was a key
Hanging from your key lanyard
You only wanted me around
When you wanted my hands
You only needed me to be
Your convenient man
Conveniently it's not how this works
I'm not just a tool
So what do you take me for
Do I look like a fool
It's a good thing I saw
The ways your wheels worked
So it is very convenient
I saw not to hurt
You messed up thinking
You can conveniently trick me
You almost succeeded
The thought is so sickening
Although conveniently so
I am smarter than you
I saw it coming
And now we are through

Could Be Convenient To Be Lenient
Could Be Convenient To Be Lenient,
Wherever we went with their consent;
We had enough money to be spent,
That put into our budget a big dent.
Hemorrhoid Horn Haiku
Always avoid
A paranoid who has
A hemorrhoid.
In vein will remain,
That always drives me insane,
And there will remain.
In Carolina,
Sure seems to be uncanny;
Beach always sandy.
What we would not like,
When band really went on strike;
Told to take a hike.
Successful and straight;
To be this way we can't wait;
Want them for our fate.
Have to huff and puff,
Then realize there is rough,
And very tough stuff.
Could be copious;
About it does seem serious;
We were curious.

There are those who say that they don’t like others,
But it’s usually just a lie buried deep inside.
They call people names like “spics” or “brothers”,
But not while in an elevator or on a subway ride.
You see, it’s convenient to take the train,
Or ride the elevator instead of taking the stairs.
And even though their thoughts of hatred remain,
They want everyone around to think that they care.
It’s amazing to see a person hate because of race,
But not seem to mind when it makes their life easier.
If they truly hated another, it would be a simple case
Of living their life in a shell, not getting any busier.
These people are hypocrites that have no clue
What it’s like to enjoy life in a world of so many.
If they would only realize a better point of view,
It would make things easier for them…and their children, too.

"You'll be back tomorrow—
We have the best coffee"
Caffeine dripping with sarcasm?
Or does he really believe it?
Maybe his experience is limited
Or perhaps I missed the wink
Either way, the java's effective
But not so tasty
Just on my way
And only pennies per ounce
I'll be back tomorrow

The road of life has many turns
That could lead to fulfillment
But straight down the trodden way
The sheep need the shepherd
Follow the Judas bull along always
Never stray never wander
Steady is the flow of souls
To worn and weary to what is
Fear is not knowing
Fear is a stop sign
Acceptance is comfort
Belonging is convenient
A spirit wild dares to see
A path dark and full of weeds
Tempted to follow his inner heart
But rushes back when the mass departs
Ever will he ask
What if I chose the untrodden path
What cost is freedom to be free
What cost is it for me to be me
What wonders adventures lie ahead
What if... what if... never to know
Assimilate into the flow
Following following down the road
Following following down the road
It's easy to believe so convenient
I stopped at the fork of life
And watched the world race by
I turn back to step on their shadows

To blame God for everything really,
Man does in freedom on this Earth -
Is a Convenient Escape, logically,
For results that our human actions birth.
As all of us are born free to choose,
Decide to be king over our Fate,
Choices that we do to win or lose,
Mark the goals or traps that we create.
We are free to rise and maybe soar,
Free to wallow in Defeat and Pain,
Free to find dreams we are looking for -
Free to stand up and begin again.
We are not born puppets on some strings,
Unable to think and make our moves.
We were created as intelligent beings!
We choose and decide, as our lives prove.
Freedom requires Responsibility.
God or no God, we will reap what we do!
We face consequences inevitably,
Some are dreadful and hurting, that's true.
So to blame God for all our failings -
Or what Man, in Humanity, has become,
Is not only denying our Will at deciding
On a noble existence, before the end of life comes.

Conveniently you were
Always there for me
Denounce my foes
Held me tight through my woes
Covered my steps
When the wrong path I choose
Conveniently I nestled
In your bossom
Was there when descisions
I made weren't the best
Saw through my lies
When I wouldn't confess
You are the rain
When my world becomes dry
Holding the tissue
When my eyes they cry
When my soul hurts
And needs relief
You perform miracles
Beyond Belief.
