To boost the beauty of sonnets
Let that myth die that rhymes freedom refrain,
That, grammar a sonnet’s sweetness fetter,
That, pen’s creativity they constrain,
Nay, they add to their beauty, scarce deter.
The metre that appears to restrain,
In truth, entices a sonnet to sing,
For, where would pleasure be if there’s no pain?
To autumn’s ache owes the splendour of spring.
Strings get tuned

O dear soul
O, dear soul, who besieged your path to undress you?
And bound your hands with threads of sorrow anew.
To shatter your hopes, where sickening darkness blends,
A dreadful cloak that flails the joy your life tends.
Who finds rest when goodness is pushed away,
Replaced by solitude that lands with a heavy sway?
We all are

A Fixed Poetic Self
In this complex box of world,
compact box of world,
where all are jumbled – fumbled,
where the mightier reign their voice,
others adore their choice,
how? how can I guide you to nail
a steadfast identity,
a fixed poetic self?
I dreamed,
as a young poet, bearded like a pard.
I stood at an imagined crossroad …

Verbal Miracles
In four and sixty syllables
He strains to squeeze some thoughts profound
Into unyielding manacles
Of 8x8 form, tightly-bound.
He seeks to hand-pick words that sound
Unforced by metric obstacles
That sing and sensibly expound -
In short, do verbal miracles!

Behind Constraints
The goal of being is a task
assigned by those who know best
from the rules put to page
bringing most to broad dismay
to be unique is not a goal
exalted above those below
to be set in boxes with four walls
much like a prison where dreams die
bars for windows lest birds fly
escape to the sky far above
still the freedom

Constraints
Life is rarely fair:
folks aren't keen to share;
thinking only of themselves.
We could change that part:
if we'd merely start
thinking outside of ourselves.
Good guys finish last;
a perspective cast
in stone, by a creed of greed.
But random kind acts
create little cracks;
to sow humanity's seed.
We believe we're souls
playing mortal roles;
rehearsed on the stage of life.
And yet, we woo Death,
up to

The Coercing of Memory and Her Unobtainable Constraints
I dream in the morning
As lowly constructs constrain at night
Coercing my memory:
Death's cousin makes me their dancing fool
As a child, I had nightmares and thieves--
They indulged their appetites from my solace
Now, I only dream in the daylight
For my sleeping beauty calls me at night
"My Heart Is Unobtainable," she says
I wake as I had gone to

Constraints
An inner impediment to sex…
I am not comfortable with you like this.
My attractions are so profound.
However, I do not want to be denied.
You see I know you have been around.
I heard you telling my brother about how she clowned.
For reasons I knew you and she was having sex and she acted like a *****.
These are

When Love Meets Constraints
Lost in the euphoria of love
Swimming like the river had no endings
Regardless of the story fate would always have to tell
I was entangled by the hooks of her warm embrace
I dangled in the mingle feeling like i had an angle
Only but to find out that i was just jingling across the jungle
I never believed little
