she looks back at me
always takes me by surprise
this woman in the mirror
that i never seem to quite recognize
still she looks at me
her eyes drawing me in
refuses to utter a sound
and shatter that eerie film of chagrin
she lives inside the mirror
has no name or voice
a prisoner that's trapped
perhaps somehow somewhat by choice

Just thinkin
an hopin’
Twenty twenty one
will it be the year
Covid 19 has gone…
Just thinkin’
an hopin’
vaccine is the solution
Will it be the year
for the virus’s execution
Just thinkin’
An hopin’
Just thinkin’
An hopin’
Just hopin’
An prayin’
That’s all
I am sayin’
Just thinkin’
An hopin’
An prayin’
That our world can finally be
Covid 19 free
I'm hopin'
I'm prayin' ....

The woods is where I love to roam
where nature weaves her tapestry
and every tree is a curtain in hues of green
I listen to the symphony of bird songs drifting
and find a rippling stream flowing serene on a journey-
all is beautiful yet, the solitude holds a thread of loneliness

Bracing me up with grace* and might
God hoists my faith for service right
He assures me His presence-bliss
Of compassion’s peace I can’t miss.
Thus, I face each day so grateful
Midst triumphant heart, worshipful.
Vanquishing fear, despair and doubt
Love-propped, I’m ready to reach out.
*1Peter 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

My life, or should I put it my death
Will be a new start for my breath
We live to die so they say
We can die almost any day
I believe we go to another location
Somewhere where we are on vacation
Out beyond our lives here
Still near those we care
I look forward to my next life
Where I can live better free of strife
Love will abound here freely
And fellowship is easy agreeably
I will have a pure heart
Deep inside the afterlife’s start
Forever will be my time here
To hold great pleasure’s share
