Consecrated Lord To Thee

Take My Life, And Let It Be;
                        Consecrated Lord To Thee!

Take My Moments And My Day's;
Let Them Flow In Ceaseless Praise!

Take My Feet And Let Them Be;
Swift And Beautiful, .... For, Thee!

Lucifer's Fall

"The devil wasn't a devil until he became a devil."

A model of sagacity
Faultless and excellent in beauty
Covered with valuable stones
Annointed as a guardian cherub
Set upon the consecrated mountain of God
Flawless in ways until iniquity appeared
Beauty made the heart arrogant
Brightness currupted sageness
Filled with violence by multitude of merchandise
Driven out in disgrace
Made spectacle before earth kings to see

And just what is a consecrated smile
What is a cavalier grin
When I cry why are my tears sweet
Why?
Shouldn't have sinned
Now I'm discreet
Why?
Because of my forlorn concentrated smile

Consecrated

O precious wandering eyes,
Ever running; ever touring

O delicate prying eyes,
Ever seeking; ever asking

Please do all you may,
But lead me to no sin.

Our Consecrated Aura

The four lettered word spoken,
by your aggrandized soul,
has spiritually awoken,
revitalized and made me whole.

Your aura is a heavenly halo,
a circle of light above your head,
known for the warmth you throw,
I cry as your whiteness spreads.

Sensing your internal light,
wherever, whenever, in day or night,
conceived by your beautiful sight,
forgetting all about the pain of delight.

Your aura reflects like a prism,
during mid-summers day heat
and yes I'll follow your rhythm
and If needed, I shall repeat.

Your field of energy, not invisible,
distinct intangible intense quality,
our completeness is invincible,
reaching the highest velocity.

Sacred reflections understood,
you and I share this secret,
declared free of falsehood,
our desires become intermediate.

I whisper, “My sweet Nicholas,”
you whisper, “My dear Laura”,
I wish the whole world could witness,
our shared consecrated aura.

Consecrated

It was a severed finger
in an envelope,
which wrote the letter
of consent.

Oh, my father
I am still crying
with loss of words
and figures.

Past the hills
I sent the secret of
my poems which did not tell
me the name of knife-

that was put in my back
by my unknown
brothers of shame. I will
now bleed all life.

It was only an
apology. I will still
walk with my toes drawing
the stripes of welts.

Consecrated Grounds

Clinging on to silence
When there’s nothing to behold
In the mirror of this earthly
Visage growing old

Beneath what now just lingers
In this quieting despair
There lies an open graveyard
Begging for your care

The flowers here are wilting
All the children turn away
And in that I am haunted
There is no such thing as play

My voice sings of confusion
When I ask for your embrace
Instead I speak of lacking
And why it’s you that I should blame

Now alone beside the mirror
This old man is close to truth
And as he fades into the nightmares
He recalls what stole his youth

Stalking through the darkness
A passenger of pain
“It is I that haunts this graveyard”
And then he spoke his name

Awake and overflowing
With the senses I thought gone
The old man in the mirror
Is now a child with a song

Consecrated Concrete

I ride my “Women Inspired” Schwinn up to my friend’s path.
My bike is magenta and the path is chartreuse,
Swathed by the spent spring buds of a tree.
I see Mister, who I call “Meester the Dog!”

My friend slides her door open,
Mister jumps to greet me.
He is like a little, bright, brown pierogi,
Boiling between my friend and I like we were the sides of a kettle.
He is so happy, he pees on the patio and we smile and laugh.

I see my friend standing by the door,
And her great chocolate eyes and effulgent smile,
So comfortable in her soft grey top and her soft grey pants.
So comfortable in her skin.

We talk of the mundane, of money, the funny,
Tigers and Appleby’s, bogies and birdies.
We are absolutely ourselves in each other’s company
And she gives me delicious tea.
I put my magenta bike into the wind,
Pedaling happily home.
I love this woman.

Tomorrow many will observe a resurrection.
The holy will stand in church and celebrate the power of a god.
Today I stood on a bud strewn path.
Today I saw my friend.
Today I saw the sacred.
Today I celebrate.
