Premium Member To the pred o viles, in congress '

Right now reside; millions of files,
Where there should be no evil wiles
Yet it appears there? Is much rorting.!
Also rife cocaine snorting
With the protection; of most evil viles.!

All such in congress's much revered seat.?
There law-takers! Are enact-ing the delete..
Of all evils; squirming like real weevils'
(To forge false history?) Most incomplete
Just, more palatable, to folk on the street.?

Our laws are at best, temporary
for the SCOTUS can hear each appeal
And the ones which had once been decided
change again, with each new dirty deal

When the wealthy want new legislation
they refill their appointed Rep’s till
For America runs on the taxes
and the votes donors buy on The Hill

Our system is poisoned with money
as the votes are prepaid at campaigns
Afterwards, Congress files in the Chamber
to fulfill promised corporate gains

As the people live paycheck to paycheck
and appeal to their Reps in D.C.
All the capitalists label them
socialists
It’s unsure who the U.S. will be

Will the people who fund all the programs
choose a leader who knows how to fight
Or will we descend into darkness
where only the rich live in light

Have it Your way

Trumpeted a would be King
Wrecking protocol, doing his thing
Senate is on its knees, weak
Congress cowed out of speak

Perhaps the Georgia 5th Sees Us Hearing

If California may hear
In between eyes clerical
     and Justices Repeal
Both names
    Have been titled
Titled as an altered code
    and violation of building standard
Becomes currency
     Contempt of Congressional Ledger
          Perhaps suffices

Premium Member Democracy Seed

They live off of taxpayer money
and whatever they make on the side
from the donors who keep them in Office
a congressional bribery ride

They care not for the needs of their voters
for Republicans have their own plan
to hold on to their places in Congress
for as long as they possibly can

So they cast all their votes for the money
take vacation til voters cool down
But their votes still belong to the donors
as they bow to the mad, orange clown

The American system is broken
it is up to The People to lead
fix the old, make the good even better
plant anew, a democracy seed

Crocs In Congress

The crocodiles are
Not in swamp anymore; they
Are now in Congress.

Congress Has Left the Building

Another mass shooting,
Another protest,
A border wall crisis,
That rivals the rest.

More proof than ever,
Of a nuclear threat,
A government shutdown,
Is a pretty sure bet.

Our climate is ruined,
Our poor needs fed,
Homelessness runs rampant,
Our allies need some bread.

Wonder what can we do,
How can we fix it,
I know, let’s take a vacation,
And let it all go to spit.

Taking Credit

It’s amazing what can be accomplished if you don’t care who takes the credit. What kind of amazing things do you think could get done if Congress and our President decided that it did not make a difference which party got the credit. Perhaps if they can’t figure it out on their own, they should just post a survey on Facebook. After all, we were pretty good at choosing if we wanted Team Edward or Team Jacob. But then again, past elections tell a different story.

                                         I want it my way
but you must have it your way
                                       why not flip a coin

Congress is in Session

When I’m watching the news these days,
I just can’t help but wonder why.
When all of the stories I see,
just makes me want to scream and cry.

They all claim to be an expert,
about how everything should be.
But the only thing reported,
is hate and negativity.

I know I ain’t the smartest man,
to ever shake a wooden stick.
When it comes to the government,
it really makes me so darn sick.

True, we can’t have a perfect world,
of that I’m pretty gosh darn sure.
When our choice on election day,
is between horse or cow manure.

One side says it’ll cost a quarter,
the other wants to spend a dime.
Can’t they just meet in the middle,
and save us all this wasted time.

No one can agree on nothing,
all they can do is poke and chide.
Argue about the simplest things,
even with those on their own side.

I know it should not bother me,
and it really should not matter.
But still, I just can’t help myself,
each time it just makes me sadder.

Seems like everyone nowadays,
wants their 15 minutes of fame.
Looks like the one way to get it,
is to find someone else to blame.
