Congress Has Left the Building

Another mass shooting,
Another protest,
A border wall crisis,
That rivals the rest.

More proof than ever,
Of a nuclear threat,
A government shutdown,
Is a pretty sure bet.

Our climate is ruined,
Our poor needs fed,
Homelessness runs rampant,
Our allies need some bread.

Wonder what can we do,
How can we fix it,
I know, let’s take a vacation,
And let it all go to spit.

Either let's take a vacation, or 'let's go campaigning.' --- Raising money so they can live off the voter's dole. Disgusting swamp creatures that they are...

Wouldn't it be nice to have a job where you can take a two week vacation every two months.

Beautifully rhymed poem. A call for action has always been a call from civilians. We wait for an answer.
