It is five o'clock somewhere
And the porch is still there
There are cocktails, and the a swing that still sways
With the wind and the whispers
We will all meet here
With our memories of those yesterdays
At the end of West Road
We watch fireworks explode
From the porch on the Fourth of July
Now our children are grown
We thank God for His gift of new life
We share pictures and days tell
Of memories we won't sell
On the porch until the middle of night
From two months to ninety
The stories get mighty
On the porch that assembles the time
Through our lives and our eyes
We had a guide in the porch light
That shines on and through each passing year
On Sunny Hillside Farm this day
Family takes their place
For another photo on the porch wresting time

Congregation
Dr Ranjit Dutta
Solidly frozen
At times sometimes
Pains wake up
Within the cages
Of my ribs
To play a game
A game of hide and seek,
Again sometimes
With the first rain of springs
Flora and fauna
Gets a new lease
A lease of life,
And when
The blooming fireflies
Silently give a solemn kiss
It's then
That the sad nerve
Shivers to feel,
Trysts of vast mind
Feels every moment
Unfounded darkness
But it's there
A confluence of happiness and sorrow
Eternal congregation .

My idea of celebration...
Collection by collaboration.
A feast with friends of then and now
With family too, blood and somehow.
A table big enough to chair
All of the people here and there
With whom my time that I would share...
Both the common and the rare.
Each member and every mate
Would have before them their own plate
And cup to wine, dine - operate
As we proceed to celebrate.
Short supply - none there would be
Of food and drink for you and me.
Conversations - open, free
As if they were birds of a tree.
Equality and elimination
Of any such discrimination.
Abundance of illumination...
Every moment a sensation.
In my mind, this I create...
The idea of it seems quite great.
Your invitation lies in wait...
So come, join me and celebrate.

The dogs were lined up as everyone could see.
Are you sure this is the best spot to go have a pee?
I just need to take a p***
I'm not so sure about this!
Hey! Check out that other deciduous tree!

Two church mice scurried along,
rolling their dice and squeaking a song..
The congregation gathered,
This day it drew a throng.
The little mice quickly hid as the church bells gonged..
The sermon began.
People seated in the pews.
All rose to sing a hymn and sat again for church news..
The sermon was on "the good shepherd and his flock."
Suddenly a partitioner screamed and every one had a shock,
as the two church mice climbed into the pastor's frock..

I made my way into the clearing,
headed for the congregation.
I dashed out
and she followed me
with all four legs.
We, excited and startled
the lady with a backpack.
Her eyes and countenance
glowed at our surprise.
She looked our way,
into the neighbor’s backyard.
She’s briskly
headed to her own get together,
on two scrawny legs -
how does she do it? Her two feet
covered in canvas and rubber.
We don’t need such accoutrements.
We are but simple deer,
driven forth by the dawning sun.
She’s forgotten as we sup
on a nearby patch of strawberries.

Far from still
Just doing the Lord’s will
Bus traveling church on the road
Congregation Mission with a behold
Traveling East to West and North to South
Where the acceleration wheels take them, it is a stop
Spreading salvation through the land
Directed by Heaven at his command
Teaching the Spiritual word
Congregation singing and praying that could be heard
The Pastor preaching on the bus and various points within the USA
This is not just any congregation bus
It is the Intermodal Gateway Church
On assignment being determined
Discerning heart
Being caring souls
Connecting salvation to America
That is praying and connecting the Savior’s spirit
The congregation and Pastor deserve merit
It’s about song and praise
Everything that follows is from the amaze
The road frontier
Always keeping the spirit near
From back roads to major highways
Into towns and major cities
The congregation and Pastor being witty
Testimonial with a message
Wheels of Faith
Distances in length
Worthy cause
Heavenly force
Congregation mind
Heaven’s combined
Bus wheels keep on accelerating
The Congregation has a journey and a mission
Spiritually lifted up

The warble,
round like the earth and its sky,
land colors
of flour-
soft feathers, sits with its peers.
The blue hills,
a sea-tinted
mountainous shape against Spring's
sun-lit edge
is a harbor
for the winged creatures, amongst
a budding
tree, windy
caress of grass, the sandy
dirt of foot-
prints. A stream
gushes downwards, its silver drops
crest into waves,
the multi-
tinctures of the stones under
the silken
glassiness
are a congregation. The bird
flies away.

A banjo on her knee
A phrase that makes me smile
I have never seen this myself
But I have played a tambourine
Not in church like two of the regulars,
But in my house, and outside, in my forest.
It makes worship ever jazzier,
In both a church and the woods.
Brings congregation and songbirds alive,
Competition on.

Reputation Of Each Congregation
We are concerned about any congregation,
Who has been known for great reputation;
God receive;
Never leave;
Worship in front of cross and each station.
