Bring Congregation and Songbirds Alive

A banjo on her knee A phrase that makes me smile I have never seen this myself But I have played a tambourine Not in church like two of the regulars, But in my house, and outside, in my forest. It makes worship ever jazzier, In both a church and the woods. Brings congregation and songbirds alive, Competition on.

In Hawaii, we had a ukulele player during home group bible study. I can hear the songbirds and Caren, like a faerie, whimsically playing her tambourine. You are a joy, sweet gal!

I'm jealous! I must get a tambourine one of these days... (or should I get a banjo for my knee?) hahaha ;D Love this poem, only wish I could hear the "competition"! ;)

You have to get a tambourine and play it in the woods. Loudly sing also or chant. I prefer chanting.

My neighbors are using power tools all the time - cutting down sheds, or building garages or what have you. They hear me chanting and they wisely keep their chain saws to themselves.

I was a drummer when I was young, but the girls liked guitarists. A drama of my life. Then I learned to play, but it was too late)

We have drums all over our house, Kurt. We are both drummers. I am the one that cannot drum with any kind of rhythm except Willie Nelson's off beat rhythm. Which is the only one I hear.

This sounds like so much fun. My daughter plays the piano so much better than me and we sing Christmas songs with the girls. I do enjoy music. It frees the soul to soar. I enjoyed your poem Caren. xxoo
