Premium Member A Congregation of Deadly Sins

The Seven Deadly Sins held a conference deep within
my fragile, mortal soul with destruction as their goal.
Pride took the role of lead, but was monopolized by Greed;
Sloth paid no attention; Anger interrupted the convention;
Envy held a jealous hunch; Gluttony moved they break for lunch;
Every member knew they couldn’t trust, any suggestions made by Lust.

As the sins hemmed and hawed, Faith and Hope built a wall
around the deadly caucus, among all the raucous;
Love put a lock on the door, holding the sins in evermore
as Empathy and Charity, planted seeds inside of me.
Even though I know that they’re there, and I carry them everywhere,
As long as I remember lessons I’ve been taught, their discussions will come to naught.

Congregation Come Follow Me

The Pastor and I was carrying a Navy Blue Cloth
The entire congregation followed
There was no singing and talking
We got to this wooden shed
We laid the navy blue cloth on what seemed like a wooden bed
The Pastor announced, “This blue cloth can’t be with us and this is a must”
Then the Pastor, myself and congregation walked back from where we started prior
As we walked, the Pastor and congregation stopped to pray
However there was a relay
Then my eyes became focused, and I noticed my Grandmother on the side decked out in white
Later I stated to my Grandmother, “You are part of this also”
I was then blessed to wake up with full of praises that made me be spiritual caught up
Even though this was a dream
It was my subconscious being the stream.

Kaleidoscope Congregation

I manipulate summer skin.
You sleep a bitter symphony
Of languid purple vision
As men tongue at black eternity.
Love me if it is frantic and repulsive
For a thousand white milk rains.
My ugly shadow lake boy
Of the luscious chocolate garden
Will whisper through a gorgeous storm
Only to stare at death heave above him.
This girl is not like a sea of power.
No void to recall your bare pink woman.
Our enormous bed has honey lather
To produce lazy love at his place.
Urge me to see a goddess in worship
But please, let it be easy.

Premium Member Congregation of Bullies

Society
Is a word without real meaning.
Yet society means a lot,
Like: look the other way; look at you with disgust;
Shun and violate.

Society is a sort of congregation of bullies.
A word only used with negative connotations.

A word used when people say:
"Be a productive part of"
or
"You don't fit in."

The Worshiper and Congregation

Poised with authority and practiced in posture;
The priest in rehearsed prayer preached.
Hands clasped in deep thought
The whore was still with bowed head.

The congregation were aware; save one in prayer.
Women glanced at their husbands,
Men folk looked up at cloisters.
And God blessed the peaceful and tranquil.

Premium Member Canine Congregation

The dogs were lined up as everyone could see.
Are you sure this is the best spot to go have a pee?
I just need to take a p***
I'm not so sure about this!
Hey! Check out that other deciduous tree!

Premium Member Two church mice

Two church mice scurried along,
rolling their dice and squeaking a song..
The congregation gathered,
This day it drew a throng.
The little mice quickly hid as the church bells gonged..
The sermon began.
People seated in the pews.
All rose to sing a hymn and sat again for church news..
The sermon was on "the good shepherd and his flock."
Suddenly a partitioner screamed and every one had a shock,
as the two church mice climbed into the pastor's frock..

Congregation

Gathered in service
we face our own solitudes,
sharing perspectives
we find common ground
in this haven of hope,
where friendship conquers friendlessness;
supplicants, worshippers,
what's in a name?
together we came.
In health and in hardship we struggle,
together we grow.

The Clergyman, Cameraman and Congregation

THE CLERGYMAN, CAMERAMAN & CONGREGATION

With booming praise and heavenly devotion,
There stood a powerful pastor, full of divine emotion.
In a realm of faith, where spirits thrive,
The pastor strive to keep bodies & souls alive.4

His words flowed like rivers, reaching every heart,
His sermon sets their doubt & faith apart.
The pastor raised his hands, his voice fright,
A light from nowhere descends & shines bright.8

In anointing's strength and knowledge deep,
The cameraman, the secret, does he keep.
Through sacred halls and sermons grand,
The pastor wields his anointed hand,¹²

A scholar of scriptures, steeped in grace,
But the cameraman holds a different place.
Except the cameraman, the congregation all fell,
Uncontrollably under the anointing like a spell.¹6

The cameraman, with steady eyes & lens in hand,
Captures every move & the pastor's command.
No matter the degree the pastor may possess,
The cameraman's role, the souls to impress.²°

For he captures the essence, the vibrant display,
The show of faith & piety every service day,
Through lens, he tells the stories untold,
Moments of awe, and stories of old.²4

No matter the degree the pastor may claim,
The cameraman's art is never the same,
He sees through angles, and frames the light,
Creating a vision, vivid and so bright.²8

The pastor may heal, with hands anointed,
But the cameraman's touch makes souls enlightened,
For in every shot, a message holds,
A story of faith, that beautifully unfolds.³²

No matter the synagogues strengths glow,
The pastor, cameraman & congregation plays a vital role,
In spreading the message, both near & far,
Captivating our hearts like a guiding star.³6

No matter the degree a pastor has in anointing,
The cameraman never falls for anything.

Congregation of Animals

Rare grand gathering of all animals
was convened one Forgiveness Day
Termites had erected a big cathedral
with woodpecker as carpenter
Monkey was to be day’s preacher
Elephant the bishop took front seat
Leopards, lions, parrots, turkeys, hens
domestic and wild animals whole world
“Peace be with you”, Monkey stated
And with you and your children”,
others shouted back with a lot of force
This was offensive to some animals
Lion jumped, grabbed monkey tearing!
“Let me show you peace is not here”
Chaos erupted as predators waved teeth
Leopards grabbed goats; cats chased rats
Chickens pecked on termites
Hyenas dragged sheep for a meal
Kites perched on chickens and doves
the grand cathedral broke and tumbled
Termites and wood peckers the builders
Scattered in many directions, some eaten
Permanent enmity took center stage
today all animals chase and eat others
Termites build cathedral as man destroys
Woodpeckers try to digs holes to hide

Letter 2 the Congregation

People of God, lets state da facts
no one is perfect beyond sin or actually Christ-like
but unlike the world we suppose to seek righteousness
forget wrong & right
we been chosen, predestined
heirs to the throne forget 2nd best
so I challenge you to take a walk in my shoes
well all been ministered to
so when we approach dat judgment seat
there's no excuse...how deep is your love for Christ
when was da last time you paid your dues
blessed is the man that walketh not in the
counsel of the unGodly so let me ask you
a question why you still running wit dem dudes?
Now don't get it twisted
I don't speak words of conviction
I been sanctified too so me & you ain't different
we in da same family tree so...
with repentance our sins are forgiving
this ain't a letter of contradiction
we worship the same God
the one who knows the end & the beginning
the one who's able to save souls
or issue the death sentence
so I ask you who's really unashamed?
who's ready to take da blame
for their sinful nature
who wants to be Christ-like
when the persecution comes
and even your loved ones hate you
but don't get it confused
in dis war yeah I lost some
what does dat song say it
this battle belongs to the Lord
so pick up that heavenly shield & sword
stand firm in his word
I don't know what you heard
but we're more than conquerors
so tell me who gone conqueror us
not da prince of da air Romans 8:37
to the kingdom of God I'm an heir
da devil don't fight fair so you better stay fully equipped
we all fall we only human even peter slipped
so I ain't trippin open your eyes harden
not your heart & listen
step out da flesh get out da physical
live faithfully threw Christ take on
the full appearance of God in the spiritual

Congregation

The warble,
round like the earth and its sky,
land colors

of flour-
soft feathers, sits with its peers.
The blue hills,

a sea-tinted
mountainous shape against Spring's
sun-lit edge

is a harbor
for the winged creatures, amongst
a budding

tree, windy
caress of grass, the sandy
dirt of foot-

prints. A stream
gushes downwards, its silver drops
crest into waves,

the multi-
tinctures of the stones under
the silken

glassiness
are a congregation. The bird
flies away.
