Carefully we planned for the big day
Oblique qualms and doubts drove me away
Moody and thoughtless insensitivity
Maudlin thoughts curbed the festivity
Onerous thoughts like small transmitters
Now revealed my flutters and flitters
Ashamed, you admitted you had the jitters
Laughingly we both had learned
Intimacy shared is intimacy earned
Treasuring our love, our life unknown
You and I, together we’ve grown.
we have so much in common,
from the air we breathe,
to the food we eat,
we have so much in common,
when we stand too long,
we must take a seat,
we have so much in common,
when we hunger,
we can consume all the food on the plate,
we have so much in common,
it makes no sense,
that there could be such a thing as hate.
Common Place and Common Time
What we are is concubines
A lesser and part of now
A lesser and part of here
Dictated by the Sun
Dictated it's quite clear
Kept alive by its warmth
Kept alive by its grace
We act as if we do
When we act by laws ordained
You are here right now
Right now you are here
Simply aware of what is
Simply aware of what is clear
Clearly sustained by light
You and I are thoughts
Curiously living in the consciousness of One

Sun, Existence, Here, Now, You, I, Common
not everything
in this life
can be tied
into a
neat little
ribbon of
commonality
there are many
levels of gray
within this journey
called life
Common Mistake … Common Courtesy
Common Sense … Commonality
Common Grave – Dug … or Common Ground – Hug
Uncommon Valor takes Uncommon Power
So.. Com’ On Love … Com’ On
If we all want what we can't have,
How is it that
There's any happiness
Anywhere?
How can you just stop
Looking for that thing you never found?
Or does it really end?
Do they play pretend?
Is everybody secret-searching
Hoping they can stop the hurting
Now
Somehow?
I love to see all those blank faces
Passing me in simple places
I go everyday.
Maybe there's a way
To get inside a person's mind
And fill all of the emptiness
Before you're empty too.
It's a race against time;
I think that I might die.
Do you feel the same way?
That's step one.
