Giant pony-like puppy does not take no for an answer
A grizzly is less aggressive; he intentionally steps on my toes
If he gets any bigger, he will outweigh a giant boar
If I try to write, he runs off with my pencil in his mouth
Do I dare paint?
Painting is out. He has devoured many brushes.
He loves the attention and demands more of it.
Some times he runs full weight at me
Jumping on my recliner and tipping me.
A giant puppy who is usually wet.
We are unsure where all this water is coming from.
He has stolen our hearts, commandeering our home.
Changing our lives in enormously funny ways.
We can not fathom life without him.
Awesome armies
the kings very own
We came here despite singing over burgles
Dustmen under contract
Lilies lay bleeding in black bags
We are still whistling
Chickens languishing in street
Actresses older than thought
give commandeering comedies
Tis the talk of the town
cuckold husbands straddling
the saddle of despair
I am intolerant of people who make a meeting last two extra hours.
Asking inane questions that pertain to only them.
And of the leaders of the meeting who allow them to take over.
Commandeering the rest of us.
Some think I am rude when I leave at the scheduled time.
Half of the other participants follow me out.
~ Extinct ~
Under sky's radar
just above treetops
clouds layered white
along lazy trails inch
A breeze bestirs herself
thinks better of it --
scattered leaves left scattered
on still-green lawns
The sun, this late October day
climbs rungs of warmth, as if
to wave Autumn's chill farewell
commandeering Summer to stay
And we, we who bask in its delight
We, we who feed Mother Earth's plight
We, we who do not sense darkness in light
We, we with our dinosaur grins, are we not
The wasps are back
in full force
commandeering my porch
They do this yearly
They buzz my ears
terrorizing me
trying to chase me back into the house
so they can have the porch for themselves
I paid for the porch
not completely, but I am still paying for it.
not the wasps
I look at the can of wasp spray
which two of the wasps are examining
One on each side
They are possibly
much more intelligent than I.
ANNOYING GAME
Annoying Game
Cheers
quite annoying
voices mutter
quiet chatter
huddled in confusion
Boring broadcasters
feigns excitement
children watching
not so mellow drama
The curse preventing
Felix the cat's first act
more chatter accompanies
horrible organ music.
Resounding cheers
Greeks speaks
plays called.
"he walks the bases "
on cleats.
Dinner is served
on T.V. trays
Uncle does not move
He sits on the throne
commandeering black
and white screens
with rabbit ears.
I wait for the final cheers
Of the win, Yes, It’s over
or the Boo's for losers
Baseball, way to ruin
a child's summer.!
