A colorblind artist?
Yes
One of the best I have ever seen
He has no problem seeing red as green and green as red
Choosing pencil and charcoal
His magnificent drawings grayscale

If my melancholy can polish bliss
Sifting dust of distress for pebbles' shine
Crack a rocky lair to a gemstone mine
What colors do my tunnel vision miss?

It is white and gray
               Snow covered ground all around
                      Gray skies hang above
                      A colorblind view to see
                       Inside, I am still happy

Colorblind Dreamscape

White chalks.. on the glossy blackboard.
Black and White. .all matte and bored.
Technicolour scribbles. ..the world explored.
Vivacious markers...splashes the white board.

The aura of colors..the magical power.
Light mesmerising...the dull in cower.
Crayons and lipsticks..palettes of brush.
Vintage memories..in bookshelves flush.

Color of sun..darkens in shade.
Color of leaves..wither and fade.
Color of spring...never overstayed.
Color of life. .greys. .betrayed.

Reflections shimmer... the glass of solitude.
A kaleidoscope heart... colors in multitude.

Chameleon thoughts...in silence argues.
A 'Colorblind Dreamscape'...
the mind imbues.

Colorblind

Little white lies.
I told them in the dark,
so you’d miss out on their color,
until we made a spark.
Getting caught red handed,
Always held my mind.
So keeping truths beneath the rug,
I closed all the blinds.
I was feeling awfully blue one year,
Almost too much to live on,
But I could not let that slip,
So I reached up and grabbed the sun.
Envy once almost overcame me,
And I was grassy green,
But by this time you had your beliefs,
So I slipped it by unseen.
But not once did you ask me,
For just the truth, no lies.
So I kept you in the dark my dear,
And made you colorblind.

The poet’s eyes, a glorious azure blue
They grace his face, these flecks of splendid sky
Yet blind to color and to every hue
A truth that makes her sigh and good deny

How can in beauty imperfection be?
How can he write of rainbow colors bright?
Why must he stay unable now to see?
Kaleidoscope of colors bathed in light

Lilac and mint and plum and baby blue
Unseen by him she holds in high esteem
She wishes for a miracle come true
For him to see life’s colors in a dream

Yet from this truth her soul does comfort glean
Bright hues of rainbow in his words are seen

Colorblind

I bring him home in happiness
Not expecting your reply
For behind your false smile
Lies a thick prejudice eye

Starring down the man before you
Dressed in charcoal skin
Too ice cold in stubborness
To see the man I love within

I see he doesn't meet approval
Based on you hardening glance
But I'm sure he'd win you over
If you just gave him a chance

However if you choose not
Then disown me as well
For he's too valuable to lose
Just for your racist dwell

Call me colorblind I suppose
For I love my dearest beau
And I can't wait for the day
I may whisper my "I Do"

I love my man like I like my coffee
Black just is my cup of tea
He's won my heart and affection
Unclog your pride and see

I look not at deepened shade
For its my soul he fills with entice
Do not rainbows blend perfect together?
Why not take their advice

He follows God like yourself
Leads and leans me closer to Him
So take this moment to get to know
What lies underneath charcoal skin

Red, orange, blue, yellow,
green, violet, and indigo.
These are nature’s colors on display.
Most people can see them any day.
However, some people are not right.
They live in a world of black and white.
What can they do when flowers look like a cloud?
Their privilege to see colors is not allowed.
Everything sighted is in shades of gray.
Those who are colorblind are living this way.

Colorblind

Black yellow red brown and white

I’m not racist I am color blind born without sight

Its something you can learn and keep within

How can you judge a person by the color of they’re skin

You don’t have to like everyone but you should show respect

Why are you violent against other maybe you suffered some neglect

Shouting words of anger and burning of cross

These hurt others but it’s your great humanitarian loss

Get to know the person and in them discover

Never ever judge a book by its cover

If you want to make it through heavens gate

Be colorblind and don’t give into evil and hate

Colorblind

I don’t fit in and I don’t mind,
This world is slightly colorblind.

Smiles shaded as if at a mascaraed ball,
Some day that will be their fall,

I don’t fit in and it’s just fine,
This world is lost and can’t seem to find,

There way back to that narrow path,
Walking towards the light and away from wrath,

I don’t fit in and neither should you,
That is when you know that you are being true,

Eternity calls and we answer with our lives,
While the rest of the bunch are stuck in bee hives.

Colorblind Conviction

The guilt I wore upon my skin
is why the coppers took me in
and quickly did the jury pounce
for my appearance did announce
that I was criminal indeed
and so they wouldn't let me plead
though even if that worldly race
had let me illustrate my case
the words for them that I would rear
would teeter in 'n out their ear
it's true I did look good in stripes
and thus behind confining pipes
the jury thought I would look best
(which justified my quick arrest)
but luckily the judge did see
my form lacked all humanity
I was not capable of harm
nor was there reason for alarm
he rose and slammed his wooden hand:

"Why is this zebra on my stand?"

Is it wrong to accuse someone of stupidity
If they are unaware of it’s existence in the first place ?
People have to know things in order to have an opinion
It’s kind of like prejudice
People aren’t aware that it exists until their taught
You don’t know to hate another person or race
Based on their color or culture
It’s just not our nature
But we do everything to keep ourselves separated
We accuse each other of hate, deceit, and violence
We protect ourselves with guns and fear
We are cautious and leery of each other
Never turning a blind eye off one another
We are taught very early in life to hate
Whether by accident or on purpose
We still teach it
We are given toy guns to play with when were young
So that when were older
We can graduate to the real thing
We are a species of the highest form
Yet we are the most extinct
We spend more time feeding and killing
Than we do saving and educating
We are
In desperate need of help

Colorblind

I care not
For the color of one's skin.
I care only
For what beauty is within.
I care for
The heart that makes the man.
I care for the person
Who does all he can.
I care for
The soul.
I care for the person
As a whole.
