Clear As Crystal Poems | Examples

Shina Is The Northern Star

Beneath the heavens' endless gleam,
Where stars like silver brilliant gleam,
She stands, a beauty spun from dream,
Her hair a silken thread on high.

The moon, in awe, slows in her flight,
To touch the waves that seek her name;
Each lock of hers, a thread of light,
That puts the restless sea to shame.

Her voice, as clear as crystal streams,
Cuts through the night like melody,
A song that stirs the silent beams,
And sets her spirit wild and free.

The sea that weeps no more, but sings,
As Shina glides on waves untamed,
Her tears like pearls the ocean brings,
To honor her, forever named,
Shina is heaven high the northern star.

When the buds are tender green
And the fig leaves begin to sprout
None will mistake the end time scene,
The earth itself will shout.

Upon a horse,faithful and true,
Jesus returns on a cloud,
As, in the air He comes into view
Every knee is bowed.

Water ,clear as crystal now,flows
Reviving,the once dead;
Those faithful,who Jesus knows,
His name on their forehead.

A new earth,no more fire,sunlight or sea,
But living water that heals,thee and me.

I had a dream...

I am sleeping on a cloud. Upon awakening, I gaze at planet earth below. From my vantage point I can see the globe in its entirety. Something has changed. Before falling asleep I was watching the news. It spoke of war, inflation, hatred and prejudice. There was talk of deforestation, desertification, plastic pollution and radiation poisoning. People were fighting, they were killing. Spilled blood was everywhere, staining the beauteous land.

But the world I am seeing now is at peace. The lion sleeps with the lamb. People from all cultures, nations and languages are living in harmony, a true rainbow of mankind. The air is sweet, the waters pure and clear as crystal. Instinctively, I get down on my knees and pray to the God of heaven, as tears of confusion and joy stream down my face. A soft, low voice from above calls to me: "My son, no need for tears any longer. Look! I have made all things new." It is only then I understand, this is no dream after all. I am in paradise!

Upon a horse,faithful and true,
Jesus returns on a cloud,
in the air He comes into view

The book of life is opened,at last
Sin meets it's heart's desire;
The deceiver and the deceived,both cast
into the lake of fire.

Water ,clear as crystal now flows
Reviving,the once dead;
Those faithful,who Jesus knows,have
His name on their forehead.

A new earth,no pain death,sunlight or sea,
A new heaven with God each believer will be

Haiga for the Heavenbound

By Mark D. Stucky
We search for the source
flowing with living water
and find our new home

*(About this work: This ecological/spiritual haiga--an image integrated with haiku text--was inspired by Revelation 22:1, “Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.” The image of harsh desert with threatening storm clouds, crystal glass filled with water, and water-nourished paradise is a highly edited collage of four individual stock photos and contains a dozen separate layers in the original Photoshop file. This was first published in Small Town Anthology IX: Southwest Michigan’s Tournament of Writers 2023, Vicksburg Cultural Arts Center, 2023, p. 365. See also my poems “Bringing Heaven to Earth” and “Resurrection iBodies.”)

Death of a loved one

Fifty-five years! More or less! I did not know, then,
How, to your adieu, o mother, I said Amen;
Later, like the ache of an amputated limb,
Existence, like a gloom-glaring jail cell, grew grim...!

I know, from the frail earthen pitcher of physique,
Your soul, O my mother, that, for long, was homesick;
Had taken its flight far from this interim earth,
And amalgamated into the endless mirth...!

It's not due to doubts about your life eternal,
Nor the chance of being a creature infernal;
Your passing through the gateway of naked newness,
Is as clear as crystal to me, though seems clueless…!

Tingles of your touches tinged into tenderness,
Turned too into touch-me-not of tentativeness;
Your existence in me is a continuum,
It's not a cloudy chemical residuum...!

I know your death is not a dark dusk but a dawn,
Designs of resurrection are dazzlingly drawn;
Ignorance that ignites the minds with illusion,
Fails to form fundamentally free faith fusion...!!!

Graduation Day

Commencement ended soon and costumes came to stay.
They got fit into me well, like feathers that sway;
How evenly cute rows of students stood at ease!
As heads high stand spruce and coconut and palm trees...!

As the bright sun's rays glisten the waters troubled,
A bit of joy of my friends, in me too bubbled;
A tinge of pain amalgamated with soft rage,
With my stress and strain within I did get engage...!

What's graduation when exam was not done well?
Don't more than potentialities, here, marks sell?
One answer that though I knew as clear as crystal,
Had stuck my mind like bullet in a jammed pistol...!

Though I stood smiling for a better photo shoot,
Mind turned numb, like a flute gradually gone mute;
Till a gleam of contentment creep within me soon,
Wouldn't my degree blink long like a gaudy balloon...???

Premium Member Is Truth the First Casualty of War and Why Is That

It's to demilitarize Ukraine; to de-Nazify,
Did Ukraine dare attack regions of Donetsk and Lugansk?
Said, yet, Putin; he did not, clear-as-crystal, specify,
Did countries of west arm Kyiv against the Russia's ransack...?

What's truth? Jesus did not ask Pontius Piolet in such vein,
Could all that Putin narrates considered the Gospel-truth?
Total truth was lost in ruthlessness - this was Jesus-pain,
Could Zelenskyy be to hold realistic truths to sooth...?

Ukraine influence in Russia be destroyed, Putin said,
Truth alone wins, they say, is it in reality so?
This, Putin said truth, and, cause why he had to go-ahead,
If truth does not win, where will Ukraine for its justice go...?

Truth is yet, not all; truth, once, used to be devoid of chaff,
Truths of nations of war, need not, bid other nations laugh...!

Our history has known too many wars by far,
Not one’s gone to oblivion without a scar.

In a war - other truth, contrived by a wrong man,
Where in fact there is, clear as crystal, only one.

The culprit is the power, held in evil hands,
Obscured by the entitlement to foreign lands.

Convenient truth then plays in to justify,
False cause, offering no comfort to those who die.

Among all casualties of war the first to go
The one and only truth the history will know.

The only pure and pristine truth worth fighting for -
All means and measures taken to avert a war.

Premium Member Crystal Clear

I never got to meet her, but she left me with inspiration.
Perhaps I will never meet her, but I was impressed.
Inspired enough to give her a face, a poetic place.
Impressed, because I felt the presence of creativity.

She was both open and honest, and clear as crystal.
Her name was Crystal as indicated on the note she left.
Of her sense of taste and value system, there was no doubt.
I quickly learned from her brief note what she was really all about.

She was about renewal and renovation; restoration and resurrection.
She took an old rusty tool box, and gave it a new life and fresh luster.
Having never seen or met her, we were introduced by an 8-worded note.
Life is indeed many a splendid thing, filled with beautiful people and poetry.

On my car's windshield, her note said, "I am indebted to you for $20". Crystal. No, Crystal, it is I, forever indebted to you, for this poem given
birth by you.

Leave Me Alone

Leave Me alone
Like the empty tape they film on,
They try to fill me with hate,
As if the words they say could even hurt me,
From what is now and always will be their hate,
Perfectly embossed on the screen
The vision is clear as crystal
Their hate is so loud, but I leave them to their devices
To go, to sit, and to watch a film, where I can disappear.

The Prisoner

spirit adventurous
beauty in a conventional world
The jailer dangle the key of isolation
as her maverick desires
is tagged essentric.
bared, stripped off curiosity
she is a phantom
caught in scarlet embrace
a heart once clear as crystal
dims in the dawn of prejudice.
spineless soul
delicate innocence inure by cruelity
divergent, seeking to belong
lost in the maze of vitriol.
decorated by scars
of piercing harsh words
blooming a handicap mind
locked up, surrendering
that she's not good enough
retreating into submission's shell.
