The Right Path
I will
follow the path
you have laid out for me
if I wish to succeed, I have
no choice
Identity
A name?
With or without
I think: I am
Myself
--- the beast's nature --- :
pantheistic pony:
one-trick or no, the tide buoys drop
by drop.
Needle
in a haystack:
--- that muffled sound ... logic? --- :
no matter, the rest's dross, pry good -
sense loose.
The sun rising
tracks night's arc yet to be,
hidden dreams stirring, seeded star
and moon.
Onion is crying
For-itself
Without peeling
Without cutting
Only sitting
On the shelf
Prices to soar
Without uproar
Maximum this year
Minimum next year
Unable to know
Why prices grow?
Sometimes to throw
Sometimes to borrow
So much confusion
Or the market's illusion
Farmer in delusion
Customer's suffocation
Problem to solve
Still unsolved
Of simple pricing
Without price hiking
Of the perishable cycle
Of onions survival.
-Rohan Dhabade
storm waves amassed
if only I had waited
for the waves to pass
my poetry could have floated
gently to shore
Is to be free of the Gods
free of all human constraints
your mind can then soar
amongst rainbows
of tranquility
their brains, equatorial rainforests
abilities, tools of a grading tractor
friends, wild asses of humanity
ideology, thorny bush pedestrian
despite, yellow stars twinkle brightly
One thousand went to pray
I with them in the holy place
in deep meditation I fell asleep
only ten people I could see
still kneeling and lost in prayer
Scared I asked in silence,
“Where are the rest gone?
Why are we so few here?”
The Almighty answered,
promptly from the sanctuary;
“Be not scared, my child
I bring this to you today
to have idea of the world
that prays decorative prayer
preaches gospel without salvation
Of the one thousand in prayer
the ten you see still praying
are here to seek Me in truth.
The rest who fill the sanctuary
are simply beautiful tourists”.
The amount of wealth you offer
The number of times you pray
The beauty you show in sanctuary
are ordinary to me in reality
quality of heart and actions move Me”
Within the human heart,
Lives humanity’s true self;
restless, yearning and thirsty
for what the world cannot
give willingly
When you lick dust in wet season
Wallow in the mud in dry season
Celebrate joyfully in funeral places
And get tormented by fellow humans
Then you see the risk of being human
When men in robes eat their own tails
Get amused of humanity of some people
And deny being a brother’s keeper and;
When they mock at vendors of white dove
Then you regret being a being human
When the mind that reasons apes
The tongue that tell the truth lies
The hand that builds destroys
And the ears that hear are blocked
Then being a human being is great risk
When human deeds are captured yonder
Where Spying and reporting are prohibited
Accountability narrated to a panel one judge
Where witnesses are persona non-grata
Then it is clear being human is a big risk
Patience
calm aura
tolerance gladly exercised
actions peaceful, thoughts clear
acceptance
Noise
Sharp sound
Crashing into conscious
jarring vibrations, jagged edges
confused
standing
upon the edge
you can look far and wide
but you cannot take another step, lest
you die.
extremes
not to esteem
precarious position
when the absence of balance kills
vision.
