Chimpanzees are listed as, endangered
and have already disappeared, from four countries
Their habitat is in amazing forests, of central Africa
and they spend a lot of their days, high up in the trees
When chimps are grounded, they travel on all fours
but they can walk on two legs, for a mile with no sores
They use a stick, to fish termites out of a mound
and drink water, by bunching leaves from the ground
Chimpanzees can live, for more than fifty years
and are very social, nurturing their young for many years
They are our closest cousins, with 98% of our genes
so let us have respect, for our ancestral prime mates
The Ebola disease, has killed tens of thousands
and poaching for bushmeat, is to feed rich residents
Infant Chimpanzees, are caught and sold as pets
as the greed of money, sends all life down the dunny
Bonobos are listed as, endangered
and mirror Chimpanzees, with 98.7% of human DNA
They are found in forests, south of the Congo river
and are sometimes called, a pygmy Chimpanzee
Bonobos are smaller, leaner and darker than Chimpanzees
and their society, is a little different to their cousins
Their groups are led by females, that are easier to please
with keeping relationships, that solve issues with antitoxins
If two groups of Bonobos, come together in the forest
you can expect them to engage, into one hell of a fight
Bonobos have a low reproductive rate, and that’s not great
so we, their ancestry prime mates, need to save their plight
Humans hunt them to eat, and trade them as bushmeat
and humans keep them as pets, and sell them for medicine
There is a greed for money, for poaching and deforestation
which leads to civil unrest, with the human overpopulation
Chimpanzees are very close to humans
Which is why we're so attracted to their noodles
They amuse us no-end
Into laughter, they send
As cute as can be, our funny bone they loosen
The screams of a chimp
reminds me of French toast sticks
it's mysterious
They aren't chimpanzees!!!
They descend from mountains
when their stomachs growl,
and they tumble with their excessive weight...
getting dirt, stones and twigs caught in their fur.
Two of them just crashed, making the loudest thud,
sending animals and humans scrambling!
Someone screams, " They aren't chimpanzees!!! "
" Run, son! " a frightened mother shouts.
" Mom, grab my hand...I'm scared! " the kid yells.
They aren't chimpanzees!!!
They live in the wilderness feeding on deer and wildcats;
they are extremely savage, roaming the dense hills
and open plains, and with one stroke of their powerful paws,
they can instantly kill defenseless creatures or people.
They travel far to get their food, and their senses
are as keen as tigers and lions hunting their prey.
If you hear groans or strange noises: look out!
They hide behind bushes and trees and they could be
in your own backyard! These beasts are...
