Cohorts of suits distort
Court the last resort
Damnation of immigration
Onslaught in cahoots cavort
Pander to propaganda slander
Escort darker fraught faces
From other races caught
To starker places.. shunted
Hunted like a sort of sport
History debunked
“Before” skunked & kerplunked
Lore of Yore junked
Fossil fuel full sumps
Well More is More
Trees flump become clumps
Of gnarly snarly stumps
Petrol pumps pour
Sheriffs thumps any grumps
Tariffs Gazumps…prices soar
Ready for the final encore?

So now what, where do I go from here
I'm wandering around feeling a bit weird
People that I know don't know how to react
Thinking my spirits have finally cracked
Not so, I welcome this change of scene
Drinking more coffee, it's becoming routine
It's similar to finally stopping to smoke
After forty long years for fear that I'll croak
Well wish me luck, I need your support
Hope I don't go weird and begin to cavort
Wearing lots of makeup and leather that rocks
Playing air guitar with long flowing locks
If that starts to happen, I'll revert to the funnies
Hopping around like a pregnant bunny
Hang on a minute, I think that was funning
Well sneaky old me, how utterly cunning

And conquering them is just sport
Since Trump likes to rape
Girls might not escape
And everyone else he’ll deport

To visit the Gulf of America,
In case you get the notion,
You might fly over what’s now called
The Mar-a-Lago Ocean.
Be sure to click your seatbelt,
For when using this portation,
(The “trans” has been removed)
You’ll pass a bright red once-great nation.
Get your brand-new passports ready
For the agents are quite brusque
And you might just get deported
To a planet now named Musk.
What once was Mars is filled with
Crowds of migrants (oh, such noise!),
Lining up to use the bathrooms
Clearly labeled Girls or Boys.
There’s a huge arena filled with
Those with polio or mumps,
For there are no more vaccines,
Which Junior argued were for chumps.
While back on earth, the military
(Minus gays and gals)
Is patrolling Mar-a-Gaza,
Filled with Donald’s kiss-ass pals.
And in Congress, the Republicans,
With joyfulness, cavort,
Knowing that, no matter what,
They’ll have the backing of the Court.
For those of us remaining,
We can mutually mope
Or reclaim the Gulf of Mexico,
With just a thread of hope.

I’m drowning in sunset’s last yellow rays.
Clouds plush as pillows cavort, then fade away.
I want to see, to touch, to feel, and breathe the ocean in;
to seize each sacred second – not to stray.
In primrose twilight, summer lingers near.
A giant stillness surrounds me.
There is so much glory to behold
touching the horizon of a placid periwinkle sea.
Ecstasy envelops me. I melt like ice cream.
September disrobed is a Sapphire night.

Staircase shifts as my footsteps climb
Trapeze tree swing, springy arm chimpanzee
Undulates gripping limbs, gym sublime
Driftwood bone betides baton twirling frenzy
Intimate sub-sand somersault, primate

Double view plateau, marina masts poise
Usher terpsichorean dream, breeze buoys
Nautical cavort awkward flap flail sail pelican
Evolves to swan serene seaside glide elegant

It was a warm balmy night very peaceful
the woods slept soundly the moon shone
In the quiet stepped out a unicorn flowing
silver mane it paused sniffing the air warily
Satisfied it started to cavort around gayly
soon a stag joined in and a fairy both dancing
They called to friends to join in all stepping high
Dancing and cavorting they continued till dawn.
They then went their separate ways only hoof
marks showed they were ever there people
puzzled over marks and shook their heads
Yet on the next moon lit night they returned.
And for many nights they cavorted with glee
Waiting for something to appear still waiting
then a star beamed down and prettily she
came touching noses with her mate then
They vanished back into the undergrowth
leaving all wondering if they ever or not
had been there at all.

Perhaps all women are part faerie, for what woman can deny her faerie blood when the portals to her own land are open; when the full moon sings its insistent song; when sorrow and passion and rage pulse through her body at moon times. ... ~Brian Froud
Moon-time dreams of fairies,
as if she has always been at home with the fae
and magic.
Dancing nymphets
among the trees and in the glen
cavort.
Twirling
herself away,
once.
Moon-time dreams of fairies
among the trees in the glen,
once.

I looked it up and they now say that theory is not true, but it is true that small items, animals, tremors, etc. do affect the whole world in some way. In so speaking, "The Butterfly Effect".

Oh, to watch the sunset, sitting with my guy,
seeing the persimmon of a summer sky.
Like apricot jam, it’s slathered out and glowing -
glowing like the smile, which on my face is growing.
Clouds as plush as pillows cavort, then fade away.
Sea gulls call out cow-cow-cow at the end of day.
Upon the beach we hear the rising of the tide.
I cuddle even closer to my sweetheart’s side.
He puts an arm around me as the cool breeze plays
with the palm which underneath we’re sitting as it sways.
Sun’s become a rose in bloom, sinking into sea.
Eventide unfurls around us, so enchanting me.
Slight wisps of twilight clouds will also soon be gone.
Still I wish this loveliness would go on and on.
Sun will be replaced by moon and shine for us no more
after sunset’s final light has drenched this splendid shore.

Churning listless feeble foaming waves
Pods of Humpback whales splash and dive
Reflecting sunset’s waning rays.
As curly crimson clouds arrive,
Far Edgecombe’s volcanic cone
Shines bright in alpenglow, alone.
Cloudy embers ease into eve,
Flushing Ferrari fires from day
As sun dips for its nightly dunk,
In search of Neptune’s treasure trunk.
Bald eagles soar for lofty nests
Atop crowns of gnarled, ancient spruce.
As Sitka harbor lights wink on,
Ships cast lines, mooring for the night,
To wait salmon fishers at Dawns light
Boatsmen stroll the quays to cavort
In taverns nested by the port,
As stirring strings softly serenade
A music festival ode to night.

Amidst dulcet tones of mid-day
a friendly hum tickles my ear
before rollicking into view
My eyes cavort, my head does sway
I'm led in dance as it draws near
cool in temper and warm in hue
Its beauty boasts in modest May
its curiosity sincere
now where there was one, there are few
A rainbow of colors array
these flying jewels, I endear
we share a smile then bid adieu
Moments of frisson, chill the arm
as a witness to nature's Charm
