Capturing thoughts
A truly lovely poem I have read,
Spoke volumes ‘bout the power of the pen.
At times our thoughts on paper must be said
Before they fly away, we’ll capture them.
On paper then we see the passion inked
With pen in hand words scribed across the page.
When reading we can see how these are linked
Once in our view,

Capturing the Tranquility
She opened the bay window to better see the swans
They encouraged tranquility; inspiring peace and love.
The neighbor’s garden is gorgeous in April.
She took off her reading glasses to get a better look.
The sky is perfect today, a marvelous color of blue.
There is a purity in the air, an indescribable ambiance.
She leaves her coffee for a

Capturing the Moment
Chromatic cascade
across the land
sporting a cavalcade
of roses, parrot tulips,
irises, narcissus
and I look out over the
painted mountain
to revel in the
wildflowers waltzing
in a casual breeze.
Atop the verdigris
the flora brings
serenity to my spirit
and I grab my
paint-box and canvas;
it’s time to capture
the season’s rebirth
once again.

Capturing Courtney
Courtney
Nerdy, honest, creative, funny
Mother of Darian and Cash
Lover of a good book stash, thrift store trash, and travelling without whiplash Who feels empathy for the homeless, the hopeless, and disgust for the useless
Who needs my family close to me, a bit of morbidity, and my writings validity

Capturing My Desire
2021, the year I capture my desire
Sonya Sanchez said to catch the fire
I stand bold and put on my fly attire
Word remains my bond
Low vibrations are for liars
Elevating is now dire
There is no going back
The universe has spoken
I can only rise higher
Celestial deities presenting signs,
On how to grow wiser
His eye is on the sparrow
Sings the

Capturing Poetry Contests Emotion
The participant
Expectant
The judger
But a resonator
Void in between
May glean
Or may not
Being self taught
If he does
Feeling a buzz
Our good friend
Else fiend
Or are we
Unbound and free
Either which way
In play

Capturing a Poets Mind
Unlock your heart with poetry
Let them sing songs of mystery
Fill your soul with history
Hear sounds of philosophy
Be charmed with rhymes noted
Tell others and become devoted
With words written down as a slogan
As they capture the mind of a poet

Capturing Your Sound
Wavelengths of perfect pitch
Tones whole and mellow
Notes filled with harmony
Seeing through your ultrasound
Complete and very clear
Speaking low and softly
Gently caressing my soul
Your depth of sound
Reaches into my soul
Together an orchestra of love
Apart there's only silences
This day I ask let me be,
Your woofer so all will hear
This sound that has
Captured Me

Capturing Moments
Yesterday at a restaurant with family…during our talking, laughing…eating
one again I realized how every moment’s fleeting.
A story is told, we laugh but that story’s laughter does not last
because another story takes its place and it slips into the past.
So when a moment surfaces…before the next one arrives to displace it
I try to let that moment

Capturing Each Moment of Time
Droplets of rain dripping down your cheek
Caught by my hand whisking them away
This heart has found its lost love in you
My hands are now yours this body too
Forever you will always be mine and I yours
No poetry ever written could replace our souls
Nor could dig as deep into mine as yours
Our blood now runs

Capturing Your Thoughts
Poetry is not just words but thoughts and memories
Each of us blending together through our minds
Poets become a silent family through their poetry
I have never met you yet, I have become close to you
Poets are family

Capturing Miss Toody
Flamboyant search for a woman who had lost her mind.
Luckily she was outrageous and quite easy to find.
Her rainbow hair and the braided elephant she rode
Were clues easily deciphered, faster than Morse code.
She wore a turquoise hat, with a noisy penguin on the top.
She shopped at every store, and bought every broom and mop.
She was

Capturing Moments
By: Tom Wright
12/3/98
Two strangers meet
and a brief moment share.
While one places significance,
one seems to not care.
Who owns the moments,
between this party of two?
Should their occurrence,
have been allowed to accrue?
While neither had intent,
of inflicting pain.
One had surrendered the moment,
to return not again.
A moment though shared,
may be remembered by but one.
Those we've stored in our

To capture ones eye
Blending colors together
Creating images
Transformed into living color

Each brush stroke and hair
Gliding across the canvas
With swirls and twirls
From colors you choose
Theses images of art

Capturing My Soul
You are the word that has captured my soul
You moved through my mind connecting all dots
Through my electrodes you flowed creating words
Connecting deep into my soul
As I read your poetry my mind wonders
Wondering if what you wrote was for me
Theses words you have placed together
Reach farther then any before so deep into my
