Premium Member A Bit of Hokay Pokay

Methinks I'm overdoing these pep talks
You people must be tired and bored
I hereby announce, going back to the sillies
Worry not, it's off my own accord

A niche that's always been my cup of tea
Poetry that includes lots of humour
Get quite a kick out of making folks laugh
Losing my smile's just a rumour

So here we go, are you ready for this stuff
I'm afraid it can get a bit hokay
What did the water say to the cruise ship?
Nothing, it just waved... okay-dokay

Now wasn't that extremely thoughtful of me
Coming up with this comedic gem
I'm not just another pretty face you know
I'm real kind and a genuine friend

Are you ready to bust a gut laughing again
Well maybe I'm exaggerating a bit
Are you ready to pee in your pantaloons
Oops sorry! No off colour quips

I've always been known as a rebellious sort
But I've tried hard to mend my ways
So it's nothing but sillies from this day forward
You can bet all your hard earned pay!

[Folk are gonna talk if I keep writing from the
Lady’s perspective... so here’s another. It means
Nothing... honest. Try this to Bette Middler’s
‘Company B’]

Funny how my boyfriend never dances with me
Even more amusing when he sat on a bee
Jumped up getting jerky
Then got kinda twerky
Screaming will somebody suck the sting out of me

We’ve been getting cozy if you know what I mean
I suppose you might suggest I know where he’s been
But don’t bust a gut, pal
I won’t suck his butt, pal
’cause I wash his undies and they’re never that clean

Premium Member I Got To Keep Movin On-

Move it on , movin on

Moving on down I got to keep keeping on, going
I got to keep going got to get going
That they get to keep on going
Just love loving rolling on down the highways
I got to keep going on moving

Keep grinding down the pathways
Got to get got to get out of this rut
Bust a gut

Premium Member Laughter

Laughter's healthy, contagious, and brightens your day.
It's pun that's a groaner or joke that's risque.
It's a belly laugh, horse laugh, or laugh like a loon
At a comic strip. slapstick or clown or cartoon.

Laughter's chuckles and chortles, a snicker or snort.
It's a humorist's quip or a jester at court.
It's amusement that's droll or the last laugh that's best
Or a rib-tickler, knee-slapper, jape, or a jest.

Laughter's mirth and hilarity, wisecracks or wags.
It's a yuk or a cackle and zingers and gags.
You can giggle, guffaw, or can laugh up your sleeve,
Bust a gut, or with levity tension relieve.

Laughter's wit that's impromptu or monologue planned.
Its a sitcom with punchlines and laughter that's canned.
It's a pie in the face or a pratfall or prank
And comedian's laugh all the way to the bank.

The Faces of Money

If Washington came back to life
I wonder how he’d feel
To be pictured on a quarter
And a dollar bill – surreal!

Abe Lincoln, too, would bust a gut
If he became alive,
To see his visage plastered
On a penny and a five.

And Alexander Hamilton,
If he could live again,
Would love the play about him
And his picture on the ten.

Had Andrew Jackson ditched his grave,
He’d likely argue plenty
About his image front and center
On our nation’s twenty.

Ben Franklin, though, would be real proud
If he came back to earth,
To find out that a hundred dollar bill
Proclaims his worth.

McKinley’s portrait graces
Money that we rarely use.
(I’ve never even seen that bill –
Five hundred smackeroos!)

Poor Jefferson, despite his wealth
And all he got to do,
Unfortunately got his mug
On the elusive two!

The pictures on our currency
Have long been set in place.
Thank goodness or our current prez
Would swap ‘em for his face.
