A golden griffin flies right
off the sheet,
A purple unicorn prances
near your feet.
A friendly sea serpent
splashes in the blue,
While tiny pixies blow
sparkles over you.
Close up the book until next
time they meet.
She said I love you.
I said I love you.
The waitress said I love you.
The table of ten said I love you.
Am I in a movie?
Will they soon break out in song?
We broke out in laughter.
It’s all right though it feels all wrong.
Perhaps the whole world could learn -
unashamedly exclaim the same;
and laughter, likewise engages the heart.

Elle a dit je t’aime.
J’ai dit je t'aime.
La serveuse a dit je t’aime.
La table de dix personnes a dit je t’aime.
Suis-je dans un film?
Vont-ils bientôt se mettre a chanter?
Nous avons éclaté de rire.
C’est bien, même si ça semble mal.
Peut-être que le monde entier pourrait apprendre -
s’exclamer sans honte la même chose;
et le rire engage également le cœur.
First there was you
Beautiful, full of hope and courage.
You stood there at the very edge of the cliff,
Breaking out...
Far beyond you was me,
I looked at you; you looked at me;
I realised you were my own.
In your eyes I could see a reflection of who I was,
And who I was going to be.
I knew if I spoke you could decipher my foreign language
You'd relieve angst.
I never had to explain.
I looked at you;
I saw you;
I recognised you.
I perceived the tears you had at the corner of your eyes;
Even when your mouth did nothing but smile.
I realised the bitterness in your laughter;
The weight in your wings;
Even if you were flying much higher.
I realised the coldness in your gentle but few words.
You were painting the world dark,
All of it was nothing but bleak;
Even though you wished to see light.
But honey you and I are the same
So different but yet so alike
Help, is all you wanted
"Don't fall,"
Stare at me and beyond me...
I will reach out to you
And you'll become my world
At the very edge of your Cliff
I'm in love with laughter, I'm sure you have guessed
It's all through my poetry, with happy I'm obsessed
Best way to be
Between you and me
I break out in giggles each time I undress

Somewhere for some one
The rule of average is the best bet
But for me this appears to be a curse
The light I receive
The water I drink
The air I inhale
All are rated average
The thought I think
The words I speak
All are clichés
The story I tell
The path I walk
Either overdone or overused
The problem I face
The mistake I do
Incur again and again
The solution I have
The feeling I feel
The future I see
All are nothing new
The poem I write
The poem I read
All are treated as repetition
In the chart of my life
The bars I have
Clearly show me that
I am desperately in need of a break out.
Break out.
Don't be scared.
Crawl out of your shell.
Don't be afraid to express yourself.
