Premium MemberMy Son The Tree

I am so proud to have my son growing up right next to me
Standing so tall and majestic for all the world to see
Raising him in a world with global warming is a lot more difficult today
Strong winds have caused him to lose a branch or two
His bravery and his survival instincts continue to shine through
I am so proud of him as he has allowed an eagle to use him to make his nest
I told him to establish strong roots and Mother Nature will look after the rest
Christmas is always an interesting time of the year
Some of us will be chosen by humans who want to decorate us to spread good cheer
To the squirrels who scurry up our trunks almost every day
Or that pesky little woodpecker that seems to wake us up every morning without delay
We are honored to have you join us as our guests
Feel free to throw down a blanket and have a picnic beside us
All we ask of you is that you please pick up your mess

Maternal builders
Patiently gather debris
Fragile wombs of blue

Cherry Tree

Blushing pink petals
Tossed in my path with shy love
Nature's flower girl

Budding Beauty

Nourished by warm sun
Buds awaiting deep within
Icy tree limbs melt

Premium MemberAn Attenuated Tree Branch

An attenuated tree branch reaches out to its drowning shadow in the inert millpond.

(23 Syllables)

Personification is a poetic device and not a poetic form, hence me labeling this 'prose poetry'.

The Mighty Branch

This day, a hopeful tree with many hopeful twigs lost a mighty branch...

Protennoia On a Tree Branch

I, the holy spirit, sat on my branch to watch my seed of light
This song came from me, and I made breath for my seed to eat
I fluttered to where they now live, which is the land of the five trees

Inspired by this section of the Trimorphic Protennoia: “The voice came through me. I created breath in my people. And I cast the eternally holy spirit into them, and I ascended and entered my light. I got on my branch and sat among the children of holy light. And I withdrew to where they lived."

Premium MemberThe Lost Branch

Sometimes, close families can fall apart;
too hard to understand in hindsight's view-
when growing up together bound each heart.

As cousins, we were playmates, tight and true-
and born to sisters who were dear and kind.
But bonds began to break down as we grew.

In time, we moved away- they stayed behind,
and distance fed the gap to widen more-
until the silence 'tween us was resigned.

Now, strangers to those who we did adore,
we cherish photos of that precious spell
when life was simple, fed by good rapport.

Though other branches on our tree hang well-
heartbreak about this lost one- can't dispel.

Nature Talk

Trees speak in whispers,
words dance within leaves, rustling.
Roots deep hold secrets
whilst barks break in memory.
Birds answer a question, lost.

What might it be that it is not?

That you may think it

It shall become.

To this truck

A tin-can life be tied;

Riding byways, flying skyways

Painting scars upon the face

Of every universe passing.

Pushing back upon us

In its striving to release.

Hold them back, fold them back

Ride them in upon themselves

Those endless songs

That carry us along

Upon this wondrous ride

Consumed by force

Dissolved in tastes

Of something new

That greater effort

To enjoin.

Each soul a branch

Each God a tree

Premium MemberApple Bouquet

Apple Bouquet

Bouquet of apples adorn on the trees
Born of the flower pollinated by bees
Varieties of apples large and small
Red, green and pinks shade mixes of all

Apples nurtured by cord of the tree
Soft gentle breeze swing apples to see
Bobbing arm branches like child on a knee
Protected and cradled within its soft leaves

Fragrance abound a sensual delight
Sweet or tart some with crispy crunch bite
Healthy are they to keep doctor away
Told to young children parents may say

Pies or crumbles, a delicious made sauce
Picked from the trees gods gifted grown source
Recipes of thousands to call from a book
Even to freeze some easy to cook

Freshly made juice or cider if dare
Mixed in a cocktail just be aware
Treat for a horse you may wish to share
Place on bird table our friends to care

When all is harvest and leaves on the ground
Ready to sleep recoup nourishment found
Pruning the branches care plan for the trees
Seasons new harvest farmers hope to foresee

The Branch That Stood Alone

THE BRANCH THAT STOOD ALONE
CONNECTED TO A TREE THAT HAS OLDER VEINS AND ROOTS
CONSTANTLY BLOWING IN MANY DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS
TRYING TO DESTROY THE BRANCH ALONE
JUST BLOWING AT A HIGH DESTINATION TO BE GONE
THE BRANCH STILL STANDS ALONE
ALL OTHER BRANCHES ARE GATHERED TOGETHER
STAYING WITH EACH OTHER, AS IF THE BRANCH DOES NOT MATTER
THE BRANCH ALONE STILL IS STANDING
UNTIL ONE-DAY THE BRANCH ALONE
BUILT-UP THE STRENGTH, REMOVED AND WAS GONE

HAS FOUND A NEW PLACE
A NEW TREE, A NEW GROUND
A GROUP WITH LOTS OF LOVE
AS ONE STILL SEEKS GOD ABOVE.

NOTE: THIS POEM IS FOR PEOPLE THAT STANDS ALONE WHEN SOME FAMILY MEMBERS, FRIENDS, CO-WORKERS, OTHER PEOPLE HAS DIS-CONNECTED YOU FROM THEIR CIRCLE FOR AN UNKNOWN REASON. YOU STANDS OUT. ATTACKED BUT NEVER DESTROYED.

YOU ALWAYS FIND YOURSELF BY YOURSELF. PEOPLE ARE TALKING SAYING NEGATIVE THINGS ABOUT YOU ALL OF THE TIME NEARLY ALL OF YOUR LIFE. BUT, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND WHO'S YOU ARE. STAND TALL. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. KEEPING THE FAITH ALWAYS.

FROM EXPERIENCE.

Tree Ring Circus

Donald Trump was as stumped as a man can be
"How could LeBron James be anything like me?"
A wise old owl
Commenced to howl
"Quite different branches grow on the same tree!"
