The Feeling Inside

Egos feed off the things you achieve
Not bettering people as some do believe 
It's a diet of what you can do and can be 
Never bias comparison of ability 

If you don't feed it you'll find jealousy 
Bitterness reigns and feeds on envy 
Literal pain breeds dominantly 
Accomplishments prevent it being empty 

If you don't get better or you don't learn more 
you'll be upset and you'll be left sore 
When you get up and go you'll feel the reward 
The feeling inside the ego longs for 

Your ego lives inside where it's always been 
It finds food inside not from what you have seen 
It feeds off of feelings not visual scenes 
Don't live an illusion when you can chase dreams

Truth

Everyone wants to be admired,
To write the poem that inspires.
A piece of oneself to change the world,
Bettering the next generation of boys and girls.

But what is it that I can say,
That will change the course of your day?
That you would help one and another,
And change your enemy to be your brother?

It's not that we can't face the truth,
It's just that we just go along.

Blinded by horizons

Hey, we're going to the station

The Man of Men

We all want to be the man of men
setting trends like Eminem
be independant like a pendulum 
and depended on to pen beyond 
with wisdom for friend and young.

bettering everyone as we're second to none
defend competition titles we've won
in complete repetition we stay at the front
handling hurdles and troubles 
whilst applauded and humble,
but we tumble, we fall, lose sight of it all,
see distractions and bad reactions then grumble,
back to seek satisfaction when found we want more
perhaps leads us back to miserable, I'm not sure.

We find meaning through metaphors 
dream of immense reward
wish many miracles 
whilst tending our given cause.

Life is all these things, the dreams and real scenes,
and we're living it,
now imagine your life if you were never given it.

Empty.

I'll state, men stand equal to women,

because those that are not, aren't living,

Bettering Myself

I used to be silent,
walking this earth with no voice,
unable to speak for myself....
to myself....
I felt useless....
I felt like I was the one,
who couldn't do anything right.

I was the one who refused to fight,
I used to try with all my might,
to keep things at peace....
to be your strength,
your joy,
your smile....
I thrived on your love and touch....

I spent nights silently weeping,
because i loved you so much,
but you betrayed me in the worst way....
and you didn't have the guts to say....
you were sorry for it all,
you just did your thing,
and watch everything burn....

Well now it's your turn.

I used to walk in your shadow,
being the best thing to happen to you,
or so, you said....
but now, it's time for you to watch me rise....
rise from the ashes of your dreams,
rise from the depths of nothingness,
rise up to become a better person.

Watch as I fly right past you,
as I take my life back,
as I regain my family,
as I get back my friends,
watch as I right every wrong....
