I wonder from all the seasons,
which one is me?

How do nature's elements
define my identity?

When clouds reflect judgement,
it does not matter what they think,
I do not reflect what they see.

I've seen petals blossom through concrete,
felt the turbulent tears of Everest's crumbling peaks

and I know

I'm no master of destiny, but I believe in fate.

As butterflies depart in the season of diversity,
I see green crumble from crimson to brown -
still they dance in the wind.

As the earth beneath me hardens

within the
secret garden of my mind,
weeds die, like frozen spirits.
I allow erratic winds to whistle,
as my soul sleeps silently,
unaware of the snowstorm

cold does not define me.

April showers soften sleeping meadows,
the fireball in the sky, hints upon his return.
I ponder how nature's palette will paint
her poetry upon this season's empty canvas

we all fall, but we keep the faith for re-growth.

The soul rejoices upon sight of the Gemini moon,
blooming through the constellation of twins,
adrift in tranquil warm air, under serene blue skies.

Surrounded by an abundance of kaleidoscopic petals,
their delicate fragrance, becomes my poetry,
an expression of character and personality

I ponder, maybe this is me.

Stop being so downcast!
Stop feeling so blue!
And please, stop caring about how many here like you!
On this planet we have but a short time here.
Don't you understand this basic truth?
There is nothing to fear!

Don't come here to be a comment collector.
Reply to comments for heaven's sake!
Please don't be just a selfish taker!
Someone took time to not only read but comment!
You let them sit ice cold, so arrogantly bold.

Some will like you, some will not.
So, laugh, get a tall, cool glass of apricot nectar,
And let the arrogant rot!
If you ever get insulted, get a screenshot!

Big whoop if poets go in another direction!
Ta-ta, au-Revoir~you don't need to be, by them, to be
detected!
The arrogant here think they are by the very God selected?
They by pass your poetry as if it were garbage, freshly collected?

You can see it in their "perfect poetry"
Always a race to be at the top of the poetry tree.
Rarely, will they comment to thee.
You must first comment to them on humble, bended knee?
Looking in mirrors, it's only themselves they see!

Just, please pen some words from your very special heart!
Not Shakespearian wannabes, such pretentious smarts!
There are marvelous poets here, genuine people
I praise them from the highest steeple!

Put on the page, whatever you feel,.above all else, be
unflinchingly real.
And when you go to bed each night, oh my.
How happy and accomplished you will be!
That you are a genuine poet not a poet-groupie!

Premium Member Believe In Yourself

If only for today...
Would you believe?
Not in a deity
Not in someone else
Not in some grand idea
But in yourself
We put faith in what is around us
But little of it finds a home
Within the depths of our soul
But there is one reality
Nothing is realer than you
Nobody ever knows you like you
Your deepest thoughts
Your greatest fears
What you see in the mirror
All uniquely personal
Language is imperfect
And something is lost when spoken
Be good to yourself
Be honest with yourself
Be the one you see in the mirror
Painted beautifully
With all your hopes and dreams
And no
You won't be some grand idea
You won't be someone else
You won't be some deity
For one day...
Would you believe...
In yourself?

Premium Member Take Pride In Yourself

It's easier to focus on what's gone wrong,
Than it is to see what's gone right.
But in every life there's accomplishments,
Like wisdom, gained goals and touched lives.

Celebrate all the things that you've done,
And all the things you plan to do.
Remember that from an acorn seed,
The mighty Oak tree grew.

Celebrate all that you have become,
And all that someday you'll be.
The future can hold something wonderful,
If you just have the courage to see.

Every dream has the power,
To make something great unfold.
All you need is a little faith,
To have courage and help you be bold.

Believe in yourself and the things you can do.
Believe in your talent and skill.
Believe in what God has given to you.
Believe that you can and you will.

Premium Member Get Yourself a Big Black Cat To Cancel Out Bad Luck

If there should be a pot hole as deep as Satan’s pit
appearing as I’m driving, I’d run right over it!

My husband’s luck is worse than mine, but we’re a package deal.
So every bad thing that befalls him, I can also feel!

One day I lost my best cat ever; needing a new pet,
I looked and looked to find a cat, the best that I could get.

One person getting desperate with no new owner found
was feeling sad he’d have to take his poor cat to the pound.

His cat , though not a lap cat, was pretty, sleek and black.
The guy was leaving town; there’d be no way to give her back!

I like to look to numbers for the logic that they show.
Two negatives makes positive; that’s one true fact I know!

So if a person has bad luck, it stands to reason that
perhaps his bad luck could reverse by having a black cat!!

I got that cat! She loudly purrs, which I find comforting
It’s like my mom is right nearby with lullabies to sing.

The cat’s my charm when in my arms; my luck has turned around,
for she’s become the second best of cats I ever found!

So if with many problems you’re always getting stuck,
just get yourself a big black cat to cancel out bad luck!

Premium Member Treat Yourself

I invite you to go wild,
laugh till your sides nearly burst.
And act as you did a child,
letting raindrops quench your thirst.

Start a fire with scraps of wood,
or sculpt castles made of sand.
And pick berries that taste good,
or stroll through a meadowland.

Go splash in the creek barefoot
or chase frogs that swim away.
And track monsters like Bigfoot,
while you enjoy this play day.

Giggle at the dog's kisses,
or run, like, you'll never stop.
Poke a snake till it hisses,
or climb a tree to its top.

Gaze at the clouds sailing by,
as they slowly drift away.
And treat yourself to a pie,
while having a fun-filled day.

Premium Member Set Yourself Free

Go now, rest your weary heart.
Against the soft moonlit night.

Walk into the valley of peace and tranquility.
Loosen those chains that bind your soul.

Let them fall to the ground, never look back.
Let the veil of time lift you up.

As the last breath of life seeps from your lips.
Float out of this world and into the light.

Through the veil of time, go now, no time to wait.
For now, you are free, free to be who you really are.

Imagine you flying against the golden sun.
Fly with the spirits who light the nights.

Go now to the world beyond time.
Worn out with lost dreams, are you?

Go now and let them come true.
Set yourself free from these bones.

Premium Member Please Love Yourself, Mommy

Please love yourself,
My daughter wrote
As we chatted away
About my upcoming trip
And yet my tears spilled over
As I bared my heart
To my 19 year old daughter
The joy of my life
The light of my eyes
The reason…..
The reason I go on with life
It’s for her
I try to survive
And push on
For she still needs me

And she wrote…..
You need to appreciate yourself more mami
I can't imagine my life without you
Just thinking about my life without you in it
just makes me wanna break down
Please mama for me
Please love yourself
I dunno why it's so hard for you to see how incredible you are

She knew all my reasons
And yet she asked
Desperate to pull me out
To help me see the light
To remind me of who I was
Who I still am
And I soothed and comforted her
Knowing she’d worry
Her daddy away
And her Mama all alone
Locked in her room
Crying the night away
Yet she was the strong one
Mothering me
Giving me
A shoulder to cry on

And after all the tears those words of hers brought
I thanked her for loving me…..
And she wrote
I can't help it. You're amazing. You just need to give yourself a chance
Come here mami we'll have so much fun

And I smiled through my tears
Grateful for the blessing I have in her
And my heart decided
Once more
Once more
For a little while longer
To fight the good fight
To survive
To let the vivacious Mommy she knew
Come to life
The one all her friends loved
And said was “so cool”
That Mommy
That woman
I'd ask her to go on
And to try...
To try...
To love herself...

...For the love of a daughter

whenever you fall down, you'll rise back up.
no matter how i n f i n i t e s i m a l,

you move towering mountains like faith,
and you run from pillar to post
                     to ensure that everything
                         and everyone is fine,

Premium Member Forgive Yourself

The future holds no premium
For a person brawling with their past.
There are no birds in last year's nest.
There are no rememberings to unmask.

Memories are the fruits of our existence
Where some bloom and some may die
When exposed to an aura of understanding
Life's lessons shall provide.

'Tis Human to learn from our mistakes...
Making bold of life's infections
Slathering a healthy dapple of forgiveness
As we sinners surmise a new direction.

We should freely right past wrongs...
Banishing past transgressions to the night
As the journey may task our very soul...
So it's best to travel light.

I no longer fear a backward glance
Or the breeze of yesteryear.
I have made my bed and here I lie
With a spirit crystallized and clear.

I ignore the minions who dredge my past...
Casting forth their hellish stones...
As I eagerly embrace one of God's greatest gifts...
Which is a future yet unknown.

Believe In Yourself

Every living thing.. Every breathing one..
Changes in life even for once…Some for good and some for bad..
Some where someone will always change..
Are you feeling betrayed and neglected... Did the one you dearly loved changed..?
Are you feeling all down and lonely…?When you knew the love for you has changed…?
Look at the past in your own life…Haven’t you done the same.. Haven’t you changed..?
Didn’t you break that dear heart…didn’t you walk away..?
So if you are feeling broken and ignored..
Just remember it’s all coming back to you once again..
I know breaking ups are hard…its painful.. Feeling like wiping your own heart..
Stabbing your own self.. as if you are taking the very last breath…
That’s the pain of breaking up… May be more I can’t explain..
But Its not the end of the road.. its not the end of life…
Everything good or bad.. Happens for the best in life…
When one doesn’t need you someone will treasure you…
When one is walking away.. One will welcome you…
You just have to believe in yourself…About you.. In you..
You too have a life.. a one who deserve to be happy…
With or without the loved one.. You got to keep moving on…
If the person you love so dearly.. Is meant to be yours forever..
It will happen.. No matter what it will always happen..
Until then.. Be strong and be well.. Gather experience in every way..
One day you can turn back and say.. I made it through anyway!

Premium Member Don't think too highly of yourself

Don't think too highly of yourself,
for you are a mere reflection
of God's magnificence,
nothing more and nothing less.
It is by His Amazing Grace
that you have achieved such
a level of success.
He created for you opportunity.
He gave you the talents
you possess.
He gave you direction.
So...

Don't think too highly of yourself,
because He gave you the wisdom
to make wise decisions.
He gave you determination.
He gave you all those great
qualities you have,
and now it's your time to shine
So ..

Don't think too highly of yourself,
Instead,
be humble and appreciative of all
the good things He has done for you,
praise Him and always remember
never to forget what He did for you.
