A New Day, a New World, a New Tomorrow

A new day, a new world, a new tomorrow

Shades of painted corners
face these inward fears
Now drenched in today’s worries,
as flat as the cornerstone of suffering
caught within boundaries along wasting moments,
crying blanket feelings,
pounding on the walls of despair

“leaving fist prints like so many discarded roses”

Calling out to the endless deafness
“Time it does not heal,
scars merely cut deeper”,
in echoes among the tapered distance
Fog engulfs the melody, slowly chasing
after poetic symphonies
playing from a southern direction

“vertical compass points from there to here”

Your weary hand trembles
violently as it reaches, pleads
where a monochrome sun sets,
beyond the chosen horizon
in heart shaped vistas and sweet tea landscapes
Trust grows in amber glowing beacons
waving banners of solitude

“free flowing fabric beckoning in longed for motions”

You force the stoic front door open,
creaking hinges scream, fears cup beneath your chest
Breathing in the stench of the past
but lured by the fragrance of the future
Where sorrow drowns in cascade pools,
pain hides where it can not be found
and he waits to lift you beyond the darkness

“and you find you have wings, safely within his opened arms”

Now floating towards a white picket gate,
swinging freely beneath the arbor,
once a collection of lattice work shadows, dark lines
on a desolate earth, now a tapestry
of blooms, woven among long dreamt dreams and
clover leaf wishes revealing a pathway
to the beginning of

“a new day, a new world, a new tomorrow”

Premium Member I Want To Leave This World a Better Place

I want to leave the world a better place
Without being so pretentious as to
Imagine I can leave some astounding legacy
But I do want to leave a little something
I do want to have touched a few hearts
Connected down here with a few souls
Sparked a few children’s aspirations
I do want to leave at least
My ripple into this sea that is life

We Made This World a Mess

Am I dreaming Is it real
I don't know how I should feel
Wake me up from this nightmare
Shake me make me more aware
Of the way this worlds become
It's not happy we've undone
All the neighbor friendliness
Time has put an end to this
Now its anger violence hate
Wouldn't it be really great
Coming together once again
Heart to heart we can begin
To undo this nastiness
Leading to more happiness

Make the World a Better Place

There is enough strife and despair all around
The wounds of discord are open and bleeding
The turmoil is rumbling to burst any moment
The time is ripe for all of us to build bridges,
Mend fences, and make the world, a better place.

Forget the unpleasant past and bury the hatred
Without wasting the precious present reminiscing
Enlarge the heart to accommodate one and all
To live and let live be our never-ending hum
The time is ripe for all of us to build bridges,
Mend fences, and make the world, a better place.

At no time opt for an eye for eye attitude harsh
Instead cultivate fondness for things and beings
Offer the other cheek without any confrontation
And conquer hearts by strengthening the bonds
The time is ripe for all of us to build bridges,
Mend fences, and make the world, a better place.

The life is short and no one knows when the
Final call comes, without any notice sudden
Leaving no chance to express one’s regrets
And to repent or to compensate the wrong
The time is ripe for all of us to build bridges,
Mend fences, and make the world, a better place.

Let us act, act in the living present; earnestly
Concede no moment to escape; insensitively
Seize every opportunity that comes our way
To make way for a harmonious living lovely
The time is ripe for all of us to build bridges,
Mend fences, and make the world, a better place.

Their Own World - a Poem About Autism

The people blessed with Autism
Are unique in their own way,
For they live in their own world
Each and every single day.

The cause remains a mystery
No two people are the same,
For they live in their own world
There’s no one that you can blame.

They are special and quite complex
Yet their hearts are made of gold,
For they live in their own world
Most do only what they’re told.

It effects each one so different
Many are smart and work alone,
For they live in their own world
Feel safest when they’re home.

Many of them can learn when taught
But only at their own pace,
For they live in their own world
Patience is what it takes.

Their uniqueness is a blessing
Take each day that you can get,
For they live in their own world
You will know when you have met.

Experts say they must have sameness
I found this not to be true,
For they live in their own world
They’ve feelings like me and you.

One day at a time is a must
Give them a chance just to grow,
For they live in their own world
Their talents begin to show.

They all have their own little niche
Some can paint do math and more,
For they live in their own world
Have faith and don’t shut the door.

Some people are just ignorant
Consider them strange a tad,
For they live in their own world
Which really isn’t that bad.

So if you can ever enter
Into their hearts you must go,
For they live in their own world
Which is difficult to show.

Premium Member Tell the Whole World a Great Story

If you could tell the whole world a great story
What would that great story be?
Would the words you write
Shine so bright
That all of the world could see?

If you could tell the whole world a great story
Would it be pleasing for the mind to read?
Or would you sharpen your words
With thoughts never heard
To plant a fresh growing seed?

If I...could tell the whole world a great story
It would cause all minds to be set free
Allow them to look through different eyes
With no hidden disguise
At what the world has now become to me

An Equal Part of This World- a Protest To Fgm

I am not the lesser sex
My sex may represent me
But what I am and who I am
Is held in my woman soul

You can see it in my eyes
If only you care to look
And my spirit lives there always
Even if you take away my pride

Destroy my body on the outside
Cut away at my softest parts
Brutalize my curves
Which are meant to be held and loved

You will ruin what we could have
And what endless joys we could share
You could know the whole of me
If only you would dare

What is there to fear in me?
For power lives in us all
I will not take yours away from you
But love you for your soul

Together we could grow and share
A world that listens to us both
Our threads forever will be entwined
Cherished and valued all

Not matter from what side we are
Our web will meet in the middle
The eye it forms there a wisdom
Our shared view of the earth

So I am not the lesser sex
But worthy of our world
I shall always have a woman soul
Cherish it for what it holds

Let's Make Our World a Better Place

Let's drop our guns,
and share soda cans.

Let's end terrorism
with stopping religious criticism.

Let's write stories
that embrace minorities.

Let's read books
that drop negative racial looks.

Let's stop poaching,
by doing soul-searching.

Let's protect our environment,
even without the government.

Let’s recycle our ammunitions,
and sell them to start charitable foundations.

Let’s stop our grudges,
and build our bridges…..

Let’s stop being even,
and make this world a Heaven!

Help me to make all this happen,
beginning with paper and pen…..

My World, a Stage

my world, a stage
All around me mere players
my father, hits to prove a disciplinarian
my mother, hits to prove her righteousness
my wife, hits her way to take sympathy
my Son, shows sandals to my face
my daughter, stays away by crisis
my colleagues, fond of branding me ignorant
the Society, exploits me to see their kids thrive
my mind damaged beyond recognition...
For I started believing the words of Shakespeare,
"All the World’s a stage",
Still my duties, my responsibilities I never fail,
My objective,” being true before GOD”
My skills I love, my career my wife,
My world is narrowing..
As long as my career is there,
I live enhancing it, I love doing that...
I could see myself improve in skills,
My love for myself gets a going…

Puppet World: a Message From Santa

Hello there?!
Hmm! Hmm! Hmm! Can you hear?
I guess my voice is fading
A result of living a few thousand centuries

I'll imagine you can
As far as you're Santa's fan
Now he sent to say
That he's doing well
Oh! Do you even heard he was sick the other day?
Aww! Its a result of the jingling bells
The lovely immortal rang his ears away
Now you ask what he does while on holiday?
He spends days and nights wrapping gifts in every possible different ways
To all "CLAUSTROPHOBICS", Santa's promised to shave his beard
And to all " CLAUSELESS REBELS", Santa's accept to come next time with a certificate of birth
Little kiddie! If you want a bigger gift next year, please come not last but first
First come then first serve, first serve is bigger serve! And he's sorry for croaky jest
And yes! Santa saw a man with more beard than his, warning! Go shave!
For those who complained of seeing no gift, please do come outta ya cave
And to those who discovered that Santa Claus is there uncle, oh! Sorry, no wrong faces next time
Before I forget, he said Santa's clause is going to come next time in white and black that rhyme!

Bye there!
Oh who am I seeing?
Sleeping willow?! Oh dear
Is he awake or still sleeping?

Lemme go check!

CLAUSTROPHOBIC : one who's afraid of Santa
CLAUSELESS REBELS = A REBEL WITHOUT A CLAUSE : meaning a kid who doesn't believe in Santa
SANTA'S CLAUSE = incomplete Christmas sentences

The World a Joke.

This world of ares is a joke
many people living with broken dreams and no hope
I'm one and the same with them
from the slums I come from
I have to provide by any means
To try to fulfill me and my families dreams
but the world is a fake
with many gates
filled with much hate
my fate
will be of a man riding out for his
i'm living to die
while most are dieing to live
I got 2 kids
who going to provide but self
and since this world is a joke
I'ma rape the whore until she's broke

All the World a Stage

What is happiness but a beautiful act?
on a tightrope strode alone feigning bravery
flaunting its audience gifted talents lack?
while time proceeds its merciless journey
it’s senselessness never peering back?
like in dreams lucidness its arts beauty
confines self heedlessly to thoughts forgotten
whisked away in days languor like perfumes sweet lilac
once a memory mirrored of youths reachy lusts
but if not time whose candor trust, its essence humbles the stage
the soul bares wounds exchanged for loves bribery
rested in Promethean's casket his undying name
until earth’s fate ignites its survival aflame…

Premium Member A Buggy World, a 'Buggy' Life

Possession's nine-tenths of "the law,"
Is what some pundits say
Implying "weak" own nothing real
And brute "strength" wins the day.

But if one looks at "biomass,"
It's insects that have won,
For ALL Earth's mammals are outweighed!
My, logic can be fun!

And insect's also might survive
Our next atomic war,
Intelligence, a passing phase,
Man, "ugly" carnivore.

Is "buggiest" the human race,
"God's image" just a joke?
(Or does God foul His own nest too?)
Depends on what you smoke!

Premium Member Bright World: a Bird's-Eye View

A swallow with black iridescent wings
am I! My wings in sunlight shimmer blue.
I snuggle in my nest while mother sings
and wakes the world.; it’s all so bright and new.

I peek out from my nest. Below I see
a host of roses - yellow, red and pink.
They beam with beauty as they call to me,
“Come out and see the sun about to sink
behind bronzed mountains’ snow-white peaks. Its hue
will be rose-violet! Soar from your nest
above green lawns to white-foam clouds and view
from azure skies. . . Earth’s colors at their best!”

Farewell to merely peeking at this world.
I’m flying with my shiny wings unfurled!

The World - a Boat and Moon

The world - a boat and moon
in the bosom of the rains.
Left the hand of God
the soul - a silent flower -
thirst after
soil and light,
air and caress.
It prays to Madonna and Child
like Raphael prays, like Judas
after resurrection.
And like a luster of a coin, through
the Door solely the soul
will pass over - pure -
after the denial of the thought
from itself.

In the bosom of the rains
I pray like a candle.
