I've been walking down this road alone
Searching for a way to get back home
but each brick releases pensive memories
until they've blurred in a shade of monochrome

Maybe I was a coward for deciding to leave
Trepidation became fear so I walked away
but some say it took the courage of a lion
to leave him standing in the door that day

If I'd been bastioned in an armored suit of tin
my tears would have encrusted me in rust
To a heart that can't stop crying over lost love
it's too daunting a task to believe again in trust

How foolish I was, to rely upon a naive heart
for allowing me to drown in a deluge of rain
There's no hiding beneath a haystack of straw
It was inane to let my heart overrule my brain

No wizard's words spoken from behind a curtain
will guide me since love came disguised as a thief
No magic wand waved will help me find my way
Only time has the power to allay such grief

The New Wizards

NEW WIZARDS

In legend, gods and wizards roamed the earth
A theatre drawn by magic spell creation
No one dominant in what was real - a dearth
Of fixed scene; each chose their own world contemplation
Drama wild where players contested illusion
Sought to overwhelm in a glorious confusion

There evolved a more civil scene though with its flaws
On a stage then firm, for each one who would act
Cosmos framed: the same to all as ruled by laws
The reality - consensus view - agreed contract
Could that be a golden age - freedom framed by rules
Those who broke them deemed non participants or fools

Now new Wizards come on scene in spangled coats
PR Experts, the Press, Politicians paint new scenes
That set us all at odds and each other’s throats
With smears, distorting mirrors and cunning memes
Have we now returned to a former legendary vision
Where illusion out-weighs reason in our decision

New Wizards

Now new Wizards come on scene in spangled coats

PR Experts, Press, Politicians paint new scenes

That set us all at odds, each other’s throats

With smears, distorting mirrors, cunning memes

Premium Member Wizards Don'T Deny the Lord

To dwell on the season
I feel I must take pause
with a muffled cry of reason,
slipping into loud applause

As I awake from the darkness,
and edge slowly toward the floor
Slipping on that old red dress,
that I draped upon the door

I see a sparkle on my pillow
like foil string sewn into the cloth
as the blossoms of ***** willow
I am drawn to it like a goth

A wish of blessings for all children
and that Gods joy finds one and all
To expose the innocents of children
We are Gods creatures, it's in us all

I think my miracle for this Christmas
may have been granted by our lord
cells are replicating, and with his kiss
her white blood count is restored

Premium Member Wizards of Fire and Ice

Once upon a time, many years ahead,
In a land close by, on an earth nearly dead,
Humans had evolved - using much more of their brains,
They could command ice and fire,
Where good and evil reign.

But this power they developed
Did much more evil than it did good,
And wiped out most the humans,
Leaving wizards where they stood.

The battle continued to see who might rule;
Mind-balls of fire and ice
Were the only weapons they would use.

Fire beats ice,
But ice is more plentiful -
To create balls of fire
Much more brain power must you use.

The young wizard Glaffin, in robes of brown and green,
Fought for the good side, ruled by a Wizard Queen.

Ice was thrown at him by the evil palace guards,
Protecting King Faustus the most evilest of them all;
But Glaffin summoned up fire faster than any wizard before,
The goodness inside enabled him to produce it much more.

Could good conquer evil?
Could Glaffin win this fight?
Could wizards live in peace?
Could the Earth come back to life?
Could fire and ice be used for good?
Could our brains be free of hate?
The end of the story, I do not know -
I guess we’ll have to wait.

But which side are you fighting for?
Which side do you hope wins?
Perhaps if you choose right now you can influence how it ends.

Inside us is ice and inside us is fire,
To create them in balls outside takes a powerful desire.
We have not developed that ability yet but in our future we will,
As the wizard part of our brains,
Right now is sleeping still.

Premium Member Wizards Bats Crotch-Sniffers and Me

When I met my forever man
I warned him I have a few idiosyncrasies.
He looked into my pair of 42 C’s and said
He was okay with them

There are two wizards battling inside
My coffee table, I told him, and there is
A nest of bats living in my coffee pot.
He laughed.

So I went on. There are some
Crotch sniffers living in the bowels of
My chimney and they bite sometimes.
In that chimney? He asked, pointing.
I nodded yes.

And so it went. And we were a twosome,
And things were great like all the other times.
Until he realized it was the truth, and my home
Was magical, and I was more that a pair of 42C’s.

The coffee table could not stay put. Every night it
Would be rolling in the hall, and there would be
Slashing and gnashing sounds. It is startling to try
And sleep over two wizards who are beating each
Other’s brains out with swords.

One of the bat’s bit his lip as he was drinking a cup of
Coffee that first morning. I did not think he would mind
The crotch sniffers, as none of my other boyfriends had,
But unfortunately, he had a unique scent and a crotch sniffer
Bit him hard, there….so that was the end of boyfriend number
Six hundred and thirty three. I guess it’s just the wizards, bats,
Crotch-sniffers and me now. I am tired of hunting.

The great and most powerful wizard of all wizards is a badger actually.
This was whispered to me by the wind blowing through a hollow tree.
Where do I find this wizard of a wizard? I asked, through animal telepathy.
The answer was immediately mind communicated deep with my psyche.

The badger wore no crown, but his position of power was immediately clear.
Animals that surrounded him were fox, mouse, squirrel and mule deer.
He said, “yumbo humbo kumbo, human animal, please come over here.”
I turned tail and I ran, for his power was something of which I had great fear.

Nature

Nature

You’re the puzzle that baffles the wisest of men
You’re the mystery that guards the sacred scroll
You’re the beauty that inspires wizards and bards
You’re the bait that lure enlightened souls
You’re the guardian of the secretes —known and unknown
You’re the past, the present, the future and beyond…

Dragons and Wizards

Dragons of ancient times
their masters are Wizards…

Sometimes I wish, to go
back and live in those
times as a damsel…

To have you rescue me,
from one of those dragons…

Riding off in the sunset, with
you and live happily ever after,
with you by my side…

When the Best Is Not Available

The house shelters me with a thatch:
A building with a terrible patch
But with a good door I could latch
Against foes who troubles hatch
And powers only Jesus can match:
The wizards not letting go their first Batch
Seeking to every Living Soul catch
And me specifically snatch…

You see, when the best is not available
I let the Available remain usable.

Premium Member The Wizards Chart

I dreamt a wizard gave me a chart
So, I could find my way back home
I read it twice and learned it by heart
So, when I awoke, I could start to roam

By midday the hillcrests are within reach
At nightfall I descend the hills
My house must be set down on the beach
I keep forging on with a will

Dark clouds gather in an ominous dome
Seagulls squawk their ancient call
Where is the house I thought was home?
It had never existed at all!

I dreamt a wizard gave me a chart
So, I could find my way back home

night to day created and behold the midnight sun
venerable wizards spinning spells the fairy's spells outdone
the tranquillity of forest life shattered and the fairies overrun
and then the sylvan lords descend firing spells from Tommy guns

Premium Member Fantasy Poetry - The Wizards Party

Party invitations popped up in everyone’s hand.
The Wizard invited everyone special in the land.
With magic galore, it was destined to be grand.
He made sure good fairies and elves were banned.

To respond they were invited to RSVP The Wizard.
On the menu would be yummy fricassee of gizzard.
And a huge bowl of sautéed toad eyes with lizard.
The host planned it was held on a night of a blizzard.

All in readiness as the guests were arriving first.
Were offered blood cocktails to quench their thirst.
Little did they know the drinks were cursed.
Sit tight you haven’t as yet even heard the worst.

For entertainment a banshee wailed a blood curdling song.
Dracula danced with Medusa to slow songs all night long.
When he tried to bite her neck, her snakes came on strong.
Witches and goblins, ghosts and ghouls all shared a bong.

Pinning the tail on the donkey beware as the donkey kicks.
Not bobbing for apples in a barrel, these were live chicks.
There were ghastly horror movies playing, Taylor Swift flicks.
All had nightmares after the party the Wizard was up to his tricks.

Premium Member Wizards and Warriors

Warriors of the ancient world
Unsheathe your swords of fire
To battle death and Dragons breath
Mercenaries for hire

In darkened hallways danger looms
A Sorcerer weaving spells
Magic cast from shadows past
As scripture once foretells

Caught amid the Wizard's web
Just pawns to take the fall
A futile plight but still they fight
With backs against the wall

Stoically they hold their ground
Behind bloody sword and shields
No kingdom stands with crimson hands
The moment courage yields

With Angels on their shoulders
The Wizard's spell was broken
Kneel and pray men win the day
Victory now awoken

No witnesses to celebrate
The mountains so many climb
History bleeds with valiant deeds
Now lost in sands of time

The Wizards Way

He speaks of the soul that must,
laid aside all emotions and its dust.
That balance which cannot be shaken,
by misfortunes and its taken.
Before one can see the world of magic,
realizing its virtues ecstatic.
For that within to become an outer gateway,
the peace in itself as determined pave way.
Windows of the soul and solution door,
threshold that provides always more.
The borrowed nature of sublimity,
caught in loving caring spirituality.
The heart hears it and the soul dances,
strength in humility advances.
The exaltation of human soul is divine,
a time and space at hand design.
The wizard climbs through space,
and accomplishes in time at place.
The ever moving life as nature,
providence glorious moments labor.
