An abundance of fragrant florets
constant reminder of regrets
Although they consume the misty air
they seem stale, because you're not there
Your absence has left a hollow void
Ghosts haunt turning the mind paranoid.

Just another day without you
Oh my love if only you knew
How the guitar still strums your song
One more day alone seems so wrong

The hands of time are no friends of mine
Growing old, should have been our shrine
In your world full of confusion
Life can be full of delusion
My love for you still remains supreme
Our reunion is my last dream

Just another day without you
Oh my love if only you knew
how the guitar still strums your song
One more day alone seems so wrong

The heart craves to hear your sweet voice
but your departure has left no choice
Now only silence is what I hear
Life has no sound without you near.
Only the room vibrating with cries
Won't you save me from this demise
Come before this dancer's heart dies
Bless me with one last sight of your eyes

Just another day without you
Oh my love if only you knew
how the guitar still strums your song
One more day alone seems so wrong

Still that guy who made your heart go 'wow'
Don't say its that final curtain bow
Senorita don't forget our vow
My beloved come back to me now

Just another day without you
Oh my love if only you knew
how the guitar still strums your song
One more day alone seems so wrong

The poem must begin with .. And the cemetery was then continue with your poem

And the cemetery was shrouded in a veil of early morning mist
which rose eerily from the grey granite and marble graves.
Desperately searching I crept silently from gravestone to gravestone.
My breath came out in tiny white clouds
as soft white snowflakes performed pirouettes,
falling like a downy blanket over the cold marble.

Eventually I came across your final resting place
I recognised the two golden cherubs, carved on either side of your headstone
Gently I brushed away the snow and traced your names with my fingertip
It had only been a few weeks since you had fallen asleep forever
How I longed to hold you and sing you both a lullaby
But it was too late and you lay together in the arms of Jesus
I placed two red roses on the snowy pillow
Then lay down and waited for the sleeping pills to take effect
So we could be reunited in death

A World Without You

The hands of June will soon scoop up this earth.
Her palms will gently cup sunlight and rain.
The wind, her fertile breath, will warm the eves,
yet here I’ll wake to feel her blush in vain.

Without my love, each star-filled night turns black.
At dawn, the sunlight breaks to blind my path.
My ashen heart will char as summer flames,
and flowing blood will parch in aftermath.

I ‘ve often heard of death by broken heart.
It seems that winter’s chill could hasten this,
but this oppressive heat has fueled my pain.
A frozen heart turned numb might feel like bliss.

The summer sun has slouched, the moon has gone,
but somehow through my grief, I carry on.

In her absence, her reflection is my poetry.
Quill could ink a million verses about her perfection.
Her heart's a gem not found in any rare jewellery.

Legacy of my ink will embed her history.
Musings without metaphors to show my affection.
In her absence, her reflection is my poetry.

Her poetic garden blossoms in deep mystery.
Diamonds, rubies and pearls lay on her path's direction,
Her heart's a gem not found in any rare jewellery.

Sweet scarlet lips form like a succulent strawberry,
dipped upon her chocolate satin bronze complexion.
In her absence, her reflection is my poetry.

Her sweet scent enchants like celestial perfumery,
shines brighter than a crystal starlight constellation.
Her heart's a gem not found in any rare jewellery.

Rainbow blessings highlight her masterpiece artistry,
sunshine after the rain warming our heart's connection.
In her absence, her reflection is my poetry.
Her heart's a gem not found in any rare jewellery.

Without You

I can barely go a day
Without talking to you

I can barely go a minute
Without thinking about you

I can barely sleep
Without dreaming about you

I can barely talk
Without saying your name

I can barely live
Without you babe. . . .

Premium Member It Won'T Be Fun Without You

You have to come, one said.
It wouldn’t be fun without you, the second one added.
Yes, yes, please come, the third one pleaded.
I had been to their book club once, a few years back.

They were right.
It wouldn’t be fun without me,
But it wouldn’t be fun with me either.
I had been tricked before.

Premium Member I'M Lost Without You

Six months have passed since you walked out on me
Wearily I climb the stairs and try to sleep
My tears freely flow and my lilac pillow is soaked
I have to swap it with the one where your head used to lay
I’m lost without you

I shut my eyes tightly but all I can see is your face
Now I truly know what heartbreak is
The pain is like nothing I have ever known
Like glass shards piercing my heart
I’m lost without you

My life is empty without you by my side
No one to share my fears and wipe away my tears
No one to curl up with and share my love
I want it all to end
I’m lost without you

Feel like I can’t go on
I take comfort in the bottle
Have lost my job, lost my dignity
I have lost everything I once held so dear
I’m lost without you

Friends say it will get better
I will pick up and move on
But when you find ‘the one’
Why settle for anyone else
I’m lost without you

I can’t go on drowning in a river of tears
For me there is no tomorrow
I have no wish to carry on
So this is goodbye
Without you – I’m lost

Waking Up Without You

The sun sneaked through the curtain,
And lightened up the place,
Where you'd normally lay your head.

And as I lay alone, beside you,
I can almost feel your breath,
Upon the back of my neck.

I drag myself into the day,
And for a second I see you in the mirror,
Sitting on the edge of our bed.

As I walk into the bathroom,
I hear you call me from the bedroom,
But when I look, you are not there.

I laugh at myself,
In the kitchen,
As I put back a second plate.

I feel the warmth of your arm wrapped around me,
As tears full of my love for you,
Fall from my face.

Dont Wanna Live Without You

When things are going wrong
And your screaming in my ear
Telling me its over
Im begging you please take me back
Thats all i need
Thats all I really ever wanted
Please take me back
Dont turn me away
Dont put me through this unbearable pain
Cause it tears out my heart and puts it to shame
Turning me into ome kind of lonley monster
I dont wanna live with out you
Id rather die at your side
Its to unbearable to let you go
TO feel this pain
To go on living in this world full of rain
So please take me back
Dont turn me away
This pain is to unbearable to live with
It tears out my heart and puts it to shame
Turning me into a monster

Premium Member My First Christmas Without You

A snowy blanket lies on the ground
as I visit your grave on Christmas Day,
it’s my very first Christmas without you
cancer cruelly snatched your life away

We had so little precious time together,
as you lay dying you made me your wife;
when we whispered our vows we were crying
I promised to love you for the rest of your life

This year there won’t be any presents
I’ve not bothered with a Christmas tree,
I’m struggling to cope with depression
my life’s so unbearable now it’s just me

I'M Lost Without You

I can't help myself
how does it feel to know that I love you, Baby
I gave you my heart lovingly
I was not trying to buy your love
from past relationships I know that is impossible
I am just a generous person who appreciate you
you captivated me with your smile
it hurts so deeply that I will not be able to kiss your lips again
to know that I won't be able to make love to your mind
is a feeling that is not so kind
I LOVE YOU
I honestly love you for who are
I could not change for you over night
if I could I would do it with all my might
You mean so much to me, My Ivory Baby
your lips the color of a rose
your eyes are the color of ebony
your hands so pretty
you can be a hand model
I love your walk
the sound of your voice when you talk
I am going to miss you more tomorrow than I do today
I pray GOD will guide you in my life again
some day

that first breath after hearing Beethoven
inhaling life from him
John’s many gifts to me

feeling his tears at La Boheme
hearing him laugh at Carmen
sharing the shock of a trembling “Equus”* audience

Broadway, Times Square, Rockefeller Center
hours of sharing our innermost secrets
strolling through Central Park

John, you opened my eyes, my world
but failed to teach me one thing...
how to live “Without You”*

*"Equus" is a play by Peter Shaffer
*"Without You" by Nilsson was our song

My World Without You, My Poesy

When you are with no companion
and no one can read your very silence

When you are brimmed with joy
and you find no sign of warmth

When your solitude is lonely
and you cease to feel the wonder

When no single wave in the air
and you have a longing to breathe

When your heart denies its throbs
and your tone becomes still and cold

When none can hear the drops of your wounds
and you can't even swallow your sighs

When the night has no stars in his sky
and no dream dares showing a face

When no other alluring path to walk
and no thirst to reach satiating founts

When both, mind and heart share your pen
and no single paper in your den

How couldn't there be a life
that would save lives!

How can I envision my world
without you, my poesy!
