Villanelle
A villanelle is a type of poem that consists of nineteen lines with two refrains and two repeating rhymes. The poem is made up of a quatrain that is preceded by five tercets. The third and first lines of the first tercets are alternately repeated in the final lines of the subsequent stanzas; and in the last verse, the refrain works as the two closing lines of the poem.

Without You

In her absence, her reflection is my poetry.
Quill could ink a million verses about her perfection.
Her heart's a gem not found in any rare jewellery.

Legacy of my ink will embed her history.
Musings without metaphors to show my affection.

Her poetic garden blossoms in deep mystery.
Diamonds, rubies and pearls lay on her path's direction,

Sweet scarlet lips form like a succulent strawberry,
dipped upon her chocolate satin bronze complexion.
In her absence, her reflection is my poetry.

Her sweet scent enchants like celestial perfumery,
shines brighter than a crystal starlight constellation.
Her heart's a gem not found in any rare jewellery.

Rainbow blessings highlight her masterpiece artistry,
sunshine after the rain warming our heart's connection.

This entry is evident to that fact that is poetic with all poetic elements attached in its entirety starting with the title. Rhyme never forced, the execution of word choices lovely and the emotive factor is present throughout especially within your opening line. It was a privilege turning to your skilled page and entry. But mine arent so nice like your villanelles. I really love the flow of this and also how you’ve described this character. You really have a way with words dear silent one.
