life will continue

Whip-Poor-Wills

In the Appalachian hill country
there are night birds;
they call to each other in the dark
yet hunt alone.

These birds are not
owls but nightjars, they are known also
as whip-poor-wills, goatsuckers,
or bug-eaters by the locals.
When they utter they shiver
the ear-hairs of all that harken.

When clinging to a tree trunk
their dim mottled plumage
makes then almost invisible.
When they fly
they fly with no whisper of wings
but in an eerie silence.

Some folks around here
reckon they are more 'ghosts
of the air' than birds,
and are bad news.

The wise women
believe that they can curdle milk
and spoil the overnight vittles
left on the stove,
the menfolk smile
knowing
it was them that left the food out.

The night-birds swoop and flutter
without a pitter or a patter
until the dawn light reveals them
to be nowhere found
and still as silent as the stony ground.

Death, When Soul Wills To Part

In thoughts of death when sleep possessed my eye,
I saw a daunting figure, benign still:
I’ve come to escort thee by divine will,
Hope, with thy own wise will ye will sans why.
Scores of my body cells die every day,
A bit of me each moment as ye know,
Life’s born to die, death all along lurks low,
Why just today? I hope you’ve not lost way.

I need come here none of them to escort,
But only when the soul wants to depart,
Let death daunt every heartbeat of thy life,
I usher soul alone to divine court,
To know right time to depart’s subtle art,
As is to know when karmic cup is rife.

Poet’s note: A dialogue between a dreaming soul and the messenger of Lord of Death, Yama, who on death sends his deputies to escort the soul.

I Am Not Chuck-Will’s-Widow

Part I: Bullies, Lodging and Treats

             Whip-Poor-Will at twilight —
                  Tremendous skyline.
My wings ~ vainglorious, like a teen girl’s locks.

Nightjar
   Goateater
        Bugeater

Bully-based bias, cryptically colored
                      along branches and leaves.

And don’t step on me, but do hover
      near my nest
if you’re a tasty treat, not a pest.

Part II: HAUNTED

away she flew, wild-eyed, pale,
see-through; buried under my wings.

the mourners nearly stepped on her;
litterfall and cladodes -
fear and delight at my whip-poor-will dirge.

Premium Member The I Wills of God - Isaiah 41 V10

Fear is an awful frightening thing
but God says fear thou not!
the Lord God's then gives a reason
I am with thee this assuredly you've got

So then there's no reason to be sad
for God says do not be dismayed
I have declared I am your God
so personal this promise will never fade

God then says I will strengthen you
His strength is able to do anything
for He's able to even to raise the dead
showing that He's the Lord our king

The Lord speaks of showing His care
comfortingly I will help you yea I will
what better offer can one receive
so be at peace in Christ and be still

Now God says He will uphold you
with the right hand of His righteousness
God's righteousness is pure and perfect
for it's covered by His faithfulness

These are the I wills of God
certain promises eternally sure
so you're able to bank your life upon
fully true so will certainly endure

(Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.)
Isaiah 41:10

As God Knows--God Wills--So Shall It Be--Eternity

As of today
I spoke unto my tis man
whom claims to be my body guard
I told him... he not worry
about protecting me...

For tis Sunday grows near...
For tho many still
as they want or feel
that tis be...
Wanting me for a living sacrifice
Tis Very Strange....

But tis be..
As I told my bodyguard
No worry's
For I prayed my Lord
asking Jesus
Will my Prince ever come for me
Who loves me for me...
and only me...
I told my body guard
About what God revealed
unto my heart...
12/12/12 tis a mystery still

My body guard then
as he Looked at me...
No man ever within this world
would Love you for you
they would always want something
as most women in this world do..

I then said... tis NO.. that tis not true..
For I... myself...
tis Love be in Truth
Marry only for True Love
that beholds inside of me...
I pray tis man of Christ too
would love me for me...
and only me...
In Holy Matrimony

then he smiled and said...
Yes... tis perhaps
maybe True..
But Perhaps
you not seem to realize..
God's ways are not always
the ways we think
nor the way you take things....

Tis you see...
If this is True
about 12/12/12
then tis be... may be the day
God takes you....

For you are Married to Christ
He is your Husbandman...
Tis then I am sure..
Reasons beyond...
What you or many may think
For may be...
It shall be
Time you Wed...
                       for Eternity...

Then I looked upon him
and said.. tis be..

As God knows..
God Wills
So shall it be
Eternity

Or tis be..
If He beholds Blessings
of True Love
within this life
I will be married..
and be Honored with
Blessings tis be
with a Man of Christ...
In Holy Matermony

But tis be right now..
I don't see how...
for tis.. I behold Love of Truth
for one man.. but tis
he Loves only tis light within me..

God only knows..
Truth shall be Prevailed..

Then I looked at him
I then thought unto myself
Tis be True...
For God does Love me for me..
and many too...

But then again...
God knows...
Truth Shall Prevail...

Come to Jesus

If God Wills,

I plan to continue reading

If my eyes will let me

I plan to continue writing

If my hands will let me

I plan on continuing to listen

If my ears will be patient

I plan on living.

I plan on continuing to walk

If my legs will carry me

I plan on continuing to run

If my knees will carry me

I plan to continue talking

If my tongue will not fail me

I plan to live fully.

I plan to laugh often

If my ribs will handle it

I plan on eating much much

If my stomach will take it

I plan on loving you

Because my heart was made for it.

I plan on these, if god wills.

Continuance of Wills

Will it ever end?
Will ways converge and begin to mend
Will the closeness that once was
Ever be again?
With truths remain untold
And will fears continue to go unchallenged
Will ill placed unnecessary guards stand?
While that which is strong and innocence
Become not so?
Will one and one ever make two?
Will the hand that has been over extend
Ever retract intertwined?
Will this and so much more go on
While everything else wanes away?

Premium Member A Battle of Wills

It's a constant battle of wills with my son and me
One-upmanship is foremost in our daily “get along” tree
Heads are strong
Equal right or wrong
Mostly friendly but goes off the rail if we really disagree

Wills of the Mind

Some works are brought about by the mind veiled
Lungs breathing, eyelids blinking, the heart beating non-stop
Are done in the mind asleep with no will

Emotions flow here and there with no guide
Though we can build dams to have some directional flow
Emotions still ripple through gaps and cracks

Other works are done with a lonely will
Most are born into the world by the bodily mind
Pleasures and darkness are its short-lived dreams

Some are designed by the rational soul
The foundation of all man-made castles and towers
Morals and duty are its drowsiness

A few come to light by blazing spirit
A silent pearl that is within every plant and tree
Silence and mystery are its daylight

Intent and works come from sleep and awareness
From battles between water and soul, sleep and spirit
You must choose which to follow in these long battles

Premium Member Free Wills Destiny

His Karma ran over his Dogma
His dish ran away with the spoon
He wonders if Destiny's planning
To do away with him soon

He found out the hard way that Free Will
Comes with carrying charges and tax
That between the tenets and credos
There is little room for the facts

She was sure that the Gods had her number
That no matter which road she took
There stood this fellow named Murphy
Writing her name in some book

It seems she was never empowered
To challenge the powers that rule
She simply grew as she flowered
And challenged them all to a duel

Blessing of Love Between Hearts--As God Wills

Knowing is Truth
Knowing within your heart
Knowing what is real
What you want…
How you feel..
There is no doubt

God Knows
True Intents of Hearts
Christ Followers
Knowing... Love & Truth

Love.. Faith.. and Hope
Greatest of these Three
Is LOVE

Blessing of Love between
Two Christ Followers
A man and a woman
Pureness of Love
Truth Sustains

Knowing...
Truth Prevails
Love Never Fails
Hope endures

Love True Treasures
Love has No Limit
Love has No doubt
Love is beyond Measures

Believing is Knowing
Knowing is Truth
Love is Received
                             Beyond...

Premium Member A Battle of Wills and Verbal Skills

Fed up with his constant prattle

I got into a verbal battle

The harshest of words were spoken

But in the end his will was broken

My voice was clear and strong of lung

I was sharp of wit and deft of tongue

His face grew pale and ashen gray

Then he finally just walked away

Do you want something? Own ideas?
That’s a problem! You cannot live alone!
Are you an individual? That’s a crime!
You cannot have your own will and
consciousness, ideas, dreams, goals

You can’t be yourself, you have a ruler
You are a slave to a science. Human-made
This is the dark age. Foggy. Psychologically
The sun died. God became an exile
We are controlled and monitored animals

This is the darkness
We become zombies
In the Bible, Jesus said
Wolves come in sheep’s clothing

People who have been made…
Hopeless are waiting for the hope

“I am your hope, I save you!
Just do what I want of you!
Just follow all my instructions.”

Say it with a false, friendly smile
In a lambwhite cloak
