Gee Whiz

Gee Whiz
I ate a sandwich made of wurst
with four large beers to quench my thirst
because my clothing was of worsted
I was extremely hot and really thirsted
I drank some more and nearly bursted
I ran to the john to relieve my pain
I had to wait for I wasn't firsted
when it was free I hurriedly ran
the whiz came out like heavy rain
after relief I repeated the act
and then went home for another snack

Whiz-bang the Frog

Whiz-bang the frog
 And Toodles the dragonfly
Sit by the pond
 Watching the caddisflies

They sing La Ti Da!
 They sing Fa La La!
And then Wah-Wah Woo!
A chorus of Doo Wappa Doo!

They sing with the zebra fish,
 Under the moon,
And buzz with the skeeters,
 Staying in tune.

Knats strum the reeds
 Like beats on a bass,
The crickets chirp in
 With tunes from the knotgrass.

Damselflies, water bugs
 Harmonize a tone poem
And hum serenades
 In drowsy overtones.

Skater bugs scat
 All over the pond
While Whiz-bang and Toodles
 Lead the pond sing-a-long.

Premium Member Whiz Bang Chat This Morning

They had a whiz-bang chatter this morning.
A grandma grandson yackety-yak
Chatty Chat Chat Smile Laugh Laugh
On Facetime, an I-phone application

It was waggery talk
Mischievous but harmless
Nothing offensive was said
It brought a calm to both parties

The FaceTime concept less intimidating than I thought
At first it had bewildered and perplexed us
Grandma did not want to try it until this morning
Now she says “Who shall we call next?”

Used to be a whiz at chess way back when
Not a world class player but enjoyed myself, no end
Losing wasn't an option
That proved a problem
Had to be restrained, d'ya know what I'm sayin'?

Goofy Was a Whiz

Goofy
Old Goofy surely knew the score,
Dumb and dumber maybe more,
Staggered about with Mickey Mouse,
Thought old Donald was a grouch.
But we loved a dummy sure.
Black Pete would give Goofy a slap,
The Beagle boys joined eyebrows at,
Mickey handled them bad chaps,
And Goofy walked with glory,
Goofy looked more like a dog,
And Pluto never looked agog,
Both were happy as a frog,
Dog to dog no fighting,
Shucks said Goofy at the fair,
“I plumb fergot to comb me hair,”
“Couldn’t find it anywhere” ,
Uncombed now is the fashion,
Dumber was an dumber is,
A funny guy, or dog it is.
With Goofy, everywhere.

Do you know?
Yes, I know
It is my personal space,
which no one should invade.

Do you know?
Yes, I know
That your kinesics are so valuable,
That they should be palpable.

Do you know?
Yes,I know
Your attitude towards elders,
Should be appreciated even by contenders.

Do you know?
Yes, I know
To be aware of the other,
Should not be a pother.

Do you know?
Yes, I know
To be independent, yet inter-dependent,
Will make you splendent.

Do you know?
Yes, I know
What is it?
Can you guess with your wit?

A concept that is multi-faceted,
Makes your life chapleted.

Yes, International mindedness it is,
That's sure to make you an IB Whiz.

Premium Member Life Poetry With a Crystal Ball

Many questions come in life,                                                                        some cut like a knife.

If had a crystal ball,
I would know who to call.
When young we know it all,                                                                          maybe we should just hold our doll.

Middle age was our working days,
I feel like I was living in a maze.

Then came marriage,                                                                                  with all the baggage.

If had a crystal ball,
I might not feel so small.

Everywhere there are kids,
time flies by like a whiz.

Now in old age,
I have been let out of my cage.

Just like a bird soaring,
now I am roaring.

Boring Teacher and Whiz Kid

Feeding a child with what he knows already !
Hasn't this been in many good schools steady?
A child finds it fine acting unconcernedly,
Teacher is sure it's time to be unfriendly,
The child soon humming tunes or shuffling his feet
Wanting to another chap in mischief beat...

All these right under a teacher's sorry nose
With his bulging bag hitting another close.
If teacher flogs child as good as the sacked!
He should have the lips of tasted French wine smacked!
A child who could answer his cruellest questions
And where he had messed up made suggestions.

The Geo-Whiz

It is my second day in high school and I had signed up for Geography.

Nearing the end, our teacher gave a simple pop quiz test
... guessing that she was gauging us. She said to get out
our pens and paper and list down the alphabet's on the
left side of our paper.

She stands next to the classroom globe pointing at it and told us to write down any place on there that we may know about, except Hawaii, then write our answers to the corresponding alphabets on our list.

I live out in the country, far from the village high school.
We have no electricity but an AM transistor radio, basically,
it's entertainment for the adults. Now, that left us kids to
do whatnots. Mines was reading ... comics to encyclopedias.

(The completed tests were turned in, graded, and returned.)

Marked in red, she gave me 99% and an A.

The lunch bell rang and I went to her desk and said that she made an error and that she had crossed out my 'O' and replaced it with an 'I'.

I told her, "I did not write about a country but about a city in
Algeria that is larger than Honolulu." After showing her that
place on the globe, she changed my grade to 100% and an A+.

In regards to that correction, just add 'ran' to those alphabets to know what had occurred.

Our inventions long ago surpassed the wheel and fire
paper, compass, printing press, penicillin, rubber tire
vaccines, light bulbs, electricity, radio, and colored tv
rockets, air conditioning, fiber optics, printers 3-D
we always think everything ever invented already is.
Until someone proves us wrong, usually a kid with Whiz.
