"Green is nature’s poetry."
"Green – the magical canvas of nature."
"Green gives the calm we need in this world full of chaos."
~ Shilpa Ahuja (all 3 quotes)
"Green is the fresh emblem of well-founded hopes."
~ Mary Webb
Nature's poetry is green,
Blazing in the leaves,
It makes the heart feel serene,
The mind, calm receives;
Green is canvas magical,
Where God paints the trees,
Vast verdancy radical
Cool the eyes and please;
Emblem of well-founded hopes,
Green is Spring's first blush,
The fresh grass that grows on slopes,
Decked with dew looks lush;
When we see an emerald,
The pulse beats faster,
Green does excite and herald
"Hand of the Master".
What do we tell the precious children, Lord,
those sweetly innocent and trusting ones?
They should not have to know of dreadful war,
our tiny daughters and our little sons.
Help us explain to them our falling bombs,
that sometimes they will go a bit astray.
A child is killed, and though he’s someone’s son,
he’s just another victim of a war.
We don’t intend that bombs should go astray.
We thank you that our child was not the one,
playing out there when we released our bomb.
Help them to understand it please, dear Lord.
They’ve seen the dreadful pictures of the war.
the fall-out from the bombs that go astray.
Give us the words to comfort them, dear Lord.
Protect them from well-founded fears and bombs.
You know how much we love are little ones,
our pretty daughters and our handsome sons.
Childhood should not be filled with thoughts of war.
There should be only games for such loved ones.
Children can’t flourish in the dread of bombs,
of world in flames when they are dropped astray.
How can we shield them from these pictures, Lord,
that are too ugly for the little ones?
Please help us educate the children, Lord.
Show us the errors that have caused a war.
Since we are all your daughters and your sons
we ask protection over every one.
Make duds, we pray, of all the falling bombs,
and make each lethal bullet go astray.
Teach us why peace and freedom went astray,
and lead us all to no more guns and bombs.
Send angels down to hold innocent ones.
Please heed our fervent plea of no more war.
In angel wings enfold daughters and sons.
We pray for theirs as well as ours, dear Lord.
Your sons will turn to You again, dear Lord
if little ones are not exposed to war
and falling bombs no longer go astray.

Unlucky in cards
Lucky in Love
Is the saying
Show me the bards
And the light from above
I began braying
Hopes and dreams cast asunder
My heart a literal punching bag
For dishonesty
I said love is a blunder
Made by fools selling ads in a mag
Sadness was my destiny
But then I met her
Our meeting was innocent enough
We chatted carefully
Our caution well founded
But love was no bluff
We chatted plentifully
Our Love abounded
Once again I was struck
Her very glance was plenty
I wanted more
I was gifted with lady luck
Granting me with the greatest girl among many
The angels said it was amore
So here I sit
In the arms of love
I have fallen fast
But I enjoy all of it
As I sit with my dove
Willing to make it last
ethics mold our core being
our well-founded standards
embrace morals and values
and not follow one’s feelings
nor “what society accepts”
every equation has two sides
let knowledge prevail
Author’s Introduction - A word about Minot’s Ledge Lighthouse:
The Minot’s Ledge lighthouse, built 1850, lying off the southeastern chop of
Boston Bay, was the first lighthouse built in the U. S. that was not protected by
exposure to the fury of ocean storms. It was, then unfinished, in the shape of an
egg-shell painted red and supported by iron pillars. The first keeper, Isaac
Dunham, quit after 10 months citing how unsafe the structure was (swaying 2
feet in each direction in a storm). His fears were well founded, for in April 1851, a
colossal storm struck the New England coast. The lighthouse was toppled and
swept away, and the two attendants, Joseph Antoine and Joseph Wilson, were
killed.
The following day only a few bent pilings were found on the rock. This tragedy set
the standard for the construction of more solid structures using granite blocks for
greater support and a new light was built by June, 1860.
To this day, legend has it, that in dark and stormy weather, sailors hear a voice
coming from Minot’s Light crying in Portuguese (the nationality of one of the
deceased keepers – Joseph Antoine) – “Stay away!”
The Ill-Fated Lighthouse
The towering light that threw
Its friendly beams afar
Over the foaming waves,
The sailor’s guiding star,
Is quench’d – and darkness glooms
Where late it bless’d his sight,
As homeward bound he came
In the dark hour of night.
The thundering surges swept
Over the rocky bed,
From which the lighthouse rear’d
Aloft its flaming head.
And lo! They bore away
In that mad fearful hour,
The work that man had made –
The tempest’s rightful dower
And yet a richer freight
The heaving billows bore,
Than wreck of perished Light!
For tossing to the shore
The drench’d and lifeless forms
Of youthful dead there were,
Two brave and manly hearts
That sadly perish’d there!
Farewell ye faithful ones!
Your memory shall live,
While feeling hearts remain,
Pity’s sweet drops to give,
Or any to recount
The terrors of that night,
When the drear sea engulf’d
The hapless beacon light.
And you, ye rushing waves!
Sweep – foaming, sweep along,
And ever as ye go,
Lift high your noisy song;
For thou, remorseless sea!
Maketh all things thine own!
Then send aloft your tune,
And madly thunder on.
When you find the truth it cannot be broken
belonging to the sacred word it remains unspoken
as mind and body attach to it and become as one
recognize then your journey ahead will have begun
Reason and logic to one another they belong
necessarily maintaining distance from the norm
truth will forever be that one guiding light
subduing everything false under its might
If the truth is what you seek, you must first prepare
challenges you will face, and dangers to beware
if you resign yourself to accept that which is right
know for your very life, for this alone do you fight
With the existence of evil in this world, have we been surrounded
yet, our ability to choose good over evil, is a truth well founded
the power to achieve our internal peace, lies in our very hands
no escaping this obligation, to pursue truth is what He commands
A person's true essence, is only his soul from within
his body must remain, after sullied from a lifetime of sin
before us are many paths in this world, good, bad, life and death
our goals are the same, to choose life before that final breath
As our souls begin to soar, many awaiting our heavenly trial
taken from us now, freewill to change that lifetime of denial
this light of truth while alive, we still could have acquired
what remains for us to correct, now that we have expired
What words can be said, and what tears will be left to shed
having lived that life, sadly, so void of truth, as one dead
last opportunities do not squander, eternal life is within reach
but first you have to be willing to change, to your heart beseech
It was a dream about a FIRE; or was it a WARNING about a business
Proposition? This fire was started in our home in our heater. Nothing
Is unusual about trying to keep warm, but this fire was different. It was Started by a relative, and it was at first very much appreciated. Nevertheless, Immediately, the FLAMES became very INTENSE, and did not Diminish.
It was a WINDY day, and I could see that the flames were greatly effected
By the STRONG wind, because the flames were WRAPPING round the corner Of our house. I started checking the walls of the house to ascertain whether They Were normal or being OVERHEATED. My suspicion was well founded as I Could SEE that the walls were taking TOO MUCH HEAT. I was very concerned But did not PANIC. I did not want to call the fire department Just yet; so I Obtained a water hose and began to SPRAY water on the front and side walls, Preventing a catastrophe. I could not understand why the fire became so INTENSE, so RAPIDLY. Immediately after the fire was brought under CONTROL, the dream disappeared as SUDDENLY as it had appeared.
The dream occurred just last night, and this morning, the dream and an Interpretation came To mind. Whether the interpretation is precise, truthful Or not, I do not know. But often an interpretation will UNFOLD in my mind. For some years now, I have believed that many dreams, but not all, are linked To what has transpired in our waking timeline. And the brain has a way of 'TRANSFIXING' our real experiences into the form of a dream.
This dream concerns the sale of property involving a trusted friend. I should Proceed with caution regarding the business matter initiated. Many of life's Experiences are loaded with VOLATILITY without assistance from us. Yet other Components of our lives become volatile when we interact with them.
101621PSCtest, Onomatopoeia Poetry, Emile Pinet
Onomatopoeia words are in caps.
My Father built and repaired houses.
Like my Mother, I have a fear of potentially,
terrible disasters; They are well-founded, you see.
I’ve seen the nail-through-the-finger;
the fall from ladders and his face,
the day that someone’s hammer broke a light bulb
And glass shards dotted his face.
After a while, the ER employees knew him by name.
Nevertheless, he went to work every day, quite proudly
and returned in the evenings for his,
aspirin and pre-supper, nap.
Floods follow no lofty order,
And blind be to any border,
They like none, nor dislike,
And equal do all strike,
He knows who’s a fair beholder.

Happenings |24.08.2024| river, flood
Poet’s note: The new regime in Bangladesh recently felt that India deliberately opened up dam waters to inundate the neighbour country. This ditty shows, the truth is otherwise. The Indian territory was no less affected by the floods, and their fear is not well-founded.
Gaia is the Earth's mother and keeper,
guarding, shielding, protecting the future.
Gaia is fed up with humans as kings;
Earth is a mess with ecosystem dings.
Humans out of control, are now a sore;
endless fighting, threatening nuclear war.
Gaia must act before it's far too late,
to choose a new king of beasts to create.
Primates societies are too weak,
too dependent on politic's critique.
So Gaia looked at social insect clans,
with their stable, safe, old monarchy brands.
So it was a choice between the top three:
the ant, the termite and the social bee.
In the end it was the ants that were crowned
as new king of beasts; a choice well-founded.
Whirlwind of emotions swirling in my heart
Shards of love
Shards of pain
Shards of deception
Conviction in my heart is it well founded?
Why should i trust?
Why should i love?
What rationalization should be granted for my devotion?
Yearning for enjoyment and freedom
Will i achieve it?
Revelations shall be revealed in the future
Anticipating justifcations of my merits
THE EMPTINESS
I yearn;
For a feeling of belonging,
To be seen as an equal,
Liked and accepted just as I am.
I need someone in whom to confide and
know that I will neither be judged for being
less than perfect nor have my confidence betrayed.
I need a friend.
I pine;
I want to be seen for who and what I really am,
And not be judged for it,
But accepted in spite of it.
I need to feel loved.
I hunger;
For a sense of oneness with another,
To be able to love and be loved in return,
To trust and be trusted,
And to know these feelings are well founded.
I need a mate, a soul mate.
It hurts to reach out in this darkness,
And find no one reaching back.
It's frightening to be alone.
But Wait!
I felt --- Something.
Soft, Warm, Gentle.
I heard a faint sound.
A quiet call,
Someone knows I'm here!
Someone knows my name!
I reach out once more.
Someone grasped my hand,
with such gentle strength and compassioon,
Such quiet reassurance.
I peered into the darkness and saw a single,
tiny star shining in the distance.
The more I leaned toward it the brighter it got,
Until it's light fillled the universe.
I searched for the source of it's light.
Then I saw it, The Source.
It was Him.
He is The Light.
He is The Source.
He is Warmth, Love, Acceptance, Shelter, Providence,
Power, Grace and More.
He is all I have ever needed.
He is my Savior.
He is God's Only Begotten Son.
He is Jesus.

(To Those Who Like To Talk)
"Use No Hurtful Deceit. Think Innocently And Justly And When You Speak, Speak Accordingly." Ben Franklin
He said, She said, every word,
Is often less than perfect;
And When we repeat what we have heard,
It's often not correct;
So if you must repeat a thing,
Make sure of all your info,
Or you may cause extreme distress,
Creating quite some side show;
For often we misunderstand,
What has been said to us,
Repeating what we think we heard,
Creating quite a fuss.
Feelings get hurt, good names are lost,
Relationships are wounded,
All because we spread abroad,
A story not well founded;
So if you hear about a thing,
That shocks you to your core,
Before you spread the story,
Find out what went before.
Exactly what was said to me?
Did I hear that right?
If I repeat this will it help,
Or will it cause a fight?
Sometimes it's best to let things lay,
Leave sleeping dogs alone.
Most talk is simply talk, no more,
Just people picking bones.
