Poetry Is This

Poetry comes from the heart, the dreams, the spirit, and wishes, Too oft' I hear of pain and woe and what life often dishes. So come with me and learn and see that poetry is more than this, It's more than rhymes and more than times and more than just a kiss.

I hear the thunder rolling as I feel the breeze a blowing, So my mind begins a showing a dream that I been going, Going far from where I am and going far from where I'll be. My heart it flutters and then it mutters as I drift out to sea.

See the birds glide through the air as if they were at home. See the fish float in the water and look right up at me. Toss a hand full of the future high into the sky, Pitch a thought of where I was and then see where I'll be…

The flowers grow both wild and tame not seeking any nurture, And yet, we pause and sniff and think and end their lives, no thought… The ants they move both to and fro just doing what they do, We watch and gaze so questionably and poison what they've sought…

We cry and wale at the loss, that we see so wrongly dealt, Curse the sky, and wonder why, and swear unto revenge. Never we think about the way the sun rises, or how the moon it glows, The cat's meow, the cow it's moo, the frog it hops, or how a fire will singe.

A shadow never walks away, from all and does endure,

I'm a shadow, and I see all the things you don't. I feel the texture of the ground, each of its nooks and crannies, I follow the contour of the earth and enjoy the things you won't…

I touch the sky and feel the water; I am all that I write, I am the sound that you don't hear; I am the sights that you don't see, I am the feeling you can't express; I am the dream you can't caress,

I am the love that once passed by; I am the loss that made you cry, I am the fantasy not touched; I am the one, who listens much,

I am the star that looks at you; I see all you wish to do, I am the moon that shines at night; I am the thought that takes a flight, but more than these and all I write I am a poet late in the night…

Do Or Die Migration

do or die migration
Every one see that sea
From North Africa
Close to Europe

Every one see that sea
Close to Australia

Ever one see the little boat
Jam parked like a can of sadden
Full of people called immigrant
Where are they from ????????

Do or die migration
Let see if we know this people
Just like a reality tale
In some places
Are set of people living like
They got no help nor care
Like a hell on earth
This people have a government
This people have leaders
Hello does this ring a bell
Yet the fire of poverty keep
Burning
So frustration drive them to
The little boat jam park of sadden
Where and what is this place
Called ????????

Do or die migration
Let see if we know this place
This place this immigrant comes from
In some parts of this world
An empire show the power from
Above
In trying to create their identity
They devalue human
Devour innocent souls
The survivor now try's to migrate
Rushing to the little boat
Jam park like a sadden
What part of the world are they
From ????????

Do or die migration
I know every big shark
Will love to live in this
Part if the sea
Where day by day
Night by night
Souls drawn while
On a journey of survival
On a run to safety
What can make a human
Take this risk
Leaves me with a ???????
Question mark
Note
With a humble heart I dedicate this
Poem to the souls lost on the sea while trying to migrate to the land of safety mostly to my lost friend from Nigeria wale tunde!

Hunger Pangs

It was unnerving
a growling demon of
deprivation,
an
enemy that lurks
in shadows, but
the eyes don't lie
silver spoons
do tarnish
with lack of use

they're tucked
away from public eye
shamed by the ideals
of the elite
without capital leverage
they can't bargain
for slices of pie

 alone,
starving souls
often remain on
the threshold of pain
reaching for anything
to fill the void, to
cease the sound of
Hungry cries

the soul, the stomach,
the heart, the mind
all needing substenance
to sustain the firm form
Significant Human dignity

Poverty leaves souls
in the frigid cold
it's hold sounds
like empty stomachs
in Public Schools
Empty minds, and
wagons rattling
needing to be heard
"Feed Me"
even the scraps
will do like
outdated textbooks
and budgets
The elite always has more

A brewing storm
if the belly isn't
fed the norm
hungry they are
the forgotten faces
sifted out via
The Politics of
Education
Urban and Rural

The Hungry bottom
Forced Servitude
Or they hide in
the park after dark
under Bridges
swept and mopped
into Shelters,
or hidden shantytowns

What happened to
The Highest Ideals
of Man?
On Loans,
Or Dream Deferred
and the best
 eat and the least
wait in stale
Souplines
while hunger pangs
wale into the night

2 Fish, 5 Loaves
Considering the consciousness
Of America still has a Heart
To feed all that Freedom
That's reached when
All have reached
Satiety
Let us all be
Full and fed
Led the sound
Of hunger be dead......

Weakened By Emotion

A sadness has come over me,
A darkness has set in;
The search for lone identity,
My patience wearing thin.

With yesteryear behind me,
an new ones yet to come;
I feel I'm blind and cannot see,
no direction to or from.

My quest is here, my time expired,
I set my life a sail;
I'm cold, I'm lonely, and I'm tired,
with this I start to wale.

So with my thoughts I dry my eyes,
and follow twisted winds;
With hope and fervor as my guides,
my journey now begins.

A day gone by and nothing yet,
to tame that which I fear;
My sadness I cannot forget,
its' voice is all I hear.

The darkness still upon me,
My course I cannot find;
And so I drift amid the sea,
In weakened state of mind.

When I Was Little

When I was little my dad had a problem.
He made the mistake and killed my mom.
It happened when I was little,to me somewhat like a little riddle.
I was in my room playing with my doll when I heard a big slam on the wall.
I went under my bed and hoped it would end, but it wouldn't stop I couldn't even
pretend.
I heard screaming and then a loud wale, I tried to pretend it was all a fairytale
I got up on my feet and went to see what was wrong.
When I saw my dead mother I couldn't look at her for long.
Tears flew down my cheek then I began to cry.
Couldn't hold back my tears for long,
I couldn't even try.
I cryed for a moment then I saw him,
The guy who killed my mother,
I remembered I used to love him.
I rushed away and ran out the door,
then I tripped and hit the floor.
I missed the person i used to adore,
I missed the person he was before.
He grasped me in his arms and squeezed me tight,
he was so strong it was worthless to fight.
I let out my last scream and then gave up.
That's when I almost died because I wasn't tough, not even enough.
But to my attention I saw someone,
He punched my dad, then told me to run.
It is still a sad story to tell,
it was when my mom died and I almost died as well.

Sisi Kama Sisi

Maana tayari kizazi chetu kimeshapotea

21st Century Love

Ilianza na masalamu za hewani.
"Niaje".
Masmile za confusion,
Fusion ya lust na trust,
Compilation ngori ju huoni mahali mnafikishana
Mbio za ujana huishia kitandani,
Au kwa cell ndani.

Makosa ni kukosa kuona future
Kwa mkono nikatattoo hour glass,
So that every morning nikiamka kwa bed yake najua ni turn ya another lass.

Same script,same characters.
But
Bands still made her dance.
She discovered the secret to it all nikunyamaza and smile like Mona Lisa,
Kutumbukiza vidole kwa maji ya uhai
Ndio ata kesho ukimwai, asubuhi bado dignity na ngwai ziko mkononi mwake.

Sala na ibada ikawa ni lazima
Ju hujui next time inakupatia wapi...kwa mama Bima ama kwa kina nonini.
Ndio Nani...saa ngapi...
Masharti tuliwachia kina baba na mama,
Tukipatana just make sure tunaheshimiana
We ni single mother.
Lazima brikicho itachezwa usiku.
Hakuna tafauti na geneza,6 feet under
Mchanga ikiongezwa.

Usiulize kwa nini mashonga ni wengi
Na kila Dame ni lesbian,
Wamatha na vitambi wanateka maboy,
Masponsor ndio lingo ya wababa
Harusi na watoto kageuka biashara.

Ntaplay along
Lakini deep down,
Hakuna love.

By the Ocean's Edge

I sit by the ocean’s edge, regarding the 3 shades of blue before me.
As I watch, a reverse cascade bursts to the sky. A low wale and a splash. Gone.
Dolphins, their laughter adorable at the least, bound into the air, only to dive back seconds later.
Looking over, I see the wise cranes, jumping and bopping to a tune I cannot hear.
Gulls high above shout greetings to me and their fellows.
The sun, radiating it’s warmth unto my skin, bright and bold.

This is paradise. But not my paradise.

…There has to be lemonade.
Then, and only then, will this be my paradise.

Moshe

A long time ago one kid
would shower snowballs up on us
his name was Moshe
neighbour's ewe lamb,
once he drowned my family's cat
after pricking it all over with
his mother's tailor needle.
He didn't apologise didn't look back.
He'd laugh when I would kiss you
beneath the willow right on your reddish cheek
sort of a ripe midsummer's fruit
when our dry lips hadn't already
been wading through the childhood
to the dewy land.
And Moshe was working together
with his father veterinarian -
latex gloves, scissors
tubing, tents,
patching up the gashes for curs
puttin'em to sleep due to the rabies,
the birds would withdraw from the sky
when Moshe would spend his night-time
on a loft sewing up the tails of the mice
after tearing them off
without any prayer, Lord,
without a touch.
Moshe had a scar below his eye
he was born marked,
genes, my dear,
people saying
that's a gene of scalpel and needle,
and it's uncertain what they'd been doing
with our parents's cats
in the childhood.
I met him at abandoned temple recently,
Moshe, he was meshed
into the bindweeds
fogged from eternal shade
demented from birdsongs
wale-marked by God,
or by Lucifer, or perhaps by me
I swear I can't remember
it's a long time we are seeking ourselves
for each other at this temple
you never know there's a chance
we are simply insane.

Doomed Death

Her blank expression soaked up anger at an eccentric pace,
Tension built up as the devil inside of her deformed her face,
Her scream sent chills shooting down my back,
Instantly my ears blocked out the wale that made my skull crack,

The darkness engulfed the everlasting echo as a whole, As if a hungry beast,
I would never get released...
Silence stretched and the night muted my desperate call, again she screamed!
Then followed the ear piercing car tyres screeching,
With me screaming off my head,
The lights of the cars beamed,
The sudden rush of adrenaline reminded me that my life was hanging by a single thread,

In a matter of seconds- we were in mid-air,
Driving off of a cliff, as we hit the curve,
With no moments to spare,
I learned over to conserve,

The only being that meant more to me than me,
That she... that she, who screamed at the truth of me,
Only when she could clearly see the real me,
I realised that she, Could not bear with the cruelty held within me,
The cruelty within me is overruling,
The more I accelerate the more I begin drooling,
I drool as I can’t stop myself, I’m too weak,
Within a strong person, comfort I seek,

The confidence and reassurance in each of her movements,
The glide in personality and unbeatable perseverance,
Make guilt lay eggs in the centre of my brain,
As it’s a fact that I don’t deserve her yet without her I’d turn insane...

Lost in a world that’s falling apart,
All that’s left is one last beat of my heart,
Not because in seconds I’m doomed to die,
That would just be another lie,
But because in just a second,
I know her life will end,
 And as her heart beats,
Mine repeats...

Fire Engine Scarlet Red 12-31-11

fire engine scarlet red
is the color of the fire fighting Amaranth dead
who hide there sinful Liability
as they wave at me
from beyond my walking concrete grave
to let me know, that my time is
finely being bleed to the color of
broken swollen face Cordovan red

with a nod, the oldest
of the human fire fighting apparatuses
give me a sinful smile, while he drives The jungle Junction
to let me know all the wale (a plank around the outside of a ship)
heaven can watch me as they push me to jump
and that not, a soul will catch me, when i fall

I am theirs to control
mine, mind is not my own
and not a person can i ask for help
for they are organized
all the way up, to the political
rusted system, of no investigation
of your just Rosewood dead...
and your malted color lips wear
the evoked yellow color
and smell excreted Urine
reddish brown puppet...
