Premium Member To a Raven

Fearless Raven, soaring in
the rich, dark chasm—
that world of shadows, echoes,
cliffs and crags chaotic,
the void of subtle stirrings in
a quintessential midnight—
Make some room for me
on your old, straight wings.
I, too, need to sense
lightning piercing stardust,
galvanizing mountains,
stoking distant thunder.
Let me catch a breath
of your pure, primeval air,
exotic and unshackling
latent, raw, unbounded.

GOLD AND BLOOD

GOLD AND BLOOD

Mantis eyes magnetised her sister’s heart
felt its imprisoned glint of gold
willed it to enlarge into a
                                     lotus leaf upon a sea

It floats on a lake of blood before
dawn turning hot burning blue
heat of her own blood
                                    gold of her own heat

‘Let her not drown in
bloodied gold of red
running thick and deep’
So she murmured, so they did

To a shore of soft sand
Heart sailed escorted by
obsidian lidded dragons
                              gloomy gold unshackling

Guts, throat, tongue
puddle, pond, lake of
blood transmuted to turquoise
                               gold and blood morphing

Cupids created decoupage dishes
with bloodied dollars gold
called for another stint
                               to alchemise pentacles cold

Premium Member The Vamperic Prayer-Dracula's Oath

In the name of blood, for it is the source of life itself,
Plasma's crimson essence of liquid infusion, to the undead's
Pulsating heart.
Intravenously feeding cravings passion, through the carotid
Artery at the throat of humanity, thou'st not love, suffer
The pleasure indulge the pain, the out come shall be the same,
To be embraced by the black ebony arch angel of death,
Release thy darker side, let the instinctual behavior of the beast,
Know freedoms unshackling at last.
Become one of his sacred disciples, a creature of his dark dimension,
A kindred being, unto the legion of the night.
In the moon's elliptical light, shadows thus move from
Left to right, shifting as transparent figures, phantoms of
Illusions, taking winged flight, soaring on the currents
Of air mingling with their ancestral brethren, the vampire bat.
Run does not the lone wolf, along the side path next to man,
As we do so walk amongst them, yet never attempting to belong.
Oh are we not the a shunned, the accursed, by a God known
For his forgiveness, to love all living things under
Heaven, but for us this mightiest of lords, turns
His gaze away, not acknowledging our existence.
Our we not his lost sheep, missing from his flock, why
Does not this Sheppard seek this black lamb’s wool,
Is it too coarse for weaving's wheel, as it spins thus
And is it not said that he created all life within his image.
Nay I pray this vamperic prayer, why has he abandon
Us, the darker of his creations.
Behold the unascended, begging to enter beyond the gates
Of light, children of the lost are we, seeking a father blind
To his responsibility.
Harvesting, by the basic instincts given unto us,
Taking only what we need to survive, for this he has turned
Against us, and thus taking the light of day with him.
So my father of damnation's hell, has offered salvation's
Darker domain as a sheltering harbor of comfort, I will not
Abstain his patronage.
For I am the ashunned, living by the moonlight's haunting glow,
Yet yearning to see one last horizons sunset, but the Holy Father,
Hears not my humble vamperic prayer.

Premium Member Divine Freedom Enjoyed

Once I was condemned to die eternally
Found guilty without iota of a doubt
Showing human nature at its sinful best…
…yet, God made me free!*

The Saviour with His wondrous love and mercy
Offered to me His magnificent pardon
Which I received, trusting Him with my pure faith…
…setting my soul free!

Unshackling with mercy my transgression-chains
Christ paid fully my iniquities’ wages
Through His glorious sacrificial, cleansing blood…
…granting my freedom!

Rescued now from hell-fire’s everlasting death
I’m heaven-bound along God’s marvelous grace
Grateful to live for Him, my loving Master…
…serving Him freely!

*Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Premium Member Crossroads of Life

Oh look who toils up yonder hill
Of shoulders stooped and slow of gait
Garments hang off a frame once filled
The body drips with yesterday’s fate

An existence once filled with hate and greed
Ensnared in a mind of ego sense
Attachments and illusions that once took seed
In man’s entrapment - in a fog so dense

Look how he persists to reach the roads
Crawling now in dust and sweat
Unshackling life’s chains as he goes
His saving grace - his terrestrial death

Facing his crossroads - flawed Ego he must lose
A formidable tempt in earthly men
Freeing mental obscuration he must choose
A transcendental state to reach his Zen

Oh look who runs down yonder hill
A liberated awakening for all to see
Freed from dark paths he once did travel
Oh aligned Soul - you are now set free

Footnote - The precepts of the peaceful Dalai Lama, is that Buddhism is not a religion but a way of life.

This is an explanation of Tibetan Buddhism, enlightenment and spiritual rebirth.

Buddhahood is defined as a state free of the obstructions to liberation as well as those to omniscience. When one is freed from all mental obscuration, one is said to attain a state of continuous bliss mixed with a simultaneous cognition of emptiness, the true nature of reality.

In this state, all limitations on one's ability to help other living beings are removed.

Premium Member Beautiful Mystery Wrought By God

So miserable in my wretchedness
I was reached out by God with His mercy
When He offered His precious love’s graciousness
Paid by His blood of divine clemency.

For me to possess life everlasting
Christ sacrificed Himself, tasting death’s gloom
He ransomed my soul; real freedom, granting
Against condemnation-pangs of hell’s doom.

The Lord sought me thru His forgiveness-might
Unshackling my heart from guilt-angst fetters
By His Word that prevails with His truth’s light
He secures my spirit midst sin-twisters.

Such is indeed beautiful mystery
Wrought by God for my faith-blessed victory!*

*1John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Premium Member Frayed Baggage

Frayed Baggage
                 by Odin Roark

Dreamt fields
Where wall-less interiors boast stunning views
Personal vistas of imagination
Requiring only attachments be left behind
The resentful
The angry
The baggage labeled heavy

For just as everyone can’t be
Who or what they think they are
Revelation often becomes frayed baggage of the mind
Clutched with guilty claws
Self-loathing that refuses to heal

Narcissistic defenses
Deliver delusions of grandeur
Driving the moral compass further downward
Where an icy kingdom of vicarious reality
Becomes one’s personal abyss

Such is the plight of a luggage-laden life
One’s weighty attempt to always be part of something
Rejecting being one with the singular self as success

The fortunate abandon that which can’t be changed
Unshackling the drag-behind regrets and disappointments
And breathing in the oxygen of continuance

Discovering closure reveals the eternal opening
The paradoxical passage into meeting
One’s innate traveling companion of wager
The one who travels with toothbrush only
Sharing weightless wins in life
We know not of…

A Solace For My Southern Land

A flaming circle alighted on
fertile soils near a fig tree and
             harbour of hope to savour
                  Struggles for freedom

Love here was arrowed
       steadfast or ephemeral
               I disembarked to open
                    Cultures at deeper dimensions

Mastering spirals of colour
         I soldiered well trod streets
              where priests and imams laced
                   Fingers blessing ardent marches

My soul tussled with unshackling truth
A flat mountain strewn with coral proteas
was my purple majesty to manifest
                   Dreams from fearless courage

In this land of deserts and waves
        Love opened hundreds of doors
to deliver itself in all its splendour
and all its pain as it ignited Divinity

My atoms weaved history and heritage
       traversing an incredulous African reality
where life illuminated piquant fruits of
my own making to relish or relinquish

Embalmed by a Creator who guided
sure footsteps to an axis in a spinning
crystal at Heart’s core where joyful tears
are a solace for my Southern land

                                I return
                    A flaming circle quenched !

Nostalgia

NOSTALGIA

To forget the past
Is to live as a
Tree without roots
To dwell on the past
Is as a tree that does not grow

Nostalgia for a forgotten
Supposed time of joy abounds
When the present displeases
The past is ransacked
And held up as an ideal

Not paying homage to that great age
That time of prosperity
That time when we all got along
Is it seems amnesia gone too far
Despite the mind often creating
A pseudo history
In order to comfort us
From our present misery

Accepting what can’t be undone
Nor recreated shows strength
Moving on from the present
Unshackling oneself from the past
Is a frightful exercise

To imbue one with good feelings
To connect with our history
Is the aim of reminiscing
An endeavor
That benefits us all

The past must never be forgotten
Its story must at times be told
Lessons can be learned
But sadly almost never will

The pickling of a touch
A kiss
An intense yearning
Or loss
Makes yesterday always present with today

We can never forget the past
The intense pressure of
Emotions bubbling within
Will cause a step back in time
That grounds us
And helps us heal

The recycle bin of the mind
Deletes only for a time
Any trauma
That entered our psyche
Will never truly be expunged
Unnecessary memories
Sometimes just refuse to melt away

Some can dwell in the now
And look to both the past and the future
Others can never exit
A state of mind that cannot
Contemplate the present or
Even want a future

We must not forget
We must not hesitate to remember
We must always think of today
Always wondering what the past
Can contribute to our future

Live in the present
Leaf through the pages of history
Expect the future

Premium Member Goodbye and Hello

Goodbye to the echoes of yesterday's past,
To the moments that slipped through my fingers so fast.
To the laughter, the sorrow, the silence, the song,
Each memory is a thread where my soul has belonged.

Goodbye to the faces, both cherished and dear,
To the eyes that have met mine through joy and through fear.
To the stranger's unseen, who have passed on their way,
With stories that will never be told, like the break of the day.

Goodbye to the shadows that clung to my soul,
To the burdens that anchored, to the wounds that took toll.
To the nights that have carried my secrets so deep,
And the mornings that woke me from beautiful sleep.

Goodbye to the judgment, the gossip, the scorn,
To the words that cut deep, to the hearts that were torn.
Yet still, I am softer, not hardened by spite,
For kindness is armor, a shield made of light.

Goodbye to the heartache, the battles I've braved,
To the tears I’ve surrendered, to the love I once gave.
I’m unshackling my spirit, releasing the pain,
Like the calm after storms, I'll grow whole once again.

So, hello to the unknown, the bright and the vast,
To whatever awaits when this moment has passed.
Be it angels or Reaper, with hands reaching out,
I’ll meet them with courage, my heart free of doubt.

Hello to beginnings that stir in the end,
To horizons that stretch and to paths that will bend.
For every goodbye brings a hello in disguise,
A sunrise that blooms where the sunset now lies.

I’m closing this chapter, my soul takes its flight,
With love in my heart, through the darkness, to light.
In the stillness, I’ll whisper, with my final breath,
Goodbye to this life, and hello… to what’s next.

June 5 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Psalms 74-77

Key Verse – Psalm 74:12 For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.

LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY SAVIOUR KING

Lord God, You are my Saviour King…

Thank You for untying me from hell’s chain through Your love’s assistance
Upon Your salvation for my biblical faith’s stance
Unto Your truth, far from unbelief’s chaotic distance.

Lord God, You are my Saviour King…

Thank You for unshackling me from worthlessness by Your deliverance-might
Upon Your precepts always teaching me to walk on paths that are right
Unto Your borders of standards set for spiritual height.

Lord God, You are my Saviour King…
upbringing me around Your blessed covenant
Thank You for unyoking me from troubles that make me wearily pant
Upon Your leadership as my wise Commandant
Unto Your commission I must obey with submission You require and want.

Lord God, You are my Saviour King…
updating me with Your miracles’ wondrousness
Thank You for unclasping me from destruction of selfishness and haughtiness
Upon Your pardon because of Your loving kindness
Unto Your pillars of graciousness I should testify along service-earnestness.

Lord God, You are my Saviour King…
upgrading me through Your granted contentment
Thank You for unbinding me from sin-infirmities by Your mercy’s settlement
Upon Your favour with Your promised fulfillment
Unto Your direction that propels my ministry-involvement.

Lord God, You are my Saviour King…
unfailing is Your goodness that leads me toward Your throne of supplication
Thank You for unburdening me along Your answers to my prayer and devotion
Upon Your altar where I seek You with commitment’s dedication
Unto Your fellowship so I can enjoy bliss of redemption.

Lord God, You are my Saviour King…
uniting me to Your church family
Thank You for unplugging me from worldliness by Your Word steadfastly
Upon Your power for stewardship faithfully
Unto Your glory I exalt honourably.

Premium Member To Be Twice Born

To be twice born, baptised in the current
Dispelling forever, limitation
Truth of clear light dawns, self-luminescent
Thus enabled by God, for co-creation

First step is, fear and desire cessation
Unshackling self from ego sediment
Choosing death by mind vaporisation
To be twice born, baptised in the current

Magnetised emptiness accords consent
To the renewal of bliss ignition
Luminous self revealed, marking ascent
Dispelling forever, limitation

Through night and day, thus in meditation
Darkness recedes, light becomes apparent
Gods hands shape, our divine transmutation
Truth of clear light dawns, self-luminescent

All we do, is make ego decadent
Each node of our form, in celebration
Vibrant with bliss, our native element
Thus enabled by God, for co-creation

Plunge in the void, without hesitation
That the staff of power, be radiant
Ready for reception and transmission
Gods love and light, within ever present
To be twice born

I've remembered how to be,
And recognized it though,
Before I did not dare to see,
That it had not been quite so.

It was I, and I was it,
And me, in neither lie,
Confused I stood to ever sit,
As essence, rather'd die.

Broken boy, battle lost,
Tell-tale acrimony,
Bitter breath, idle cost,
Ancient ceremony.

Until a hero outside met,
That inside I had hidden,
Unknown to self I've ever yet,
Gilded till forbidden.

I broke the yoke,
The ochre choke,
That silent ache unspoken,
Revealed in smoke,
Evoked and woken:
The token of the joke.

Laughter hails in smithereens,
To undue worry, fear, and shame.
Unshackling the in-between,
To play this endless game.

I've remembered how to do it,
Thanks to you, I always knew it.
And together we shall always choose,
To learn to fail to lose.

Premium Member soul’s song

Be mindful of heart contractions
Wary of ego’s distractions
Discard doubt and fear we stand strong
As life rolls on, let’s sing our song

There’s nothing out there, all’s within
Go in hermit, go in, go in
Within heart resounds, God’s bliss gong
As life rolls on, let’s sing our song

Stand firm and erect in life’s storm
We make our touch tender and warm
Leave none behind, take all along
As life rolls on, let’s sing our song

May head and heart act hand in glove
The litmus test is always love
Discern oh hermit, right from wrong
As life rolls on, let’s sing our song

Silence alone can set us free
Unshackling soul from our mind tree
Remove delusion with truth’s tong
As life rolls on, let’s sing our song

Cave of heart is where we belong
As life rolls on, let’s sing our song

Of a Breaking In the Silence

whisper to me in dark places,
unshackling my mute form

revive the thousand voices,
I have sustained in a forever
unspoken and formless
so as to be forgotten,
it was in a night-scape,
the void of sound
negated speech

I break into flight,
with an oath choking
on my first cry

I drift on the hair of my nape,
as the weave of my cloth
spirals, for a moment

as gums bleed out
the rhythm in my shade, refrains

I ask of you,
caress me in a softness
of mourning,
whisper to me of dark places

for now,
I am a broken vow of silence
spoken in a thousand tongues
