I button up my cardigan
The weather's closing in.
I'm follically challenged,
not my hairline, but my skin..

As the clouds begin to gather
and wind whips up to boot..
I twist my collar skyward..
deploy my bumbershoot.

And so.. I hurry past you,
we nod but hardly share
the time of day and just pretend
there's no time left to care.

"Is there fear of being open?"
as enclosure keeps me safe,
Suddenly I'm conscious:
all
these
layers
start to chafe.

Old wounds that pierced my skin
don't need to hide away.
The strangest gift;
these scars;
require the light of day.

But what if..
Summer's sun is early?
A transformation starts..
We feel the authenticity
warming up our Wintery hearts?

For what we crave is
Love.
Acceptance, sister. Brother.
But first we have to open up..
be honest with another.

Feel the raindrops on our skin.
Unbutton the protection.
Release us to the elements of
humanity's affection.

For deep within us all
there's stuff we hide away..
Exposure to the open air
and brightness of the day..

..it might be when the healing starts.
Wind, sun, or snow or rain.
Outside it may be different.
But inside..
we're all the same.

Nature Uncovered

The sun awakens my eyes to a brilliant glow
The morning is precious as the Fall wind blows

I gaze upon the nature before my eyes
The brilliant colors cast all stress and worries aside

For this is a new day filled with opportunities galore.
A time to reflect on life and the beauty it has in store.

To make a difference to those in my inner circle.
To embrace the colors, especially the shades of purple.

To capture the essence of the rain as the smell of nature awakens my mind.
To taste the pure raindrops on the tip of my tongue, a taste divine.

To feel the soft rose petals that bloom in my fingertips
To taste the silky dew as it flows across my lips.

Not An Inch Uncovered

.

As the leaves from the trees
                        in Autumn
                   all over the ground
                not an inch uncovered

                   so my love for you
                     with my fingers
                          my lips
                        my words

not an inch of your body
                        uncovered

The Uncovered

THE UNCOVERED ....

Blunders draped in bundles
of clandestine regalia
Passing each aurora, simmers
obnoxious guilty flames
Seized are its weapons
Silenced is its voice
Water-tight , to the exterior,
Access denied....
Conscience asphyxiated
Stupor it lay , simmering flame
deep inside......
The glittery outside
Embezzlement fills treasures
Tactfully guzzles glorious peace
Marbles conceal the blood
Glitter tantalizing the inner peace
Constellation of cromulent folk!
Tantamount to a golden knife
Sagacious choices crushed,
pulverised under heels
Brushes of pseudo smiles paint
the phoney pictures!
Remorse has gone to retreat
Armageddon struck...
Raging guilt, rising conscience
War they wage as they dare a battle
Before they fall and fade
Muster all might, they burn
Cellars melt to molten
Huge uproar and war cry
Burning splinters!
Cinders remain .....,
as unmasked truth!

Myth Uncovered

To love another more than life itself...

Is sweet bereavement...Sealed within
loves kiss...

...A love so deep...fathomed in oceans...
only truth can find...

A myth uncovered - discovered over time...

...To relish in this beauty...way beyond compare...

...To look into the eyes of an angel...
...Mornings first light...

...We feel with hearts despair...

...For we nurture this...

...This love we believe has found its way here...

...We cherish everyday...
...this love beyond compare...

...Immortal wish bestow...

....For we love in tomorrows tomorrow...

...This life this love we celebrate...

these two souls love has found...

...this life - this love...

...this love itself creates...

Love Uncovered

Your quiet lips were usually closed, except to dear friends.
It was such a pleasure to have gotten to know you.
Even though we were the only group who visited you most often, to us your glib
tongue and bold ways didn't matter.
Our personalities were similar. I appreciated the times we had chatter.
Although our relationship didn't leave you smothered, I was bold enough to get to
know you, draw your heart out, and leave your love uncovered.

Uncovered

Hateful lies-Hiding behind them
Deciet and sneaky tricks
But I can see through it
Unveil the mask
There's no fooling me
you tried-I cracked the code

Uncovered

"Spinning, my world is tripped upon its axis as the feeling you deliver wraps around my mind."

Call it what you must
the ebb and flow
the tide, the tow
your moons inhale my fate

lost breath feelings
dance across my tongue
and I'm tied into you

eyes fade with the face of time
unspoken words illuminate a starlit sky
as my hand slips silently
near your unrest

entwine the night into the day
where freedoms come to play
dream if nots but what shall be
in worlds uncovering

lights grow fast
     hard times bring
      gentle verse
murmured with a smile
a devotee of courage
unafraid
      to reminesce
      to charm
in an innovative
                      form
yes
with an agony of effort
quite so
     an inner change
     a compulsion
        ethereal
an earthbound
               spirit
softened
     in an
          antique outline
discrepancies...yes
      yet measured
      to realise this dream
in beautys bloom
     so delphinium blue
insubstanial in demeanour
yet oh so true
      once faded
      scattered
      still full of style
perceptive emotions lay confused
        restless melting
clearly visible on the brow
age
 in a self portrait
   words
     from yesteryear

Uncovered and Awakened

Beautiful formed creation
Natural and pure at it's beginning
Uncovered and awakened from sleeping under the blanket of darkness

The warmth of the sun rises over the mountains and hill tops
Caressing them to life with the gentle kiss of the wind

The wind blows across the valley through the bushes and grass
causing the motionless statue to sway to it's soft music

Warmth of the sun
Gentle rain
Gentle breeze
Awaken the maple tree from it's dark cold sleep
nurturing it to erect toward the sky in it's strength
In it's prosperity ooze the sweet maple sap that is craved.

Warm of the sun
Gentle rain
Gentle breeze
cascading through the canon
Awaken the deep fountains of life from their dark cold sleep
stimulating them to gush into living streams that the salmon swim up to spawn .

Beautiful formed creation
Natural and pure at it's beginning
Uncovered and awakened from sleeping under the blanket of darkness

Mask Uncovered

Empty she cries
Holding onto the memory
Of everything she lost
She covers her eyes
Not wanting to see
See the person who took her everything
Caused her life to now rest in ruins where it fell
Shivering, cold
She tried to sell her pain
But no one would take a broken soul

Mask uncovered
She sees the thief
Ice blue eyes stare back at her
Twisted in turmoil her tears fall
Looking in the mirror she sees what she has done
Taken her own soul
Crushed it in two
Her destruction at her own hands
Gave up too early
Now nothing can ever be the same
Lost her happiness
To a foolish thought
She lies there and dies
Cold on the floor
She destroyed herself
And so much more

Uncovered (Round Two)

Another urgent breath upon your neck,
While contemplating your supportive wrap,
Looking over shoulders relieved of straps,
Giving your spectacles another check.
Before I deliver another peck,
Fingers and thumb press to create a trap,
Techniques that make fingers and fabric snap,
As the floor and the fabric have a wreck.
On your sides, my hands slide down to your waist,
Feeling fabric stitched with a lace so fine,
Using my thumbs to assist it with haste,
Pulling down to uncover your tan lines,
Finally preparing to test your taste,
While savoring the chance to make you mine.
