A Dark Reflection
We are all hunters masked by Usernames and Handles
We capture the moments that eventually become rambles,
In our history of past and prehistoric posts that puncture
We yearn for likes and loves this desperate hunger,
Snap, Send, Screenshot,
Snap, Screenshot, Send,
We Filter others criticism and replace with illusions
Of the authenticity for that is pure delusion,
We change too much for others and our minds have altered
Our lack of consistency has been far too relevant,
Repost, Retweet, Republish,
Retweet, Republish, Repost,
The fragment of life caught in a picture is like a pet
We use it for laughter and love our needs are completely met,
We conceive Stories made of hopeful bliss
Alone we are sucked of joy like a dementors kiss,
Unfollow, Unfriend, Block,
Unfriend, Unfollow, Block,
We streak the social media universe with Hashtags and Vines
Our time deteriorates forever declined,
Although these platforms offer sorrows that are deadly
They also bring joy in a harmonious medley,
Look, Like, Love,
Like, Love, Look,
It connects through light boxes around the earth
Showing us an unimaginable worth,
It links us through the vast and titanic interwebs
It brings light and sight while dejection ebbs,
Friend, Follow, Forget
Friend, Follow, Forget
We fathom the magnitude of what it means to be a friend
We never meet we never eat we just like to play pretend,
Will it ever end
Missing links and broken ties our normal obstruction
Movie dates and walks in the park will help our construction,
We can build a better Story.
Follow me on twitter
We don’t know where we‘re going
yet all we ever want is followers
A simple case of the sightless leading the blind
Into the light less than progressive.
So you can follow me on twitter that’s something I can handle
They told me the more followers I get
The more popular I become
This popularity doesn't pay it’s all just for fun.
Fake believers who retweet
call me sweet
in all my tweets
but never recognise me on the streets.
If they do check it on your timeline
“just saw hash tag one of my followers”.
What are we leading each other into?
Aren't we supposed to socialise and network instead of telling lies on social networks?
Sharing videos of how hoes twerk.
The pictures we post for every instant move we make,
I bought new shoes click send
We downing some booze click send
Yow check out her boobs click send
Then the things that make us sick trend.
Nude disgusting pictures of how chicks bend.
And the pretentious selfies with that fake friend.
Moving images of things we dream about,
posing next to things we only see around,
Live without and but always in the background.
Follow me on twitter
I don’t know where I’m going but I just want some followers.
Leading each other into darkness with ignorance.
If I don’t ever follow back pardon the arrogance
All the things we posting up show no such intelligence.
Tapping on keypads tap tap into direct messages,
Tap tap in a follower’s bed…
Is that where this following leads to, tap tapped.
Riding each other like on horse saddles
From these lame so called handles
We sell our souls from data bundles.
All for a popularity contest with a prize none of us know
Like leading each other in the dark with blown out candles
Making each one bitter
Via these demons.
Instagram, Facebook, BBM, and twitter.

ORIGINAL LYRICS BY BOBBY DAY (ROCKIN' ROBIN)
I wish I had a pill to forget the wicked words
that some have said.
And put away from memory the vile scripts
that I have read.
I always hoped when in my prime
I would be unable to sustain.
Those heinous thoughts which lie freakishly
appendaged to my brain.
These words I know and hopefully never use
still sit overripe and beg for my attention.
Should I lose my temper and emotions rage
and spew their sad redemption.
Knowing I will be eternally judged
on but a single thought or word.
And be forever sentenced to a life
where the scrutiny of dregs will long occur.
And in a moment of Human weakness
should I stumble at Heaven's door.
Will God and Twitter offer a tacit forgiveness
for my uttering of a word we all abhor?
But from what I've seen... something weakly said
can never be taken back.
As the fiendish hounds on a demented Twitter
enjoy blood stained euphoria in their attacks.
Let the person free of earthly sin be brought forth
to cast at me their hellish stone.
And in an ever lasting judgement take from me
the sixty years of kindness I have shown.
Or am I wrong? Does some gentleness thrive?
Are there people who feel less depraved and bitter?
Yes. It is my guess... they do exist...
They're just far too smart to be on Twitter.

*For those who are interested. I will be posting my cartoon 'Bob's your Uncle' on my homepage. A new one will appear every second day.
Elon Musk has more money than brains
So he plays with space rockets, not trains
And now he can tweet
That Trump can't be beat
Since he traded his Sharpies for crayons
Voices twitter in the ear,
welcome ones,are some,
junk voice is sometimes insincere,
till coded references come,
the one you know does venture near,
the veil has parted some...Don
Thank you Mystic Rose xox
Listen to your voices hey,
ignore the rubbish ones,
you know the ones that are sincere,
when useful thought doth come...
Twitter, just like Facebook, is also the best social networking website of all time.
Twitter.com has been part of the social media since the day one guy founded Facebook and
the people have found MySpace and YouTube. Everybody's posting their tweets on their
Twitter accounts, including me. Also, there's a lot of celebrities that are on Twitter
every single day: celebrities like Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams, Selena Gomez, the
Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels, Ru Paul, and others. Nickelodeon also has its own Twitter
account and one too many tweets. Even the hit TV show, "Braxton Family Values," with the
Braxton sisters, each have their own Twitter profile. The reason why Twitter.com is also
considered the most popular social networking website is because of the news, politics,
music, pop culture, and stuff. Everybody wants to be a part of the conversation on
Twitter, especially when they're talking about their favorite professional athletes like
Le Bron James, Shaq O'Neil, Tony Romo, and other athletes nationwide. It's good enough
that all of us are of Twitter.com every single day, just like Facebook and MySpace. Like,
for when I log on to my Twitter account, I'm following almost everybody, including wwe.com
and Teen-Nick. Everybody also has one too many tweets and followers on Twitter. We all
love going on Twitter.com, especially when we're posting comments on our Twitter profiles,
posting videos on Twitter courtesy of YouTube.com, or whatever. Social networking has done
it. and if Twitter.com were to remain the social networking website, along with
Facebook.com, that would be very awesome. I wonder if everyone will follow me on Twitter?
A frosty whitewash, whirling winter snow
smoothly shrouds a secret silent slumber.
Skies all awake, flying mosaics of row
music chirps cavort the sunset amber.
Gelid air turfs, chilled in birds of wonder
gliding through miles, unknown lands asunder.
Crackling wings flutter, snuggling in romance.
Distant forage calls, "Move till Sun is back".
Searching lakes and meadows, looks not askance.
Soaring high they perch, steer and gear in stack.
Feet tucked in wings, they roost in adhoc shack.
Coats, scarves, gloves, plummets an echelon track.
Cardinals and Bluejays, plump with fork tails.
Martins, Owls, Robins, in chorus engage.
Lens of cameras spy, beaks, wings and scales.
Moulting leafless trees, flamboys in plumage.
Willow, alder, birch, dark eyed Juncos stage.
Seeds and nuts in tree crevices, cold assuage.
Hope surviving Life....as Twitter migrates

HOW THE POEM HELPED ME GROW
As a beginner to the world of poetry, I always thought that sonnets were something very very difficult only to written by people as talented as Shakespeare. This was my first attempt to write a sonnet. For one whole week, I read all details about migratory birds, and almost gained an encyclopedia of knowledge. First time i realized how difficult it was to limit your thoughts to syllables and lines, and I struggled for another week to find and use correct words, counting syllables. The poem didn't get placed, but it gave me lot of confidence to attempt writing other forms of poems.

DODOITSU-A ALBERTINE GOODBYE a delicate petalled rose/
flutters slowly from on high,/upon the green sward,to lie-/dying sans a sigh
I am
silver silk, brown eye-shadow, pink shoes.
Blue kitchen. I mean sad. Missing you.
I am
broad bed, tv-tower, your mail.
Check-ins, flights. Staying high all day.
I am
french fries, nightmares, hair-cuts.
No coffee, no tea, no sluts.
I am
"please, go", "please do", "please, wait".
I am
"no way", "seriously", "sounds great".
I am
on-line, next month, last week.
I am
tag, no hide-and-seek.
I am
colour ink nail polish, no watch.
Blue eyes. I mean sad. Twitter notch.

I wonder if King Donald
is an unhappy reincarnation of King George,
and now is his time to take back the royal throne
to get even with the common people
and those who would be their eyes
and ears
and noses,
smelling something rotten.
