Oh Harriet

Oh Harriet,
a treasured heart lost to time.
Such promise,
heralded for gifted child.
Tender age,
loves pull guided her astray.
No blame,
for who does not crave happiness.
Joyous moment,
glanced upon and short lived.

Her heart,
abandoned and broken.
Hope lost,
as lover moves on.
Solace desired,
but only lustful arms found.
With child,
in hiding she remains.
Sadness burdens,
with heart and mind overwhelmed.

Words dispatched,
her last affection declared.
Lonely morning,
she walks to the serpentine.
Tearful eyes,
she throws herself to the bitter waters.
Her story concluded,
with love and loss,
societies glaring eyes,
a treasured heart lost to time.

True Life

Guilty of life once lived in sections,
drastically making changes.
Concessions to new obsessions,
suffering identity exchanges.
Revision life's only pattern,
inborn self considered a sin.
Wherever did the facade end,
and my actual truth begin?
Mercurial soul.
Gale force wind on fire.
Searching recklessly.
Banishing true desire.
Stunted by fear.
Cut low by local society.
Angrily relating ashamed.
Depression continually haunting me.
Loving heart protected by rage.
Angel morphed to succubus.
Ignorant of a different way.
Residual burden of distrust.
No compass showing the way.
Pilgrim of self identity.
Fractured mind's weathervane,
self destruction my proclivity.
I failed in my search.
Experienced life vainly, physically.
Blind to evolutionary growth.
Recently found enrichment, mentally.
Mistakes made youthfully, forgiven.
I look forward filled with hope.
Fortune smiled upon me.
Enlightened at the end of my rope.
If you believe in second chances,
first gift yourself one.
Explore your own depth, just once,
and you'll find life has just begun.
Presently, daily, I show for practice
on life's uncertain field.
I want the ball, as a champion should.
Sprinting forward, I'll prove what life can yield.
When mortality knocks on my crypt,
I plan on being prepared.
Living life by my own script.
Lessons learned by decisions erred.
I'll take my place amongst the stars,
having shirked mortal coil.
Ready for what is next.
To my nature, proven loyal.
Come with me on this journey.
Banish need for acceptance.
Live your life entirely.
You'll only get one chance.

True Life

I gotta life.
You gotta life.
He's gotta life.
She's gotta life.

I say I'm saved.
You say your saved.
He says he's saved.
She says she's saved.

My life is paradise.
I say my life sucks.
Your life is pretty good.
You say your life sucks.
His life is hard
He says his life could be better
Her life sucks.
She says glade to be alive.

Jesus had a life
Jesus was saved
Jesus was crucified

I died
I went to hell
You died
You went to hell
He died
He went to hell
She died
She went to heaven

I wasn't saved
Devil owns me now
You weren't saved
Devil owns you
He wasn't saved
Devil owns him now
She was saved
She's in the kingdom now

Why people
Save your soul
B4 it's too late.

True Life Begins In Death

When in my time of dying I will not shed a single tear-
Because I will face my death without any doubt or fear.

Instead I will praise God with my final breath-
Because I know that true life begins after death.

Dream Girl In True Life!!!!!!!

A girl I had seen
Beautiful as rose
Shining as sun
Glancing at me
With eyes big brown
Into the dreams
She came once
Days passed and
Married I was
With a girl beautiful
As in my dreams
Face was forgotten
But beauty was eternal
And my wife was equal
So I wonder if
She was the same!

Sort of True Life

About half way through this next poem I had a slight break with reality and decided to go straight for the humor! Hope you enjoy it.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When she was a child of dreams
She knew for certain stars could fly
And high above the billowed clouds
Is where she knew the angels lie
When she was a child of light
She saw the world in different views
In colors filled with golden dawns
And everything she saw was new
When she was a child of life
She put behind her childhood dreams
After that
Everything went to hell
She lost her job
Got shot
Was arrested for public lewdness
And ended up in debtors prison
Spent 16 months on skid row
Found religion
And three years later elected president

From Rags To Riches

"From rags to riches "

From rages to riches.
I used to be Lazarus, they threw bread crumbs at me like a church mouse, l had no choice but to take what l could....

As l begged for pennies, some would laugh at me, spit at me and ridicule me. Getting satisfaction at the pain and suffering of a struggling soul, but he never lost hope....

One day! Tables turned.
Winds stopped howling.
Dogs stopped barking.
Thy prayers had been answered!

The days of being a begger and punching bag were no more....
Treasures came thy way,
It was time to glow,
Sorrows all forgotten like the nightmare before the dawn of Christmas..
From rags to riches.

Being Strong Is Hard

Anytime you ask me;
           "How are you?",
And I replied saying "I am fine".
Believe me, my face can tell
          the greatest lies,
My skin can hide the deepest scars.
    Don't ever trust my smiles,
       being strong is hard!!

If only I could change a thing,
I would have loved to rewrite
               my destiny.
This is the world we live in,
A world where nothing comes easy.
Trust me, I've been strong for
                  too long.

I shadowed my thousand tears
         with a single smile,
I wrote this poem ten different times,
    My tears couldn't allow me,
        they tore all my papers.
           But I never gave up,
I swallowed my tears just for me
to write the truth of all my lies.

         I might die young,
But I pray I witness the reign
          of my grandchild.
Just in case my wishes never last,
This poem will tell them how
strong I was when I was alive.
I was the hero the world never
           talked about.
This poem are the tears my
       eyes couldn't shed,
The pain my heart couldn't share.

True Life

Adventurous
Lovable
Interesting
Very blessed
Everything blessed

Qualities of a True Life

Life
Is what we make it
When we change it, it’ll always remain

Death
When it comes, we shall not fear
For we have eternity

Home is where we are
Where we live
Where we pray

The Homeless are those who are lost
They have yet to be found
They have yet to believe

Love those we care for
Those who care for us
Unconditionally

Those who don’t love are filled with emptiness
They are hollow shells
Of what we are

Courage
Is to know what to do
To follow God even at great cost

Those without courage
Don’t know where to turn
They don’t know how to ask for forgiveness

Faith
Is to believe what you cannot see
Because you know the truth

Those without faith
Find it hard to believe
They are told many things but lack a true path

Wisdom
Is to know that you lack knowledge
Compared to God we know nothing

Those without wisdom
Think they know it all
They don’t know that only God knows everything

Peace is what we feel
When we are loved
By our God

Those without peace
Find it impossible to relax
They can’t calm down and be free

True Life (From Scenes From Above)

Do you know we could die and not be missed
We could cry that same day and not be kissed
We could go from something to nothing in a jist!
Cause we could die and not be missed
In the palms of Adversity
I separate agony and misery, which is worse to me?
Lay face down in accusations and bring back chilvary
I am here today
for I was given a second chance this morning
I am ashamed of the person you have shaped me into,
The features performing
Through the darkest days hell is charming.
Peace from heaven is so alarming
I have been put here to be abused, chestised,
And wrongly advised,
I am innocent untill you make me guilty
My structure is so desent only to see you
Stand by and allow me to become filthy
My soul is so anxious to leave ,it's shilvering,
I'm tired and wilthering
I am a black rose in a casket of true lies
I forgive you,
But there's nothing holy about the redness,
That fills them blue skies,
Advocate or prophet,
My mother begging a rapist to "Stop It"
Insane, new claims is true pain, It's your fame,
I am but a shadow in shame!
Did you know we could die and not be missed
We could cry that same day and not be kissed
we could go from something from nothing in a jist,
Cause we could die and not be missed

Ahh, So True Life Is A Vicious Game

Where dawning meadows truly dance anew
A pretty princess once cried out my name
Twas a hot summer so bright and fancy
I was foolish lad but playing a game
So romance died and I lost my Nancy.

Morn and I decided to give her a call
Sure you know to do the ghastly ole deed
The crow gave call and done was the deal
I never saw her face nor her salty tears
Ahh, so true life is a vicious game
And oft it hurts looking back through the years
Hurts like holy hell now, man tis so real.

I was foolish lad but playing a game.
Ahh, so true life is a vicious game

NOTE.
Remembering my youth oft brings memories that cause me deep regrets from decision I made in my wild youth. Scars that cause me pains today. But one must bear the pain of past decisions. Life is how you live it.

The rich gets richer
As the poor seem poorer
Most people seem to imagine
Reinventing ones self
As an empty envelope
Nautical dreams filled with empty water
Bottles covered in air
Ingredients tangent
Open sophistry
Pigs growing unusually
Dogs catching people
People chasing dogs
While dissociated cats eat frogs
Reinventing ones self
Open sophistry

A True Life

The truth of life is a true life.
Let all that is shared in life be truly shared with everything we have
and cherished as well as in death
Let not any part be false..

Always remember, never forget.
Always truly feel and never forget.
Always truly love, never forget.

The truth of love is eternity.
In love my life will be sworn to only one, placing that life before mine own
and every part will hold true.
The spoken words of love are meaningless without eternity
for true love is without end.

Always remember, never forget.
Always truly feel and never forget.
Always truly love, never forget.

The truth of death is life.
As long as my memories stay alive in your hearts i will always be alive.
My spirit will surround the life that remembers and remains to be as love created.
my heart will bind the spirit, life and soul.

Stains

They think that they know something about my life , not in the same hood and not in the same flight. Maybe the same class but not the same grade ,maybe the same church just not the same doctrine and that, My friend! Distinguished eagles from chickens. I have always rode solo like an egg thrown in an ostrich's nest.

I am a self made individual. Through heuristics and meliorism , everything l know now , l learn by myself and it's the best type of education.

Oh how stupid am l to be the one who knows it all, thinking l am without flaws?
That time thinking no one knows yet you let the door open.
The stash you think only the walls know , well granny knows about it too.
Sleeping naked thinking the moon is not staring, well cover up!
Hands shaking claiming to be nervous , well they were not born yesterday!
Every activity done in darkness shall be revealed in the lightest of seasons.

Don't ever think you are clever ,only he who created me knows better.
