Trepidation
One second I am watching
Typing.

Why did you leave?

(hello)
I feel empty.
My keyboard is humming
stop
Trepidation
I look forward to today
stop
Trepidation
I keep telling myself it’ll get
better.
Once I’m
grown.
Insufferable silence
Leaves the mind derelict of all thoughts
Suspended in motion
Yet time cannot be caught
Reaching—
For something,
For anything,
fingertips grasping at the warmth of a moment
already lost.
(Click. Click. Click.)
The keys whisper secrets I cannot decipher,
a language of absence.
A breath, a blink,
a flicker.
but this time, I catch it.
Hold it
Steady.
stop
(swallow)
Let it settle
Trepidation
Minutes pass
Hours
I forgot to check your

I felt, better.
Not whole, not fixed,
but lighter.
Settling in

. . .
(say something)
(why do you do this?)
A deep breath.
A stretch of fingers
The weight is still there,
but it shifts,
just enough.

. . .
I was just thinking.
(gulp)
(exhale)
For the first time in days,
the air doesn’t feel heavy.
The world
softens.
The static
quiets.
This time,
I let the light in.
Trepidation
I push my chair back,
feet hitting the floor,
real, solid.
Step forward.
The hallway is warm,
bathed in a glow I didn’t notice before.
The clock keeps ticking,
but it no longer mocks me.
A sip of water.
A stretch.
The weight of the day does not crush me.
Not today.
For the first time in a while,
the silence is not so empty.
I take another breath.
And this time,
I don’t hold it in.
The curse of an
inflated imagination.
An escarpment of thought
in a blistering mind.
An invasion of insolence
amidst a tempest-tossed
cacophony
of mewling memories.
A throat restricting,
heart galloping,
and eyes trembling.
A voiceless scream for help.
A crouching body
in cold defeat.
A quivering being,
gasping for an
exasperating breath.
Then, a ferociously seized breath -
transplanted
from an enchained soul,
gives birth to grave apathy.
A silent tear dissipates
into an endless ocean
of trepidation.
The ant is one who works all day
and barely sleeps at night
Seldom is he, if ever
fearful of an unjust or a losing fight
He lives to serve a queen
and she he seldom sees
but he is hers in mind and soul
to do with as she please
She dictates and rules to all her breed
with a simple yes or no
for she is the queen and her word is law
this we all know to be so.
But the queen behind her mask she sneers
at the knave of an ant and all his peers
who work all day and through the night
and fight the battle of a losing fight
and believe that because of her
what they do is right
Yes, we are all like ants one and all
constantly ignorant of our own minds' call.
Upon the paper the pen bleeds, casting its sullen gaze upon the ideals of its mere existence. Trying to unravel the mystery of its being. Uncovering the wisdom locked inside of its core, threatening to overheat and cause a meltdown the pen cannot overcome.
In times of raw emotional imbalance a window of understanding illuminates the veil of protection our ideals protect us from. Seeing its truth can undo the thin fabric of wisdom sought, making all for naught. Letting the art consume you until nothing remains.

great trepidation
vulture soars on wind currents..
ominous dark clouds
Mind races endlessly
Need decision now
Only one direction possible
Possibilities endless
Quorum of the mind, heart, soul, and gut is hung on the moment.
Upon the earth we dwell what lies beneath our feet
It’s the lake of fire and its blistering hot heat
If you could look in the devil's eyes of desire
He would cast all of mankind in the fire
On a sinner's deathbed looking withered and frail
When one burns one will be bald, dead, bloated, and pale
Before then he would grip one's soul on one's passing bell
To drag a damned soul beneath the crusts of hell
It is so damn hot in hell to take a breath
That it can make the soul suffocate to death
That is the understatement so do not forget
That it is an eternity in hell you would always regret
Track: Vigil LIVE (Killadelphia) - Lamb of God
It was in reach for,
a chilling sensation.
A flame of the moon.
The world shrinks.
You become ready
for the direst consequences.
You deserve to be hurt
in the arms of truancy,
without a trace of remorse.
The wounded breast.
It wanted to disappear?
and come back in dark.
Frozen, the repeat hymn.
It lives in my heart.
How can I forget you,
O, my tormentor !

Society’s lethal expectations stalk private yearns
They creep and stab at me in an eye of lust and vehemence
Emergent and muscular, they attack Akeley and fizz with amusement
Looming in clouds of filthy fever they suffocate.
Omnipotent and all-seeing, these demands haunt every corner of relief
They’re always watching—waiting for my eminent self destruction.
Her look said much thou she in essence hid a lot
Her look had an accusation that did set me aback
Her manner one of one in great internalized turmoil
Her demeanor said she has been thru pretty much
It was plain and apparent she needed to find someone
Not just a solid shoulder to lean on that at the moment
I offered a hug that offers a reprieve but not yet near
Near enough for what she is desperately seeking be-love?
Is it that someone who will appreciate her un swayed?
Neigh seeking what she has to offer and non-judgmental
She prays but not with words that she will meet one
Who is like her in demeanor and compliments her
One who will swear by the stars and believe in her
Love will sure find her she believes and she is so ready
Her eyes linger on mine seeking me out and bidding
Bidding her time in the hope and knowledge that
We two are star struck star-seeds seeking out for more
More than what the lay can offer much more and yet more
She does a little dance with little motivation and no energy
I promise silently I will find you but as at this moment cheri
I have a performance to finish on this dais you see me on
I then do go on with my performance but leave not my mind
Does she I know that later on I will find her and get to know her
Better hopefully fate has blown the right one my way this time thou'
Maybe just maybe cud it be she is the one my happily ever after luv
Maybe fairly tales do come true and a damsel in distress that av met
May just become the Cinderella to love happily ever after till eternity

Conical pillars,
Hanging...trembling...from the cave:
Sweating out of fear.
My eyes scan the telegraph wires from station to station,
Drink the bleeding sundown in a thirst for information,
Search the grainy distance for some glimpse of destination,
And close against the fear of love in earnest trepidation.
I feel the worry smite my bones with sickly dislocation,
Twist the sinews viciously and howl in consternation,
Pull the protein particles from blood of my salvation,
And crush my heart defiantly in jaws of desolation.
I shovel dirt upon the past and curse it's ruination,
Once buried it still rises with renewed annihilation,
And thus parades it's cruelty at every new location,
And drains the life right out of me with power drill damnation.
Please comprehend that I am weak from such exsanguination
And patiently abide with me through self repatriation,
For I can tell you honestly with little contemplation,
You, my single saviour, my truest adoration.
My head is spinning my heart is racing
I think of you, I think of her
I just don’t know what to do
My heart is torn in two - my mind is so confused
I think about the ocean and the moon
There is so much to see and so far away
I’m drowning, I can’t breathe, I can’t see
I lay at the bottom of the sea; I try to reach for the moon
I want to hold you, I want to hold her
I fear your love I fear her love
I fear my future with you – with her
without you, without her
But I can’t feel, I can’t see, I can’t breathe
It s too much for me It’s too much for you
It’s too much for her
My head is spinning my heart is racing
I feel no pain, I feel no emotion,
I feel the warmth, I feel the cold
I feel the wind that is beneath my soul
I’m soaring, I’m running, I’m just so damn confused
What do I do about her, what do I do about you
I can’t I won’t I am too weak
Nothing is in reach - Nothing is in sight
I chose this path of uncertainty
Of misguided love
Of broken promises
Broken hearts
Domination, fear based station,
intimidation, seeks trepidation.
agitation, heated conversation.
Ignore. Be patient.
