Best Traverse Poems
Haunting and haunted,
These visages with lacy, saponaceous curds
Depending and plummeting,
Do I on the pebbled porcelaneous integument
Of the whitish shower floor scrawl.
I wonder, as frothy masses of foamy, bubbled soap
In the shower traverse mine body and ripple and course
Undulant across my sinews, driven by the pound and pour of the
Plunging, cascading cataract of pressurized shower water....
I wonder, I mull and I ponder over the
Accounting, the tally, the sum total of those
Ephemeral faces by soap and pressured water engendered:
Those ghastly and spectral faces which precipitate
Diluted, water-blasted soaps have, in
Soppy, splashy, soap-lashing
Depositions on that pebbled floor atop of which I stand
(Or did when the inspiration for this poetical work mine
Did, whilst erectly bathing, occur to me)
Yet how many multitudes of these
Through the course my myriad bathings and showerings;
How many of those horrid, demonical, haunting and haunted
Physiognomies did I of a moment
Indirectly will, if you will, into being-
Even whilst the shower coursed pluvial and pouring waters thundered all around?
Like travellers,
We cross this arid land
Aiming at the city of rest.
As we traverse the landscapes
We may, of a truth, sully our feet
With besetting dust of sin
But we must from time to time
Remember Calvary, the place of cleansing
Where mercy flows immeasurably
We go through marketplaces
Let’s be pleased with divine supplies
Lest we are tangled with vanities of life
We faint many a time
But we are resuscitated; we move on
We despair not.
We shall win!
We are soldiers in the warfare
Let’s fight, holding onto the cross
Finally
someone who understands me
Leaves me breathless
doesn't tease me endless
I think
The way that they are
I am quiet
They are far
I think
The way that I am
I feel dry
I think of my humor then
Tempo
I think it is ending
I wanted to find you
I am left standing
Quite peculiar
the notion that you are
so turned on by the touch of a spirited ring
Quite a fling
Quite
I think
I know you are so much devoted
to the life of the noted
Like me
You are free from the restless tree
dominatrix
how dare you mate this
Make me
I think of all the things that take me
By surprise I am taken
I think you like me
but then again fake me
the thing is so do other lies
they make me do all kinds of breaking ties
I think
Therefore I cry
I think therefor...I die
Trust me
I think it is something so lust me
I think
Verb me
I have nothing to add here,
squirt me
I think
Therefore you are defient
I am
Therefore you are such a client
I like the way you think
I like the way you breath
I think...wait that is not the thing
I wanted
I quite am exhausted.
There is a fierce battle raging in realms unseen of tremendous force
Know that all occurrences are planned and preordained on this magnificent course.
We are spirits within a body, a spirit entangled with a soul.
As we traverse this life day by day, as a rose, our lives do unfold.
The Sunrise of a Nevermore
David J Walker
From here the sunsets closer than ever before
The deep rays quicken long-off memories
Removed to the distant shore
The fabled days of youth are no more
As I turn and realize
The light in my eyes
Was once the sunrise
Of an opening door
That I have traversed
But never more
My parched wasteland waits
The rains love makes would come soon
Spread a green meadow
I would traverse to reach you
In the moist depth of my heart.

Let my mind traverse
round the universe
to find this life's essence
Let it cross the stunning falls
whose attitude never falls,
that abrades the mountain walls.
Let it discretely stand,
on the desert's sand
and inhale its strength grand
Let it flow along with river
the all time giver,
that jubilantly delivers.
Let it mingle with the sea,
the eternal splendor to see
let it glide along and get freed...
In the long shadows of the evening, I traverse the desert of the soul,
Lost in the silence of thoughts, we meet ourselves,
And in that sacred space, where silence intertwines with desire,
We discover the truth of solitude, carried by the echo of the heart.
The wind whispers tales of arms that no longer embrace,
Of healed souls that no longer fit the patterns of pain,
In a world bearing hidden scars, where bonds are formed
On foundations of suffering, seeking healing in the other instead of peace.
We find ourselves alone not from lack, but from an abundance of self,
In a reality where silence becomes our shield,
Seeking a love that knows no compromise, only truth,
The euphoric bond that clothes us in authenticity and righteousness.
It is a paradox of our times, where 90% of connections
Are webs woven from the thread of pain, two halves searching,
Not to complete each other, but to stick together, fragments of souls
Ruptures that unite in the search for an illusory whole.
And thus, the healed remain alone, seeking in silence
That soul that asks not for healing, but only pure love,
In a world struggling to acknowledge its wounds,
We, the healed, embrace our solitude as a divine gift.
Each moment of solitude becomes a cathedral of introspection,
Where we meet our true self, mirrored in silence,
And in that infinity of thoughts, we discover that love
Is not a refuge of pain, but a celebration of healing.
Let this truth sink deep, carving into consciousness,
For healed solitude is a sanctuary of the soul,
A place where peace and true love find their home,
In a world still learning to embrace healing.
We blindly traverse life’s vicissitudes,
Upheavals and harmony
An odyssey in search of love,
Beauty, truth and happiness
Lamented in moments of sorrow
Euphoric in joyous bliss
Recorded in hours, days and years
Till hands of death bring to cease.
Scaling my legs through woods,
Seducing the forest's hood.
Let the journey saunter to me,
Let me traverse.
That land bewitched with luxury,
Heightened pleasures and glowing glory.
His hewn by the hand of my forefathers.
Let me traverse.
The path that leads there,
Is laced with broken bottles and loosed hair.
Many opposition and thriving treacherers.
Wouldn't let me traverse.
Trucks of bilated prejudice.
Ocean of confusion drown me like a dice.
By what now will i rise?
Let me traverse.
Does the lion feed on air,
When they're presence of hare?
How will i continue being a savage here,
When all my goodness are there?
Oh,i want to advance.
Let me traverse!
I wake up
and found it
a burning.
To light my
way at least
to travel.
Hence to where
I can find
that tis proofs.
Cupid wrote their love story
With a quill from an angel’s wing
In an Astral realm, to traverse
through celestial skies.
An Enterprise that belonged to Angel’s
with anger now, she exercised a most
pernicious influence over him
and locked him up in a cloud
as she stood sentry
with a blemish of a missing quill.
An elegant angular visage of an Angel
Who mocked Cupid’s very vision
Till his arrow struck with a flash of light
To Dampen the Angels resolve
And allow love to be blessed
With showers from open skies.

In the world of shadows, I traverse unknown paths,
Where the murmur of time is born and dies,
Faces that do not know the madness of dreams,
Walk firmly on the ground of forgetfulness,
Like rain falling on the deaf roof of a house
In a monotony without song or color.
I wonder, with a trembling heart,
What it's like to live without the explosion of colors,
Without getting lost among the stars,
To dance on the edge of a thought
That knows neither beginning nor end,
Just an endless string of unfulfilled dreams.
In quiet corners of the universe,
Souls clutch banality in their fists,
They have not known the madness of boundless love,
That madness that makes you howl at the moon,
To laugh at nothing, to cry without reason,
To run into the arms of the wind like a leaf carried by longing.
What lives must those people carry,
What lands of monotony fill their steps,
What dreams hide in their eyes
That have never sparkled like lightning,
On a summer night when everything comes alive
And madness spreads its fiery wings.
Ah, what cold emptiness they carry in their chests,
Like a smooth stone, without cracks,
Through which light might enter warmly,
And how to be without drowning
In the waves of doubt and reaching
Unexplored shores, where dreams take shape.
Their happiness, a monotonous song,
A refrain repeated without echo,
But I, I choose to get lost among the stars,
To fall into the abyss of my own thoughts,
There where madness carves its path,
Like a wild river that knows no other way but forward.
In my systematic dreams dissension
As gargoyles front and flank In deception, Oh! did I mention
Floating in the skies those lost balloons
Those non frequent flyers poise to rise toward the moon
Sunflowers and tangerine dream's frightening crabgrass
Thickets and thorns weeds growing covering the tulips
Frightened fragrant graphite before the rain
Covers the grasses and dew mornings just before the hurricane
Traverse the coarse where is the realities going
Fig leaf green with envy Mystikal skyscrapers castles
Traverse the cause of man unwritten brawls
Who are we to say that we create
When are filthy souls are filled with disdain and hate
Traverse the coarse where's reality going?

Could we dampen her enthusiasm by calling her out?
Possibly, so we were silent as she told us of her astral travels.
Does she traverse galaxies at night during her REM sleep?
A visage of cheerfulness greets us as she tells the tales.
Is it pernicious to allow here these liberties or wise?
As her parents, are we to be a sentry to every thought she has?
If we speak, or quell her enthusiasm, will her imagination be altered?
She is but a child. We do not want to blemish her freedom of thought.
My husband starts to speak but I clear my throat in warning.
We will speak of this well into the night, an enterprise I welcome.
