Best Titania Poems
"Kris Kringle Kisses Kalliope"
A Dream: the 4th Christmas.
deck the halls
with memories
poets whisper pasts
that are ne’er forgotten
where presents
a life
that’s neatly wrapped
and attempts at
frostily forgotten
tucked under
that big
beautiful
green fir tree
where all the dreams
of poets go
gold starred, tinselled
and angel mounted
ripe cherries
kissed
crassly
under mistletoe
Ah Christmas
capture me up
in your safe
magic arms
let me sip
the nectar from
your sweet eggnog cups
like Puck’s flower flows
on sultry lips
and eyelids
“love-in-idleness”
"The juice of it
on sleeping eyelids laid
will make man
or woman
madly dote
upon the next
live creature
that it sees”
poet or pup
crimson berries crushed
against a velvet tongue
bedazzled and
bewitched
fires crackling
logs like legs
drop and wrap around
the flames
while in my dreams
I await beneath
the sugar coated
blankets of a bed
charmed by snowflakes
dusting houses in a row
through misted windows
where “paper people....
dream
their cardboard dreams”
“how unreal
the whole thing seems
can we be living in a world
that is made of paper mache?
Everything is clean
and so neat
anything that is wrong
can be just swept away”
inside is very still...
not shaken
like a snowglobe -
surreal
damned be
the dams of
Love-in-Idleness
where eyes reflect
your shadow
in my dream
like opium smoke
across cracked glass
remember how we
all once were
some beautiful happy
if we could just pull the chord
so fresh out of ...
class
rewind our time
rewind it
to yesterday
like a toy
across the
ocean bobbing
like a buoy
an Iceberg keens and cries
Nutcracker twirls
Sugarplum
Kris Kringle Kisses
Kalliope
Oberon...
reals
Titania in
Slo mo’
Magic
mmm
Romance
lacy
frosty
melting
snow.
An iceberg cries
in time with
Christmas eyes

"Light Kissed"
Light kissed her through the veil
Come tempest on the beach of morning sun
With Gold on your naked feet
Life has again for you begun
Like waves to shore
You’ll meet my kiss
Slow and full
Wet succulent with salty bliss
And more my sweet
The Realm of Long Forgotten Love
Like Dark Green Ivy
Life has renewed growth
covers your ground stony,
it’s swift and powerful runs
o’er Wet Green Irish Moss
While Briny Blue and Amythest Periwinkles blink
and Emerald Green Abalone and Black Bearded Lips open
to sweet salt the wounds in
their pale then deepest darkest delectables
bristling Sea Urchin Pink
luring in Odin
And marbled Grey Geckos change their colours
From your spring to drink
Dragonflies lick Life's luscious lips of flame hungry fire
in the Gloaming mist
Lust and Desire
pressing urgency
LOVE
is let loose
held tight by the wrists
The Albatross has flown higher and higher
A great journey for you
both it and the Ancient Mariner have sung
Mornings kiss Twilight
Sleep brings dreams and delivers
Titania and Oberon
who watch over
Soul's solitary march
through Dark Night and it's wrath
To walk forever Aphrodite’s path?
A nightmare of a pardon,
Be blessed with Persephone’s heart
Athena’s wisdom, Demeter’s courage
All dance within your blood, you are whole
Life sings like a Lark
Walks with you through the mirrors
Long silk Alabaster curtains part
Warm Velvet uncovered at last
Come tempest on the beach of morning sun
With Gold on your naked feet
Life for you
my
Sweet of The Just
once elusive
now silently and swiftly
Light Kissed
LIFE
has
Begun

She rides through the night in command of the darkness,
her crown encrusted with renegade stars;
all the forest bows to her regal commandments,
bound to her will with invisible bars.
She sees and hears and knows all your movements,
though you think you are hiding away;
she will extract of your heart deepest penance
and bend you to her intractable sway.
Once I wished to go back and be human,
to love like a man loves a maid;
she caught me kissing a girl in the gloaming,
crushed us beneath her wrath cavalcade.
Mists rise and drift and wrap round the forest,
moonbeams prickle the glades;
night time reveals her illustrious kingdom
mirrored in shimmering dew enfilade.
I am her thrall, snatched away one May morning;
she is Titania, queen of the night.
I no longer wish for the warmth of the sunshine;
I live for Titania's onyx delight.

Smiling, it squirts its juices,
delighting in matchmaking,
just like Cupid, whose misaimed arrow,
it recalls, once struck it.
Lucentio and Bianca:
a happy match;
they owe much to it, it knows.
Lysander and Hermia;
Demetrius and Helena…
well, they eventually thanked it too.
But Queen Titania and Bottom…
Love-in-Idleness giggles
…A flower has to have its fun.
Its scans the sleeping eyes
wondering who is next
for its powerful love potion.
I’ve personified the flower, Love-in-Idleness (it mostly appears in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, but is also briefly mentioned in The Taming of the Shrew)

After four weeks working with a group of goddesses,
two of them Greek, I’m reviewing my religious options,
and considering a return to the old Greek religion:-
Give me that old Greek religion
Give me that old Greek religion
Give me that old Greek religion
It’s good enough for me
I will worship one Athena
You’d know why if you had seen ’er
With a bountiful demeanour
And she’s good enough for me
I will worship goddess Hebe
For with her you get a freebie
That gives you the Hebe jeeby
And she’s good enough for me
I will worship Aphrodite
She’s beautiful but flighty
And she goes round in her nighty
But she’s good enough for me
I will worship goddess Rania
Like the fairy queen Titania
So enchanting they should ban ya
But you’re good enough for me
We should worship one called Stella
She’d be adored by every fella
And we’d all sing a capella:
“She’s good enough for me!”
With your old Godfather Zeus
If they don’t give you fair dues
He’ll make an offer they can’t refuse
And that’s good enough for me

Taking Coleridge at his word,
I hied me to a rural scene
To leave behind the madding herd
For where Titania reigns the queen.
Ah! ‘Tis hard to wax romantic,
Though bees hum and boughs do sway,
To close the mind to all the frantic
Things that jostle us each day.
No more the gentle rustic peasant,
No more the green wood wild and free.
This national park, however pleasant,
Some how’s a substitute to me.
What the elm, the oak, the fir,
O what yon flowery slopes to win,
And all that Nature’s beauties stir
Is marred by that blooming Cola tin.
These eyes absorbing and receptive
Scan the prospect domed with blue,
Yet that unsightly thing rejected
Does little to enhance the view.
Would Wordsworth's cloud lift my powers,
lest these powers should sag.
In lieu of glorious yellow flowers
I spy but a wandering plastic bag.
And though you find your Eldorado
By some far-off golden shore,
Whiles yet you munch your avocado
Above the chartered Jumbos roar.
Back then to the grind of duty,
Congested roads, polluted air.
From such as these fashion beauty.

Pastoral
In my youth a starring role
as fair Titania in Shakespeare's play.
Learning my lines was my goal.
Remembering them all who could say.
Rehearsals went along at a pace.
Costume donned with pan stick face.
Oberon hissed in my ear.
Before entrance on the stage.
Something about "making it clear".
I looked at him askance,
then threatened with a glance
The director came backstage
with script in hand.
Flicking over each page
said " Titania! You understand?"
The penny dropped.
Oberon's jealous remark.
Hoping I "flopped".
Everything rested.
Being tested.
I.

on a day like today
my thoughts are of tomorrow
and the path that leads the way
so now we're lost
again
but the faeries will agree
that the only way free
is to blaze your own trail
according to the wise men
i can follow the stars
that carry my dreams
ah, but i awake again
to see a sophisticated socialist
smiling smugly since
silent slaves serve him
-we are on track and taking orders
monotone monotonous automatons
single serving self indulged satisfactions,
and the yearning to become better
pumping blood through our veins
picking up our pulse
as the opportunity could arise
with no idea where we are going
holding trunks to tail marching in line
around the circus ring
to end the performance
with no personal pride
-the desire to be wild
is thriving inside
dying to cry out
to know i'm alive
roaming among the pride
as king of the lions
and when i sleep in my bed
my mind entertaining its lucid fantasies
of intrigues with Titania and
carrying a pocket full of stars
walking down a road
that has no footsteps
but my own

Oberon orders Puck to pick a purple flower.
This solitary blossom has a unique power.
Cupid's misguided arrow hit this specimen of botany.
It makes anyone fall in love with the first creature they see.
Bottom becomes a victim of Puck's chicanery.
The impish little fairy gives Bottom the head of a donkey.
Awakening Titania has the flower's nectar in her eyes.
She falls in love with Bottom despite his disguise.
This is Oberon's way of getting even with his queen.
So many other comical situations will be seen.
Based on the play "A Midsummer Night's Dream" by William Shakespeare

Yesterday, the Undines had a boring day;
their last, they insist.
The things happening to the world,
are terrifying, to say the least;
when water sprites
become bored
with their aquatic home.
It seems their present preference,
is all too different,
they’d rather fly than float.
Titania, queen of the water faeries,
was most despondent when their revelation,
descended upon her elemental ears.
“Such madness,” cried she,
“It’s the last straw when the Undines are,
too eager, to ride fireflies!”

50 Words for Poe: Manifestation
When all this is over
When all the words have dissolved into the Void
and stories of fantasy have no purpose anymore
What you will remember
of the person you chose to Love
is touch, how it felt to be real
just Be, immediate, in their presence
silent in the moment
the past forgotten
enfolded, you fit, like pieces of a puzzle
close, heart beating against heart, skin to skin
lips like soft velvet crushed moist and warm up against your neck
Stirred with a spoon
into a piping
hot mess
You breathe them in, like they’re your strongest hit of caffeine
and you finally realise
This is How Now Begins

Oh Uranus, father of the gods.
The first of the ice giants.
Cold and cloudy.
You are tilted almost on your side.
Many narrow rings surround you,
Not as great as Saturns,
But impressive still.
Your moons named after characters of-
Shakespeare and Pope.
Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titania and Oberon.

If I was a man
I will cook in the morning
I will cook in the evening
A stew which is rotten to the core.
If I was a man
In the middle of a house,
Surrounded by cobwebs
And droppings of the mouse
I will call for the killers
And put strong poison fillers.
If a was a man in a midsummer night dream
I shall be the queen fairy Titania
I’ll bewitch all the hate that surrounds me
From London to California.
If I was a man with a mouth
I will shut it and stay quiet;
I would behave for argument's sake
Before comes another riot.

Uranus, a wonder to explore,
A mystery to unravel and adore.
Seventh from the sun, a world of blue-green,
With secrets to unveil, like none you've seen.
Tilted axis, a unique sight,
At 98 degrees, it spins just right,
And negative 224 degrees Celsius,
Uranus is one of the coldest, no less.
Methane, hydrogen, and helium,
Uranus' atmosphere, a scientific realm,
Deeper within, a layer of ice,
A mantle of rock, so precise.
13 rings of dust and ice,
Water ice, their primary guise,
Faint and challenging to see,
Studying their composition, a scientific spree.
27 moons orbiting around,
Titania, the largest can be found,
Rock and water ice, its makeup,
Probing Uranus, a chance to shake up.
A cosmic puzzle, a scientific call,
Uranus, a planet that mystifies us all,
Why explore its chemistry, you ask?
To know our place in this cosmic task.
