When all this is over
When all the words have dissolved into the Void
and stories of fantasy have no purpose anymore
What you will remember
of the person you chose to Love
is touch, how it felt to be real
just Be, immediate, in their presence
silent in the moment
the past forgotten
enfolded, you fit, like pieces of a puzzle
close, heart beating against heart, skin to skin
lips like soft velvet crushed moist and warm up against your neck
Stirred with a spoon
into a piping
hot mess
You breathe them in, like they’re your strongest hit of caffeine
and you finally realise
