Enhanced by peaceful solitude, in twilight, crimson crowned
She stood in tensile grace, unmoved. Enchantment in disguise
Lightly splashed by back light, where the tender grass had grown

A white tailed doe, was grazing there, aware and keen of eye
She perked up ears, alert for sound, yet, still she had not flown
Dare I break the silent calm, with breath or just a sigh?

Or take a step, in chance my foot might rustle twig or loam?
This stance of wills,...intense and poised. Would she dare to flee?
She perked up ears, alert for sound, yet still she had not flown

A monumental moment, as she stood before my eyes
First stabbed by startled fear, new trust came pouring down
There, in tensile grace she stood, enchantment in disguise

Caressed in beauty, and sun embraced, revealed for me alone
Dare I break the silent calm, with breath or just a sigh?
First stabbed by startled fear, new trust came pouring down

Eyes made of glass, as windows are, in which the iris tongue
We made no move...each one transfixed, no air in lungs to breathe
So inter-laced, with life force crossed, in universal one
Our spirits twined against the sky, beneath the copper trees

Winging It

birds of a quill, or a feather
flock together at odd times
from all four corners
of thinking creative
to jostle with keyboards,
pens and sharp pencils
fingers fidget, tap-tapping
frantic scribbling down
in notebook's lined pages
screens and keyboards
prepare for posting
all that flutters in skulls
staring blank-eyed into spaces
behind temples hot throbbing
turns tensile to tactile
steely minds become strings
unhinged yet synaptic
as typists happily fly
out of the window
out doing much undoing
with words, concrete stacks
of thoughts buried in letters
homing in on ideas is noted
by fraught-filled grey matters
e-motions will ruffle, jostle, shuffle
trying to find their feet
on narrow high perches
no one cooped up again
in confounded wired places
safety in numbers protects
from eagle-eyed predation
teeming teams have no trepidation
preening each other
pecking order in order
while who's who is related
faithful fair friends love being updated
lovebirds are word-cooing
with beak-kissing nibbles
some of us like darkness
it brings poets together
winter hibernation in torpor
taking wing in springing up ether
fancy that take off?
it's what we are made of....

all that really matters
when feathers start flying
is the daylight between them
caused not by division
but the tight act of trying
to avoid mid-air collision!

Sparkle spreads sight
Lifts lovely light

Dawn drizzles dream
Sweet sensuous streams

Feel fancy fire
Sizzling sounds sire

Taste tensile touch
Move moments much

Rapture rooms rich
Nurture nice niche

Bright blossoms bloom
Zesty zeal zooms

Treasure true times
Craft clever chimes

Prize precious poise
Veer vibrant voice

Feed funny fate
Succinct sure slate

Deft dancing dawn
Spreads surreal spawn

Bubbly bright boom
Gracious gifts groom

Forever Awakening From Deep Sleep

Unshakeable groggy state
plagues mein kampf
impossible mission to awaken
this comatose zombie
drugged horror - by potent

self manufactured narcotic -
oppressive tantalizing
nightmares indistinguishable
when supposedly conscious,
eyes cannot differentiate

dusky "reality" from
twilit zoned lifelike slumbers
confused with medication
induced hallucinations ferrying
me to lands unknown

lack proper visa to allow
this migrant citizenship,
cannot escape tangled web
spun since birth
threads tensile strength

beyond realm of destruction
incredibly dynamic force
defies sophisticated
contraption to measure
even against most

powerful dynamometer,
no contest when utmost might,
sans primal scream
regarding non anesthetized excruciating
spinal tap daily visited

on this beastie boy,
no matter summoning every last ounce
of mine (billeted) willpower
foregone conclusion collusion
effectually ranked less

than lame duck effort
defeated, jackknifed, stymied...
every step of the weigh
I loathe forlorn doomed curse,
a worse fate than death,

no life worth living when bereft
of interpersonal, "normal",
relational... trappings,
yet death not available
for this walled in hostage

imprisoned within inescapable Alcatraz
every blinkered instant nsync
with pseudo fictional
realistic psychedelic dreams
mocking (this bird – dodo)
man cave existence, a mere

abysmal charade, facade, jade
did minimalistic functionality,
where suicide an irrevocable
unfair punishment to Shana Punim
precious daughter, whose caterwauling...
would wake grateful dead!

Premium Member Bourgainvillea

Tough and hardy, this bushy shrub;
Roadside decor in blazing sun,
Flowers pretty enough no doubt
In sure rigour bear heatwave run.

Blazing colours in crystal tints:
Orange and red, purple and pink;
Range of flavours, violet-white hints;
Touch unafraid such tensile links.

Flowery bursts in hot weather,
Sparkle and shine, blooming clusters;
Tough with dry thirst in warm splendour,
Outlook feels fine in sheer wonder.

Hot evergreen with thorny hedge,
Sparkling colours that look so good;
Nature now seen on dusty edge,
Arid odours as harsh drought broods.

Unnoticed show that bears hot heat,
Blooming in hues that gathers lots;
Bear fast or slow as time retreats,
Flowers that cue in sun drenched plots.

Bourgainvillea vines in the sun
Tell a story of survival;
See joy appear in sparkling run,
Flowers breezy in recital.

Premium Member Christmas Tree

"Children full of giggles, dance in excitement around the Christmas tree, a camera captures the moment." Quote by poet

The emerging day, a crisp fresh white nature
exemplifies early Christmas season.
Scent painted patterns of blue spruce,
Scots pine and Nobel fir, so many shapes
and sizes to pick from.

Summer long gone; snow lies upon the ground.
Sun crowns the pinnacle emerald trees
with each limb adorn with handfuls of snow.
Along the way, a blue jay perched on a limb
shaking its tail feathers, a red robin alights and stares,
making it easy to pick the perfect Christmas tree.

Dressed in an armor of glimmering tensile, cranberry garland,
colorful lights, and a variety of glass ornaments on its branches,
and an angel, stands center stage atop of the tree.
Gifts wrapped in colorful Christmas wrapping,
ribbons, and bows under the tree, a perfect cameo.

Cryptic language with words that hide;
Secret message in ancient tides;
Mine the passage in mystic ride.

Linger a while on textures tough;
Thought waves that style beyond the rough;
An inner guile with pregnant stuff.

Heart within mind in pulse and urge;
Address ***** finds in sag and surge;
Go beyond kind in swirl and purge.

To find the core where meaning fills,
Discern some more the vital till;
Let knowing soar in precise will.

Address the space where time holds gist;
Accept the pace of rhymes that list;
Align the trace in hidden mist.

Knowing within the sacred code,
Beyond mere whim a wondrous mode;
Here yet unseen a pathway node.

Feeling the way within these grounds,
A tensile stay that firms around;
Pry cryptic sway with motive found.

Peel layers here that hold meaning;
Read beyond fear the deeper fling;
Ponder sense clear as answers sing.

Deep within see the hidden span:
Veiled legacy in sure attend;
Code that sets free an ancient blend.

Trace clues that spur your quest to know;
Go beyond blur to sublime show;
Let swirls unfurl the course of flow.

Thought hides cryptic in symbols deep;
Know dear mystic realms that now sleep;
Feel the magic as foliage creep.

I wasn't completely sure who I just was, so
I counted off three-chimes of the bell in the
clock tower.... I'm out late.... Nighthawks swoop
and Crickets hush their tensile ratchet, until I
pass by.

He pushed by me, cutting me off, as I pointed
towards the Hotel on the hill.... he could stay
there, but I would need to remain alert, focused
on matters close by..... like, why is pink my
favorite color? .... and, why are Dutch People
in art, always painted blue?

Doesn't seem fair... with no expectations, rewards,
or pressure, would humans naturally be of a giving
nature? ...... or selfish?

Enjoy being young, the downward
rush of seeming omnipotence; too
soon the flow, inevitably will slow,
and then, the upstream paddle –

enjoy being moist and juiced...
before the creak and the rattle –

although youth may seem an
unfair battle at times, with challenges
insurmountable, often one pleading
for a divine arbiter, old-age reveals
the true tensile of character – and
the worth of a trying journey before the
welcoming gurney –

Grease Monkey Rainbows
                                by Odin Roark

How colorfully the reflective smears ignited the senses.

How sinuous the undulating slick remained forever permanent,
its unintentional abstracts made prescient.

Dank syrup of engines idle,
spilled upon aged concrete
where the mechanic beneath rusted warriors
drained yesterday's tensile stress,
fresh loading tomorrow's fluid to live.

How focused his oily footprints remain,
now aloft riding the escort of Valhalla,
gliding upon colors of other-world palettes,
yet remaining forever heroic,
forever indelible,
in a little boy’s perpetual memory.

Yesteryear’s ever present ether continues embracing,
bestowing a blinding courage for the senses to endure,
even as the buried vestige remains dark.

The smell revered.
The smooth touch esteemed.
The unbridled colors forever a reminder of love.

Diesel rainbows,
still rippling in this man-child’s quiet ebb.

Preach primal pact
Aim anxious act

Deem deep design

Faith floating free
Mime mimics me
Bright blessings be

Stray words
In the windy breeze
Now heard
In a gentle squeeze

Soft sounds
In the bamboo pines
Now ground
In stray breezy lines

Sweet strains
In the rustling leaves
Speak plain
In green windy brief

Soft moans
In the tensile twirl
Leaves groan
In the whizzy swirl

Seven Savvy Sirens
formed a formidable fraternity
of pure-passion purpose
for female fatales.

Murder-minded maids
promised patient pursuit
of tensile tangled truth
while warily watching
crafty crook's coup.

But, busted and bested,
dames drink despair
like lambs laid lame
in trickster's thorny trap.

Judging our tensile strength

As she furiously reams

Nibbling away at our armor

Undeterred by wishes or dreams

Alternately pushing and pulling

Rending our world with her blast

Yanking us apart at the seams
