Best Tear Apart Poems

Cecilia

The wind blows love songs from afar
And rides the night on a fallen star;
A glow of light from enchanted skies
Holds the trance that stills your eyes;
I’ll kiss the song that fills the air
With haunting words that rise and flare
Around you Cecilia.

Eyes that flame that know not shame
Speak of love and call my name;
Knowing eyes, soft glowing eyes
That brim with tears and love's surprise
To draw my heart so close to you
As rose buds draw the diamond dew
The tempting eyes of Cecilia.

If I should be a great strong tree
Your tender self could lean on me;
Your touch would start and tear apart
Flames that consume my aching heart
And I would be but smoke to rise
Forever lost in empty skies
Oh, save me, my Cecilia.

Deep As First Love, Wild As All Regret - Alfred Lord Tennyson

Deep as first love,
and wild as all regret -
               Alfred Lord Tennyson

There is an aching in the heart
slipping into tears that burn and tear apart
every fiber of your being
so that the eyes are no longer seeing.

Each look was just pretend
knowing well how love would end
and there deep in the hallowed halls of time
well I knew, you wouldn't always be mine.

A somber memory paints
the heartthrob emotions making youth faint
delirious with love and sensual feelings
enough to send two bodies reeling.

Shadows lurk easing back and forth
assured each struggle for their own worth
there in that selfish centered need
one would follow and the other lead.

Just a moment held
as lovers succumb to love's spell
that quickly fades and disappears
with hearts held back by fear.

There in the shadows, each one alone will walk
their first love slipped away without talk
and futures die in the dream's regret
but it is a memory none ever forget.

In Defense of Poetry

How else to tell you
	of the movement of
the universe that sets my world to tilt?

Where spatial acuity and intuitive thinking fall down
and weep
at the feet of blank spaces and odd numbers begging
direction

I scratch for description of the structure of blue ink
on pulp paper . . .
the humidity of black seas on windless nights,
the way my lips sometimes speak
in dry dust

For the latitude of line and length, the way I like
how they intersect, conjoin,
tear apart . . . forever changed
yet spent
of further locution

And still I dream
I can hear the world
running out of time and tolerance for
small words
. . . for small minds ~

The measure of meter and moments
sit in whimpering, drying ink
falling off the edge of sense and
sensibility

How else to tell
you
       who cannot hear?

My Puppeteer

Pull my strings, or I can't walk.
Pull my lever, so I can talk.

Made of plastic, with no heart.
As you wish, to tear apart.

Put me back, on my shelf.
I am no good, by myself.

Round and round, so we go.
You pull my strings, that's all I know.

Soulful sista
Strolling in her full spirited stride
Just couldn't hide
From my heart's searching eye's
that I swore I
wouldn't allow to be blinded by this mindless modern day luv no more
Until that particular half second
I wanted to run-------grab her by the hands!!!!!!
AND......
take her down to see the Reverend

I didn't have any spare time that was to be wasted
Wanted to recycle my trashy reputatation
Strip
Down My image Un-til- it was raw

So that.....
It could be steamed and not fried
BLESSED
Not viciously devoured
Hope that I'm a genourous helping
That'll nurture your body and soul
and in no way be unhealthy
One who'd always fill you up, never leave you empty
Be your top and bottom money maker and not once will you ever have to pimp me

Easy to open
Hard to tear apart
I play a game thats not a game & i trump any Player's card
I'm what the mighty-dollar can't buy
And I'm the same thing that stores just don't sale

St. Elmo's Fire

'Twas a fall eve on our flight to the coast
Dressed in my livery this journey I'd host.
A storm was predicted, we would fly 'round
With instrument help from cockpit to ground.

No form of the storm yet could be seen
Our 747 flew like a queen.
Suddenly arose the storm we would fight
It was going to be a bumpy night!

As turbulence began rocking our plane
Cans and bottles fell again and again.
I tried to secure my cart on its tie
Withholding some fear, I won't tell a lie.

Captain announced for us to be seated
His urgent tone need not be repeated.
The lightning storm caused us to fly higher,
Cockpit windows glowed with St. Elmo's fire.

The contrast between bright white and deep blue
A frightening sight for first time to view.
Passengers gripped the armrests of their chair
Sweet babies held tight by mothers with care.

Passengers viewed on crew faces...no fear
Which put them at ease as coastline grew near.
We landed safe and as we taxied in
Applause was heard with appreciative din!

*Note:
Like lightning, St. Elmo's Fire is plasma, or ionized air that emits a glow. But while lightening is the movement of electricity from a charged cloud to the ground, St. Elmo's Fire is simply sparking, something like a shot of electrons into the air. It's a corona discharge, and it occurs when there is a significant imbalance in electrical charge, causing molecules to tear apart, sometimes resulting in a slight hissing sound. The first step in generating St. Elmo's Fire is a thunderstorm.

Colour of My Heart-2

Colour of my heart

Seeds of animosity are planted
In virgin soil of the innocent mind
Seedlings should not be taken for granted
inseminating hate's a complex crime

Secrets and cruel intentions of the heart
lay dormant for years, rarely manifest
Conscience and propriety tear apart
uprooted by some calamitous test

Colour adorns beauty and elegance
Awakening an impartial spirit
Whispering words of change to indifference
Hoping hungry, humble hearts hear it

An indigent heart prefers monochrome
'Cause ignorance is all it's ever known!

Lifelong Stories

You and I
Suicide
Never knowing what it means
To bleed
Never touching the dreams
You need
Just bleed

Thoughts glimpse inside
Glimpse inside the mind
They say you’re nothing
Hide your worth
They say you’re nothing
Dead from birth

We all want to be
Want to be
What they want us to be
We all wanna see
Wanna see the light
Open up your eyes
See inside the light
This is our story
Give God the glory

Down the medication
Take it all in
Put another line inside the wrist
Maybe it’ll block out the fist
What does this life even mean
What is a happy dream

We all want to be
Want to be
What they want us to be
We all wanna see
Wanna see the light
Open up your eyes
See inside the light
This is our story
Give God the glory

Lovers seem to fade
Fade into the grey
Families tear apart
Rip out your heart
No one seems to care
If you go no where
No one seems to cry
If you sleep at night

We all want to be
Want to be
What they want us to be
We all wanna see
Wanna see the light
Open up your eyes
See inside the light
This is our story
Give God the glory

Thoughts glimpse inside
Glimpse inside the mind
They say you’re nothing
Hide your worth
They say you’re nothing
Dead from birth

Just run
Run away
Death is not the end
Heaven send
There’s something greater
In the air
God we need you now
There must be more
More than this

 We all want to be
Want to be
What they want us to be
We all wanna see
Wanna see the light
Open up your eyes
See inside the light
This is our story
Give God the glory

Snagglepuss

I love how u make my twinkle
i love the way we kiss and mingle
i love the when i glance in ur eyes
i hate when we have to say goodbye
but i love every moment with you
and i would do anything jus too
be with you forever
and just know that i will never
let you down
no longer make u frown
baby i will do whatever you want me too
prove how much in love i am with you
together no one can break my heart
but seperate im easy to tear apart
i jus wish you knew
how much i really love you
so i will just say
i love to hear your each day
and i hope and pray
that your feelings for me never go away
and their is one more thing i gotta say
i miss and love u and hope u have a nice day

Answer To Your Question

You are the harpists song
You are the whistling wind
I love you even more
Than others there have been.
The love song you sing
Has snuck into my soul
And filled me with a tenderness
I have never felt before.
Don't love me just a little
Don't ever leave my side
For it would tear apart
This loving heart of mine.
I feel a deep commitment
To you who are my life
So in answer to your question
I will gladly become your wife.

The Me Inside

Few people ever truly see,
The me inside yearning to be free.
They look upon my outward shell,
And think that's all there is of me.

They do not know what I have seen,
What my life had been till now.
But they just sit and judge me,
With no thought to the who, what, when, where or how.

I do not judge them at all,
I just try to see who they are.
Yet they seek to learn,
They only want to scar.

They wound my soul with their words,
As they tear apart my life.
Never to know the fragile heart,
Weakened by so much strife.

Try getting to know me,
Then maybe you will see;
All of the things that are brought together,
To create the me inside of me.

My Name Is Cancer

“My Name is Cancer”

My name is cancer; I have no regard for life.
I break hearts and tear apart families.
I appear out of the blue and strangely.
I do not see race, or age, or beauty in people, for I’m a disease, and blind to the good hearts I take.
The more people I take from this earth, the more I‘m feared.
I’m inside everyone: every mother, father, sister, and son.
To know me, is to know death,
To feel me, is to fell anguish.
To see me is like seeing then sun, then falling away into darkness where there is no more light,
where there is only pain.
Where there is only a feeling of hell that you do not understand and cannot explain.
I make friends cry, I make families feel hopeless.
Is it fair for me to make the vibrant wither?
Is it fair for me to take the old before their time?
Is it fair of me to strike fear into the hearts of families?
Is it fair for me to take the life of an inanest child?
I’m just but a disease that knows no bounds.
Hopefully you never have the misfortune
of hearing my name.

Ode To Art

A timeless face set in smooth, hard skin gazes
Out across a sea of framed majesty created by human hands.
Dreams, which have been carefully formed to
Enter into the realm of reality and take
It’s viewer’s breath away. The statue
Looks at art and is art and addresses art,

Art, you are everything and can be made with
So many things previously thought of as nothing.
Possibilities stretch up and down the rabbit
Hole of imagination. Having tea in mid air doesn’t
Seem so rare anymore. Or sky in the middle of the ocean
And someone lounging on a couch on the ceiling, hair floating upward.

I can draw a picture of spring with you,
Blend warmth and a light breeze on the page
In black and white with my charcoal finger.
Or tear apart an image only to put it back together in
A new unimaginable way, or create a new world
An enchanted forest, a thousand hands as trees reaching toward the sun…

The possibilities are endless

Premium Member In a Heartbeat

I drove down to Virginia to a place I was before
Stared out at the horizon, waves crashing against the shore
And dreamed of days long past
Wishing I could sail once more
Feel the salty breeze against my face
Not knowing what I was looking for
The dreams I carry in my heart, they help me feel whole
Remembering nights out on the ocean just tear apart my soul
A voice called Sailor, come on home
To the life that you once knew
Set your sails, get underway
For a sea of Caribbean blue
I close my eyes, dream again, and my knees they feel weak
Taste the salt in the air as the tears roll down my cheek
In a heartbeat I would sail those waters standing on the bow
Bridges burnt so long ago, too late to rebuild them now
The sun sinking on the horizon, it is the end of day
The peaceful scene brings back the urge
To pack up and sail away
As I turn to leave, a few miles out, a white dog passes by
Sea gulls flying overhead, I stop and wonder why
It's 6PM, I walk away as I hear the four bells chime
Tonight I'll dream peaceful dreams of another place, another time.

An Honorable Man

My dad is a man
who is always there,
He wipes away my tears
and shows me he cares.

He is a man who
has about the biggest heart,
And an undying love
for those dear to his heart.

He says "what a Kawinkie dink"
to make me smile,
His smile shines farther
than a mile.

He has a special
place in my heart,
A place that no storm
could ever tear apart.
