LIKE A PEARL NECKLACE

Tall, dark and handsome,
First impressions are good.
A lovely accent accentuates his lips,
this man who loves my sister.

Two families joined as one,
As white and dark wrist circles
celebrate at their wedding

With aromatic arabic melodies
Fe Sehetak
A lovely cup of love

~

He was working at the Jerusalem Hotel.
She was on assignment in Israel.

~

A rolling car and shattered glass,
Almost snatched, the lives of father and son,
but for a miracle from God.

~

In my sister’s living room, cozy,
her husband’s Palestinian parents.

Emotive communications,
Joey’s grandma and I,
through God’s grace.

Our mutual love of her grandson, my nephew.
We point to the baby, and we blow kisses,
and point to the heavens.
A shared cup of joy and tears.

~

Like a pearl necklace we slide together,
the world grasped in the beauty of
shared smiles and gratitude.

And love.

Emily Goes For a Walk

Emily goes for a walk.

Emily was at the beginning of her sixty-fifth year,
She lived alone since her husband,Colin died in 2008.
Her life involved cleaning and maintaining the family home.
Not that there was any family really.
Her only friend was a stray cat called Elenore.
She lived in Sydney so the January weather was fine and hot.
Just the kind of weather for a walk.

She put on a white dress and a straw hat with a rose on it.
“Come on Collie lets get going” she said softly
She often spoke to Colin even though he wasn’t there.
Her walk took her passed the Wilson house. She stopped for a moment.
In the front garden were bushes of Lavender. It was glorious.
“ Oh look Colin its Lavendar. It always reminds me of our first date.
Remember you gave me some Lavender perfume as a present.
Oh it must have been 1988.I still love the fragrance.”
Her mind often drifted to the place where good hearts go.
And in that place Colin was always tall, dark and handsome.

Emily kept walking down passed the river and the park.
There was a garden filled with red and yellow roses.
She sat on a park bench and smiled at the beautiful flowers.
“Oh Colin I was never really a big fan of roses until you brought me some.
Do you remember when I was in hospital and I had to have electric shocks.
You brought me bunches an bunches of roses.
It was divine. The whole ward smelled of rose perfume.”
“Oh Dear the sun seems to be going down.I’m not sure where I am.
Is that you Colin. Are you there.I should like to go back now.
I can’t see my way back. Please someone help me.
Ahh I am so lost.”
“Don’t fret sweetheart. I will lead you home.
And when we get there I have a surprise for you I have placed Lilies in your room
So lets go back.Hold my hand dear heart and I will lead you home.”

Aged To Perfection

Tall, dark and handsome
With a muscular physic
He's everything a woman could ask for
He even has an impressive technique

Smooth as an aged
Bottle of fine wine
And filled with words
That’ll make a woman
Loose her mind

How can there be such a man
That’s just that sweet
And still be called a heterosexual

Never in my wildest dreams
Have I met a man
That’s plushed, polished and oh so sleek
Like a well written book
That I could critique

I’d give him nothing but rave reviews
And awards up the creek

Love Sexy Chronicles Vol 1

THE COFFEE SHOP

BY EZAR AND STEPHANIE

The Coffee Shop (Male)
It was a warm summer afternoon; As the sun covered the sidewalk like they were bride and groom.
On my way to the coffee shop, a place where I often stop… In the downtown city blocks.
Wearing cream designer shirt, shoes, slacks, and socks; I saw walking towards me a lady with beauty on lock; Designer dressed from bottom to top.
Louis Vuitton heels, the color of scorching hot; Thinking to myself, she deserve props. Not realizing that we were both headed to coffee shop, a place where I often stopped.
Like a gentleman, I open the door to let her in Prada is what I smelled in the wind.
Oh my, she had thick legs and thick thighs Brown skin with light brown eyes.
Headed to the Bristo with a laptop by her side…
She ordered a caramel latte. What do I do to break the ice and conversate?
At the coffee shop a place where I often stopped.

The Coffee Shop (Female)
Work heavy on my mind; Mid day, need to break away and unwind
The weather is warm to my skin; The air is breezy and fresh as I take it all in…On my way to the coffee shop where I often stop.
Laptop in one hand, purse in the other; As I walked towards the door, I noticed a “Brotha”?
Tall, dark, and handsome would not be original; This Brotha has stance, confidence of someone spiritual.
He opened the door, as a gentleman should; I walked by, nodded politely, but in my mind he stood.
His eyes spoke, and his smile remained still; Designer dressed, shoes, matching hat, dressed to kill.
I headed to the counter to order my favorite drink as if I wasn’t fazed; By his inviting stature or silent praise.
“Caramel Latte” I request, “I’ll be at my usual table” I directed.
Something was different at the coffee shop, a place where I often stopped.

Man I Admire

I can see him from afar
Tall, Dark, and handsome
But when he smiles I can see his tartar

I'Ll Take the Tall, Dark and Handsome, Oh, I Mean Coffee, To

She looked shyly at him from behind her menu
His eyes were a baby blue that sent chills
Through her whole body; she could melt right here
And have that waitress he’s talking to mop her up
Typical Barbie doll type with an pretentiously
Effervescent personality that makes you want to
Roll your eyes and scoff--The environment they
Were in was a hustle and bustle type of place
Where time waits for no man...as soon as people
Were done eating, they were cleared out and
Another party was ushered in

“It is essential to business that you eat,
Order and then leave.” The Barbie Doll waitress’
Nasal twang only served as a catalyst for
Her frustration--She kept peering over her
Menu at the Adonis that kept her enraptured
“Well Honey, what’s it gonna be?”
Barbie’s voice oozed of impatience
Not taking her eyes off The Gorgeous One,
She replied softly, “I need more time.”
Barbie’s demeanor escalated from
Impatience to hysterical--“More time!
Honey, you gotta order, or you gotta go!”
As the hand went to the waist
And the hip thrusted out.

Now she had enough of this witch and her
Attitude---Why couldn’t she just go somewhere
Nice to eat and be able to enjoy the view?
“No, I don’t gotta go---You do! She exclaimed
As she stood up, knocking her bag to the floor;
Menu flailing back and forth
You are SO nasty, why would I want to eat
Here? You probably SPIT in the food!”
The waitress stood back, aghast
What evolved next was most of the patrons
Getting up and leaving; unpaid checks and
Half-eaten plates the fallout of this outburst
The owner, who tried to assure people there was
No saliva in the food, bellowed for the waitress
To get into his office while the rest of the staff
Scurried around trying to recover from the
Losses they incurred

As she took a deep breath, picked up her
Bag and her dignity, The Gorgeous One
Came from behind, put his arm around her
And smiled
“That was the greatest thing I ever saw,
He said as his eyes shone intensely on her
What’s your number?” And she felt like a
Rocket flying to the Moon
Elation to go.........with a side order of
Breathless

It Ain'T Easy Being Stupid

It Ain't Easy Being Stupid

 The sweet reggae music
And the oldies Goldie’s Outbids the
Noise in the night

Tall dark and handsome,
I saw him standing there,
A well shave face viper

His artistic designs
From ear to cheek
Zigzags lines that
Shape his round face
The shine on his face clashes
With the street light

To have such a deep admiration
From a sex stave woman
I was in love the six packer
the bearded caribbean viper

Under the street light; they he stand tall
I sigh! and took another sip of beer
as memory recalls I about to have an affair?
I whisper softly " Lord “Please don't failed me now

That was the night
When I surrender my heart, my secrets

for moment of bliss that fulfills only
a temporary curiosity of most women

My self-confidence forfeit
The enemy captured my heart

Self-confidence is to do
What you are afraid to do.
I have done it all

I surrender everything to a tall six packers
 the beard caribbean viper

A moment of sanity
From another human being to another
It Ain't Easy Being Stupid

The Kind I Like

Is it wrong that the kind I like
     Is tall dark and handsome
Am I too high in my standards
I mean really their not standards
Their just a summary of many boy friends
                and crushes
                All worthy of crowns
               For their fine selves
                  I like em dark
                    Nice smiles
                     Dressing to kill
                       basketball stars
Able to keep up with my intelligence
and still keep it real hood
                           I love them funny
                               Comedian style
                                Muscular and in shape
                                      Sweet and confident
                                       Pretty much that category
                                              Am I to shallow?
                                             Or to demanding?
                                              Are my standards to high?
You don't think I can find a man
                                                 Like that?
                                                  Well don't tell the world
But I've found a spot where
all they dish out is the absolute
                                                                      Best
I'm in heaven so I guess my standards
                                                 Have to be high
It's just what i'm used to
                                                        Please don't get mad

Wishes Do Come True

She tossed her coin into wishing well
For all to see and for all to tell,
She wished for a husband
One tall dark and handsome,
Hoping the well would break her dry spell.

Well her suitors came from all around
Some gross, some *****, no handsome found,
She looked for a keeper
And not just a looser,
Then she met one financially sound.

Tall dark and handsome, was just a joke
She'd settle for one who wasn't broke,
She got an old fella
He's thirty years older,
And just recovering from a stroke.

Her wish at the well partly came true
When she and her old man said "I do,"
Since she was no beauty
He fulfilled his duty,
It was her Daddy who paid him too!

Nice Guys

It's a guy who grew up with good morals
People with the purest of souls
Raised to excel and exceed
Born to treat
Attentive and sensitive

They spent minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years
Time without boundaries
Listening to the problems and fears
Of the males but especially the females near
'cause those girls needed someone to listen to them
Someone to vent to, really
And yeah, sometimes it made the nice guy feel special
It feels good to be needed by someone you love
Or someone you can love

But the stars of fate and destiny above
Don't always align
Not for this type

And while the womenfolk prance and dance with their hairless monkey
They're mistreated, used, abused, consumed and refused
And the shes rush to the nice hes for that undying comfort
But the latter are getting restless
Their looks are ordinary, so how do they compete
With tall dark and handsome
When they're short, pale and human?
This guy's not a cheat
He's patient and his anger is merciful
He won't take advantage of womenfolk so vulnerable
Won't resort to objectify
But they're lumped with the jerks and shirts and together are vilified

So what does the nice guy do?
Contemplate.
He'll meditate
and say "hey,
Why are all my friendships one-sided?"
His empathy and reliable nature can't be appreciated
So it needs to be asphyxiated
Cut free, act differently
Take on a job, a car, a tattoo, a gym, an instrument
Designer clothes, cigarettes, cigars,
All what was feared and all that is sheer
********
Like a hundred dollar bill, given so much value
But simply a sensitive cheap piece of paper
Easily ripped and quickly gypped
And he leaves his morality
Cuts his vocabulary
4 word sentences, 3 syllabus max per word
To get out of nice guy playground and friend zone

But that's really just accepting the parasite
Letting it infect you
Taking your views to the termites
Yeah, you might get tail
Or you may completely fail
Though will you really let selfishness > goodness?
No,
I won't
Not on the long run, at least.
Just this one time.

The Future

As she showed her palm to the Seer
The air was thick with dread.
The girl's eyes were filled with her fear,
when her palm was read.

In a low, soft voice the Gyspy said:
"You will meet a good man..."
"Tall, dark, and handsome?" the girl said,
Not looking for romance.

"No," the woman said "someone better...
A Man who makes dreams real!"
"Who?" asked the girl in the sweater.
"That I cannot reveal..."

"I can tell you though..." said the hag.
"That you will meet soon,
somewhere far from this main old drag."
"How soon? Before a new moon?"

"Yes, yes, you must travel far and wide.
You will find him far-off,
In a home on the riverside,
Near a church and mosque."

"There he will teach you the secret...
The lost secret of life!"
The girl gaped at such tommyrot.
Angry, she said "Jesus Christ!"

"That CANNOT be true, you swindler!"
And with that she rushed out
Leaving the old fortune teller,
Who would sit there and wait.

You see the Seer knew something...
That the girl would meet him,
Soon, and then she would again think.
Soon, her dreams would evince.

Wishful Thinking

An old man sat thinking
Oh what shall I do
I really could do
With a woman or two!
The younger the better
Or three in a bed
Why are these thoughts
Going round in my head
But his looks were not pleasant
His age clearly showed
He looked like a frog
Or more so a toad!
So he came up with a devious plan
To make ladies think
That he was a young man
He joined Match.com
With a profile that said
I'm tall, dark and handsome
And damned good in bed
I'm just six feet tall
With piercing blue eyes
And in case you are wondering
It's a respectable size!
I own a nice house
I'm solvent and funny
I drive a Rolls Royce
And I have tons of money
And if you are game
For pleasure and fun
Please do get in touch
I just could be the one
He then sorted through photos
Of himself years gone by
With no wrinkles and handsome
Looking smart, suit and tie
Then he posted his profile
With his hopes raised sky high
But he looked in the mirror
And saw with a sigh
A beer belly, false teeth
Specs, walking stick
Looked down and oh
He could not see his dick!
I can get some viagra
A dot on the card
Apparently works wonders
For making things hard!
But there was a huge problem
He thought whilst he sighed
One look at me and
She will know that I lied
What's the solution
We will meet in the dark
Late at night with no moon
At the local park
But he knew damned well
That it would never work
And went to bed feeling
Like such a prize berk!

I don't care if it doesn't matter to you
but it means a whole fuc**ng lot to me
you want to treat old black Jim as if he's a gorilla in a zoo
while I want to set the human being free

his grandfather spent years picking cotton in the field-
for a pittance as payment and a beating if he was late-
his grandfather ended up with scars that never healed-
and they aren't from a whip but rather from hate-

that cotton went to make debutantes look pretty on New Year's eve
with crinoline, ribbons and a tall dark and handsome beau
while Jim's grandpa was freezing in a cabin he was never allowed to leave
and the same went for Jim's black buddies Bill, John and Joe

they worked their fingers to the bone for payment in bread and a bit of rum
while Debbie the debutante looked lovely in her pink and purple gown
Jim, Bill, John and Joe tilled the soil all day long while crawling for a crumb
and if either of the four defied the master they were kicked and knocked deleteriously down

I know this all took place a life time ago
and that's the reason I have such hostility toward you
long gone are Debbie the debutante and her beau
but I will not allow you to keep old black Jim behind bars in a zoo

They were loyal sisters.
The older
was also more fair,
prettier in an Original Barbie kind of way.

She had been sick
when her younger,
darker,
more tomboy sister
met and first desired
my tall, dark, and handsome Uncle.

When older and fairest of all Sisters
returned home,
after a long healthcare absence,
she too desired Uncle Handsome,
as did we all,
in our time and ways,
but Handsome's eyes never wavered again
once reset on older and fairest Sister.

Young darker Sister, left behind,
began to heal
when tall, dark, and handsome #2
showed up
and spoke smokey truths
of happiness,
kindness,
quiet gentleness.
But not too gentle.
Slow and steady; confident
integrity could heal all guilt
and angers
and prior disappointments.

These two Sisters
and their TD and H husbands
lived near each other
and grew old together
with unspoken neighborly mistrusts,
unresolved struggles with and about envy,
jealousies and jilts,
but also laughter and deep mutual regard.

Who can control chemistry,
or timing?
Who can forgive,
and how long could this revolution take?

Yet even restrained love
can grow abundantly rich
with both age and generosity.

Younger and darker Sister
lost her husband to cancer
and then her memory,
while older fairest Sister and husband
moved into assisted housing
after reaching golden fifty years
together.

Then good-natured patient waiting
to embrace final retirement,
a journey we each take alone,
as when we entered
except without Mom nearby,
or maybe this too remains the same, somehow.

Older ancient Barbie Sister
did not let go
until younger jilted Sister
quietly stopped breathing in her deep night sleep,
lost in memories not accessible by day.

Ten nights later
Barbie Sister passed out of embodied memories
in this same way.
Safe at last,
knowing it was then too late
for TD and H Uncle
to go back before that place
where they had started.

They say death comes in threes.
I wonder why.

Olympia

My love the moment I gazed on you I knew you were for me
Oh my Olympia, Oh my Olympia my desire it never wanes
I wanted and desired you, you hold a special place in my heart
I did not hesitate as I wooed and sought you as my very own
To possess you I knew would be ecstasy as I lusted after you
Your looks were sleek and sultry hiding a heart made of steel
One touch of your body and I became a captive of love
Oh how I loved you so overlooking the high price I had to pay
As together we then travelled as one on the highway of life
It was exhilarating as you added a new dimension to my life
Together we flew high and so many adventures did we share
But time my love has tamed you, I sadly watch you grow so old
The knocks of life have slowly one by one taken their toll
I look to others now so desiring the shining you that used to be
Now I have found another and he is my one true love not you
He’s tall dark and handsome not old and grey like you
I know you two will clash, he’s so like you, exciting wild and free
He will drive you hard and endlessly as the three of us combine
Olympia you’ll always remain my much loved Ford Falcon car.
