Premium Member Never Shame a Woman

Never ever shame a woman
for the fire in her soul
still your fear that you're unable
to give that which makes her whole

Never ever shame a woman
for the fierceness of her love
when she wants to subjugate you
she's an eagle, not your dove

Never ever shame a woman
for her raging burning need
to take in that which inflames her
bond and let her soul be freed

Never ever shame a woman
for insatiable desire
use your all to give and please her
be a man and stoke her fire

Never ever shame a woman
for her sensual appetite
primal cravings that possess her
give her reign at day or night

Never ever shame a woman
when she moans in ecstasy
do not force her into silence
let her voice her fantasy

Never ever shame a woman
for her wanton sultry way
thank the heavens that she's able
to bring passion into play

Never ever shame a woman
for the pleasure that she craves
be a man and strive to sate her
for this act her honor saves

Premium Member All That I Have Taken In

At day's end, I take in the last light
seeping into the dark waters
across the bay and keep it here.
I gather the sound of departing gulls
smudged on the sky, the quietening
settle of birds in the cypress trees
along the foreshore, the giggle
of a child high on a swing
being pushed by a mothers hand.

I hold here the gentle sweep
of waves soaking into wet sand,
the slow roll of seaweed, bubbles
bursting around shells, wings
low over the water.
I draw in the evening and keep
it close with its lights
sprinkled around the edges
of the headland,
emerging stars hung soundless
in the heavens, the blinking
passage of a southbound airplane
heading into a long night.
From somewhere, the smell
of honeysuckle spilling
into the waiting air.

I make my way home, filled
with all that I have taken in,
almost happy having little space
left over to fit myself.

Premium Member The Labrador

If I wasn't there,
the rain swollen clouds
would have still dumped
their dark weight over the bay
and through a gaping tear,
let down a curtain of sunlight
to start the day.

And if I wasn't there,
the old, arthritic labrador
would have still waddled
along the street
with its bent but steady gait,
undistracted, self absorbed
and fixed in its own stare
that allowed no deviation
from years of devoted plod.

The morning had no need
for me, what happened
would have happened anyway.
There's an annoying sadness
in knowing the earth
doesn't seem to care
if things pass unnoticed.
Sunsets and waterfalls
carry no favor.
To it, the achingly beautiful
and the catastrophic can
happily go unreported.

And yet I still ask -
what's the point -
and entertain the notion
that the universe has this
innate and unfathomable need
for a witness
to take in Creations
unfolding riddle
and make it fit together.

I could be wrong,
but for each of us,
the privilege of being here
on this gifted earth,
to understand, care for
and tell its story in song
fulfills a purpose,
if only to this end -
or something more.

Hoping You Can Feel Me

I sit alone and I think of you, hoping you can hear me
If I close my eyes just before I sleep, I can see you more clearly
Even where I am now, where everything is dark
I can feel you here beside me, gently tugging at my heart!

Anxiously, I wait to hear a precious word or two
Something to let me know you feel me as much as I feel you
I take the blame and apologize for these nights I have denied you;
But this gives me time to love your mind before I lay beside you!

Let me take away your pain; wipe away your tears and guide you
Let’s make love by pen and paper before I meld with you
I hope my words don’t sound too strong but passion has no fear
Each breath I breathe like ecstasy that has built up during this year!

There is no cure for what I feel it’s just the pain that ails me
All prescription meds from the medical doctors have failed me;
And I know this is a lot to take in but I mean each word sincerely
This hungry letter sent with love and passion hoping you can feel me!

Premium Member Each Little Drop of Rain I See

Each little drop of rain I see
goes plink plink plink into the pond,
then disappears so easily
as if I’d waved a magic wand!

Inside the pond’s refreshment goes
each little drop of rain I see.
How calm this scene, for no wind blows;
all thoughts mundane from my mind flee.

A fragrance wafts enchantingly
to greet my nose with scent of pink!
Each little drop of rain I see
keeps falling falling plink plink plink.

Reflected on the water’s skin,
pink blossoms ripple joy to me
while in this moment I take in
each little drop of rain I see.

Premium Member Put On Your Warrior Spirit

Don't let him sway you with his sultry rhymes
Don't let him woo and steal your heart away
Don't let him touch your soul with soulful lines
You know, my dear, he only wants to play

Don't let him tell you that you are divine
Don't let him make you think that you're unique
Don't let him say your eyes are pools sublime
You know, my dear, he wants to make you weak

He wants to break defenses and come in
To taste the hidden pleasures of your heart
He wants to take, to conquer, and to win
and then to leave when you've been torn apart

There is no greater pain than wounded pride
When truth reveals betrayal's sharpened knife
Revenge will be the thorn there in your side
For he has taken love, and dreams and life

So do not let him win in lover's game
Pick up your sword and gird yourself to fight
If you succumb, you will not be the same
I urge you then to vanquish with your might

Then still your heart and let it dormant lie
Let not your eyes take in the beauty there
He will not stop; he will most surely try
To ravish you and leave you naked, bare

So fight with all your might this war to win
Don't let your guard now slip; be strong and brave
take heed to what I say; don't fall in sin,
for none but you, your heart and soul can save

My Heart Is Meant For You

Lights dimmed in a cool marbled hall
a solitary candle flickers
soft chamber music echoes
and my thoughts turn to You
down on my knees
memories come as love has gone
how many times have I begged
to have a heart to hold
a bond to build
an angel to adore
Again I beg for the courage
the strength to carry on
to lead
to live
to love
unconditionally
A bright ray of sunshine
filters through the stained glass window
illuminating your image
heartaches soothe as I take in your essence
and I know
my heart is meant for You

Premium Member Arriving

When I close my eyes I hear the sound of your voice floating in the
air like dandelion fur, catching the breeze and dancing upward.

I remember the day when we camped in the rain and wrapped
ourselves in blankets to keep warm, hearing the acorn size
drops pelting the tent and feeling the rain vibrations explore
our coupled bodies.

How could I have known then what I know now …. the ancient
wisdom that you have carried with you since the beginning of time.

    You speak to me …
Your words rise up in my soul
filling my being. I feel you gently
cupping my heart in your hands,
    caressing it tenderly. Lifting your
arms above your head I feel the
warmth of the sunlight on my
heart. With eyes closed I bask in
    the moment.

I am transported to flight as a white hawk
stretching my arms out into my new wings and alighting
on the warm current that lifts me higher.

I am surrounded ……
It is quiet as I glide. Looking downward
I dip one wing and then another. I let
myself be enveloped, conscious of the wind
on my feathers. I am free. Free to fly. Free
to take in all that surrounds me, all that is above me,
below me, the scents, the sounds, the silence, the
memories of past, and the vision of the future.
I am one with you.

Below winding rivers and streams make S shapes
and figure 8’s, dancing, curving and rolling
with winking glitter on their surfaces.
Dry red rocks dot their shores and a heat ….
A heat rushes by.

Onward, upward past towering pines reaching to
the sky whose tips call me with their green beauty.
They call. They sing. I hear their ancient voices, as
their seeds fall silently on the ground.

Leaning into a turn I dip one wing and
see water before me falling in the distance.
I am being called… beckoned onward.
There are answers ahead.

The mist clings to my feathers and
moisture coats me as I fly closer. The
water is my soul, my heart, my life.
Whiteness and sound thunder around
me and yet a peace resides within.
I am home.

Premium Member I Can Resist You

Don’t even try to woo me
I can resist you
My mind is fortified
Reason screams reasons to be careful
Caution goes off in flares
My mind is alert
Aware
I can resist you

Oh, but my body
My body plays traitor...

My eyes adore you….
they take in every detail
of your face
your body
every contour and muscle
every masculine trait of virility
Your lips…my eyes linger on your lips
And make love to them……
My eyes speak surrender

My hands tremble
and give me away
I clasp them together…tight
knuckles white
For in another minute
they would escape and seek sanctuary on your body
Caressing your cheeks, your chin
they would travel down your neck
feeling the protruding strength as you swallow
they would take ecstatic trips across the expanse of your chest
Finally moving around your waist to pull you in

My teeth bite my lips
in an effort to keep my tongue imprisoned
for it longs to be unleashed
to run along the lines of your face
to slide on your lips...wetting them with want
making them part
so that it can dip inside your mouth and play
to lose its way
all over your body

I can resist you
My mind is fighting valiantly
to keep my body in check
Oh, but I feel damp desire spread
in the heat of your presence
As you move closer
Looking down into my eyes
I exhale the pent up emotions
brought on by the ripples of anticipation
longing for a touch
that I want so much
and my body's ablaze
this passion craze
Floods my face
rosy red

I can’t look away
and you smile
a warm slow smile
You smile
knowing the battle of mind over body
is about to end
my body will yield
submit in surrender
because your fierce made me tender
And so with the confidence and grace
of a seasoned soldier
you move in for the kill
agile with thrill
you hand tilts my chin up
and your mouth covers mine
smothering the words of protest
the mind has sent as last minute backup

you hold me up
crushed against your enveloping body
as I collapse into your arms
My mind?
prisoner of war
gagged and bound
empty of thought
ravaged by sensations
As you work your way
to your final victory claim
Knowing as you do
That you
Are
irresistible
to

Premium Member Give and Take

The give and take in love should reach a mean
whereby the two be equally disbursed,
so givers' hearts would never suffer lean,
cold hungry hours without love reimbursed.

And those who take would never reach the stage
of ravenous and selfish, one-way traits.
Such balance would create a better age,
if give and take maintained their equal weights.

But somehow this could never balance out,
for givers give beyond the gifts they bear;
in turn, must feed on crumbs, for without doubt;
the hungry takers take beyond their share.

While takers tip the scale with all they gain,
the givers, weak and thin, smile through their pain.

Loved and Lost -

To love
Is to remember
The touch of your hand
Your voice
When you called me cariad

My mouth remembers your kiss
The feel of your lips
Sensual touch of your tongue on mine
The closeness this brings

To love
Is to want to be with
Man woman or child
To love them
to want them near
To take in their being

When you love
It tugs at your heart
Making your chest swell
With unknown pleasure
Spreading to a smile
your eyes lighting up
face aglow

The feeling of love
Keeps you young at heart
Helps you want to face another day

Yet no more
That love has lost its way
Floundering in the brink of destruction
Searching, for the exit of depression.

Needs to see the light once more
Yet all there is, is the heat of hells fire
The internal hell, that goes around and around the brain
Looking for answers, for the reason.

Memories try to flood the senses
Memories of the hope that once flourished
Now is smouldering in the no mans land of waste
Is there love ever after?

Premium Member I'M Just Getting Started

I'm just getting started to face this new adventure
To roll through the changes, release my fears to the wind
Also, to conquer something inside fighting my body
As it would like to be my enemy, so I must be a friend

I will gather all my strength to rise above these challenges
I will spread my wings to fly free, as I soar the open skies
I will land where I choose and take in every beautiful view
One by one, healing me to the end of colorful rainbows

I will find love in a pot of gold waiting and then I will speak
The words meant to be heard from my journey of survival
My soul will open like a rose with thorns to protect me
Blooming to the fullest of a life thriving from true faith

Fulfilled by a purpose that is mine, meant to reach others
Then, I will sing and I will say once again, thank you God!

Premium Member Sweet Summer Night

The hot cars slowly wend their way down Mandalay boulevard. Young men whistle and honk at the pretty girls walking away from the beach and toward the nearest club. It is nighttime here in Clearwater Beach. We take in the various sounds and scents and revel in each experience. The ice cream shop is just a block away and soon we'll be indulging in the best ice cream ever. Everything tastes better when you're on vacation. She asks me if I want a lick of her cherry vanilla cone and I in turn offer her a taste of my dark chocolate. Later, around midnight, it's back to the beach again, this time to take in the starry view and listen to the waves gently and peacefully caress the shoreline. After laying there a few moments her hand touches mine and a tingle shoots down my spine. Married almost thirty years and she still gets to me. I begin to ramble on about the awesomeness of the cosmos and how each star is similar and yet unique. From our perspective they seem so close together, yet we know they are light years apart from one another. Suddenly she sits up and places her finger upon my lips as if to shush me, then slowly begins to unbutton her top. Tonight, she and the cosmos are mine.

each one like the eyes of God

Premium Member Going Wild About Clare

Where hills lay barren, and bedrock’s stripped bare
let me take you away to county Clare
Huge cliffs climb sheer, dwarfing waves underneath
atop the Burren my heart skips a beat

With nothing to see, apart from the view
all makes perfect sense, rain comes right on cue
And whatever I feel, it’s in the air
desolation yes, but without a care

Where fields seed pebbles, and pastures reap stones
through Clare’s vast rawness, I trek on my own
             A whitewashed lighthouse, beckons away
scouring heavy seas, beneath clouds of grey

Gulls are crying, as they happily do
rising and falling, going nowhere too
Still makes me wonder, where I’d rather be
than here by Clare’s dolmens in reverie

Later I take in, what nature left out
my pipe, tobacco, and bottle of stout
