Notes About The Poem

I Can Resist You

Don’t even try to woo me
I can resist you
My mind is fortified
Reason screams reasons to be careful
Caution goes off in flares
My mind is alert
Aware
I can resist you

Oh, but my body
My body plays traitor...

My eyes adore you….
they take in every detail
of your face
your body
every contour and muscle
every masculine trait of virility
Your lips…my eyes linger on your lips
And make love to them……
My eyes speak surrender

My hands tremble
and give me away
I clasp them together…tight
knuckles white
For in another minute
they would escape and seek sanctuary on your body
Caressing your cheeks, your chin
they would travel down your neck
feeling the protruding strength as you swallow
they would take ecstatic trips across the expanse of your chest
Finally moving around your waist to pull you in

My teeth bite my lips
in an effort to keep my tongue imprisoned
for it longs to be unleashed
to run along the lines of your face
to slide on your lips...wetting them with want
making them part
so that it can dip inside your mouth and play
to lose its way
all over your body

I can resist you
My mind is fighting valiantly
to keep my body in check
Oh, but I feel damp desire spread
in the heat of your presence
As you move closer
Looking down into my eyes
I exhale the pent up emotions
brought on by the ripples of anticipation
longing for a touch
that I want so much
and my body's ablaze
this passion craze
Floods my face
rosy red

I can’t look away
and you smile
a warm slow smile
You smile
knowing the battle of mind over body
is about to end
my body will yield
submit in surrender
because your fierce made me tender
And so with the confidence and grace
of a seasoned soldier
you move in for the kill
agile with thrill
you hand tilts my chin up
and your mouth covers mine
smothering the words of protest
the mind has sent as last minute backup

you hold me up
crushed against your enveloping body
as I collapse into your arms
My mind?
prisoner of war
gagged and bound
empty of thought
ravaged by sensations
As you work your way
to your final victory claim
Knowing as you do
That you
Are
irresistible
to
ME

You start off with the best of resolutions, Eileen; no playing around...mind made up...loud and clear. But your alert mind already knows deep down that with looming revolt it will not be able to withstand the attack which desire is planning. Surrender is imminent; victory arrives .. but you are not a loser; in surrender you automatically become a victor! hugs // paul

Mmmmmm.....a struggle of seduction, fought with feeble, faint logic...your body, loyal to its neefs, your heart, savage against reason...this etotic conflict, the strain, the sting, the bindings and kisses, the truth of necessary surrender...the way you incorporate the terms of battle are ingenius with passion Eileen! Your inspiration is truly irresistible! A hot masterpiece of conquest. Such a beautiful prisoner...J.A.B.

I'm glad you've come to visit, Justin. You've been remiss of late. Thank you for this excellent post. A beautiful prisoner, is a prisoner nonetheless. :) At times...it's hard to use the mind when the body and heart yearn...Yearnings and longings are powerful...and at times seen insurmountable...Life has many lessons to teach both body and mind. Welcome to my work...

Oh my dearest, Eileen, even Alexander the great, the Greek general, 356-323 BC, would have fallen victim to your strategic approach to the battle! You are the one who the victor declares but we know very well, a declared victor is victor in name alone! A masterpiece of poetry! A seven and a seven!

Alexander the Great of Greece, your home country, my dear. He would not be able to withstand me? How sweet is that to my ear. :) I am basking in the glow of your post. Efkharisto para poli, Demetri. Esai toso kala mazi mou!

Heart and soul behind the portait you paint. I do not have Justin's poetic brilliance to say what your words make me feel but I can see that all you pen is a reflection of your "heart and soul" it could not be otherwise with the beauty you portray. Naughty or not you are my Enchantress and your spell has me caught in the pictures you paint. I can visualise you as Morgana La Fay to my Merlin. Trapped by the beauty I see. Love Shane xxx

"A Web of Sensual Magic" How delightful, Shane. Thanks ever so much. I'm not sure if desire came out on top or stayed on the bottom, but it won! ;) Oh....I'm being naughty. Thanks for the comment. My poems are real in the sense that I live each out. ;) Glad you liked this. Hugs

My imagination liked the seasoned solider (a mighty warrior -- hey, it me, love that) -- specially trained for dangerous missions, a lethal weapon is his body, a powerful force that does not fail . . . Outstanding LO, powerful, passionate, and penetrating . . . 7, fav

The author used superb imagery and gentle words to bring her feelings to the page and into our hearts. Your emotions emerge from your words and we can feel what you're saying and how it effects you. Emile #7 "They would down your neck" ?

'they would escape and seek sanctuary on your body...". I find the core of the poem here, Eileen. Each and every part of the beloved's body is made to please and be pleased by her lover. Hence, it's just a matter of time that the mind will follow suit, for it too, was made to captivate, and be held captive of the loved one, Sensual and sublime. 7 and to the favs!
