Butterfly Landings

Butterfly Landings

It’s a precarious perch
High by a skydive
In such a leap of faith
A leap of love
Circumnavigates these boots of Earth
Fellow to the stratospheres
These butterfly landings
Of you in my heart

Destinies lance
Has shot me full to the sun
On the twirling chant sung
Ever re initiates
And sounds the river onward runs
Always
Of your name
Settles red iridescence
To tip the scales
These butterfly landings
Of you in my arms

I see you in precognitions
Flashes
In my obsessions of your hair
Lip-syncing to the kisses
In my passions of your eyes
Where my heady desires evolve
This molecular bonding’s
These butterfly landings
Of you inside my soul

It’s a precarious perch
To expressive to encapsulate
How much I love you
It’s a peculiar laugh
That admits I have never even met you
But all of you inexorable
I am conceded to the pull
I am bound to the groundings
In these butterfly landings
Of you

( Everything I am
  Everything I do
  Wrapped inside
  Those landing butterflies
  I cannot express
  In any vocabulary of words
Only in the dictionary of unspoken eternals
  Lay the definitions of

  How much I love
  How much I need
  How much I want

  You

  They beg with you
  This man on bended knees
  How this strength in me
  Pleads

  Come back to me

  Come back to me )

Pun Fun

I had an IPod problem!
I fixed it, this is how!
I named the thing "Titanic",
by God, it's "syncing" now!

I was wondering where the sun goes?
I stayed up all night to see!
Sure enough, next morning,
it finally "dawned" on me!

I'm an avid reader.
I read anything around.
I read an "anti-gravity" book,
and I couldn't put it "down"!

I know some real bad food jokes,
but let me tell you first!
The one about German sausage,
brother, that's the "wurst"!

There are several types of illness,
that leave you sore and weak!
But, when your bladder is infected,
"urine" trouble, so to speak!

I was sorta down and out!
Times were hard, you know?
So, I got a job in a bakery,
because I "kneaded" dough!

NOTE; I apologize if you wasted your
time reading this! I need to get
a life! Sorry folks.

Pursuit of Happiness

I have walked a long distance
In pursuit of happiness I guess
I encountered resistance, while driving down memory lane
Until I ran out of gas

I have blindfolds on my eyes
To keep you out of my sight
But I still see you in my dreams at night
Perhaps you are where my future lies

I wish to sign a truce with my feelings
To stop feeling this other pretty girls
And start filling you with love spells
Because you are my one true love
But you don’t think I am man enough

You captured my mind and locked it inside your world
That is why I mind less about how the truth will unfold
You paint my happiness vividly like a renowned painter
My lips are longing for yours, more than a drunkard is longing for alcohol

My dear pot of gold
Wealth is when I have you by my side
Without you all my dreams are sold out
The hairs on my skin stand happily
Just from thinking about you
How I miss your view, from a certain angle
How I miss the simultaneous beats of our hearts
With chests tightly pressed against each other,
Syncing into every movement we make

Maybe it’s because I’m in pursuit of happiness

Shimmering swaths
of cerulean sea
ionize comely light
purple-tinged sand
strewn with tattered shells
during low tide,
summon imperial thrones,
tartly lovely youth
amid sparkling Tyrian swells,
whilst peering
solace amid
vibrant splendor
of landscape,
as serene slopes
and lucid pleas prevail,
I wait with ebbed breath
for an ethereal grace
to ignite a spark
of hope.

We haven't touched yet,
we're just syncing
over ariose love song,
as warm rain and clouds—bow
"Salut d'amour",
violins string opalescent tones
that rise and fall in pitch,
as a link to ink
an iridescent origami doodle
of a jewel-lit song,
summer nights of
ochre acrylics—a plethora
of fairy flickers and fireflies
amid a flurry of filigree,
to inveigle her into playing.

We draw on our kinship
as we float freely,
over crestfallen ocean
a pen swayed in time,
with an Elysian rim
on my horizon,
I whirl my love whims
and swirl the walnut wood
in disconsolate loops,
In a spice grist mill
sprinkles to spice my life.

Keys and gaunt codes
to demure this dalliance
served with Mirabelle tart
and for the sake of Muscat,
as the breeze tickles
those are my shutters
I fantasize about lying,
over her fastidious breast
as empyreal lee of
a sun-kissed knoll,
should she ever grasp
my hand and our
lips converge,
in an esoteric way
would we fit snugly?
as a dovetail joint in unison,
or would we plummet?
to our deaths
in shattered light?

Desensitizing me—destroying my delusion.
Snapping sight of the kaleidoscopic illusion.
Delving into eternity of utopian ecstasy
Shimmering in an ethereal golden fantasy

Drifting inwards—yielding inner space.
Flamboyant with a nectarous embrace
Playing an intricate oboe of tenderness.
Drumming along to the tune of gentleness

Invigorating my soul—infusing my barren cup
Embraced me wholeheartedly the wassail up.
Sitting on grass, smelling delicious lavender.
Gulped divine ambrosia, wild or scavenger

Syncing wires up to my celestial essence
A haven where my bosom can quiescence
A tranquil haven where my spirit can soar.
A tranquil haven that my heart can't deplore.

A sanctuary where my soul can find peace.
Somewhere, my soul may relax and release.
Nothing can be concealed in my quiet spirit.
The whole day, one can both sense and hear it.

Miss

I miss smiles in the morning time
I miss laughing until I cry
I miss long conversations that last through the night
I miss the ease in the fear of facing the unknown
I miss hearing the music of love in a moan
I miss the secrets shared between two sacrificed souls
I miss you laying beside me and keeping me warm
I miss the closeness of falling asleep in your arms
I miss the syncing rhythm of two beating hearts
I miss the desire of the feeling that somebody needs me
I miss the passion of somebody wanting to please me
I miss the magic of the love that I still believe in

Music of Love

Based on the muse of Shakespeare's famous line of Twelfth Night-------------
" If music be the food of love, play on..."

If music be the food of love, play on
it's sweet and caressing melody...
Hum along strums of an hypnotic smile
and enraptured in it's soft laughter
hand in hand ...let love dance with love.
Wistful jazz and graceful waltz will meld
a soothing ensemble of fluid moments
in free flowing Aurelia,...in showers of love.
Let the magic play on listless major chords
syncing all B-sharp and D-flat scales.
Let serenade touches on strings of heart
pluck bass into a treble of elixir.
Let drizzle of joyful tears, color humdrums of life
and cicada chorus will brighten a lulled spring sun
and clouds will kiss each other in eclectic sonata.
Let gold hazel eyes on a faceless beauty
haunt a fantasy love-song with no sad lyrics.
Music indeed is food of love...
with a bit of sugar and a pinch of salt
spicy and bittersweet , ... both music and love
Let ink of Shakespeare keep the feeling alive.
In phantasms of dream, carved in finesse utopia.
Let background orchestra play the somber reality.

Salt Lake Expression

I wrote this on the Salt Lake Express, enjoy.

Salt Lake Expression

I just got my phone and im travelling home
I havent been rappin since the age of de la soul
But i happen to imagine the things i dont know
Its all about where you are, however you go

My jedi mind is tricked out,
opposite of KISS- i lick it down,
i am about to be around,
instantly syncing experience into the sound, so listen now...

Whatever I sample,
its all too hot to handle,
i dissipate stress within damsels,
what's jack and a candlestick without a candle?
I describe inside my mind simply when i ramble

The rise and fall is epic like that of the Berlin wall,
hungry cows just in for the green, im herding you all,
transmitting transitions went from winter to fall,
this tale you're listening to is legitimate, it isn't tall.

Im like Rafiki just seeking to speak with the king,
i ford rivers to Mordor to find the Lord of the Ring,
this isn't a hobbit talking but when i walk i sing,
playing the harp with heart strings,
hark the lion king
versus shot in the dark, bark, then endangering,
i dine with fine eats at a Chinese restaurant called Ming's,
before the crack im born to rap, let the liberty bell ring.

Crazier than Nicolas cage,
i face the machine with rage,
i speak on street corners, concrete is my stage,
I'm going to flee to Indonesia seeking to speak with a sage

Gourmet food for thought is about to blast off,
get on this hip hop or listen to Slim and kick rocks in flip flops,
this is not a shot in the dark or a walk in the park,
im a man ready on his mark to rock steady like Bob
and drop heavy as wonder bred never forget that's who brought...

...This to you, get in-tuned
it's not on your radio so plug in your ipod,
im not a rhyme god, but I've got my lines off
like Joseph is how my coat is, mad colors,
i think the big government is actually a bad brother,
im blessed since I have my mother,
and we all are cause we have each other.

Sunshine On a Rainy Day

I lie,
on my large comfort bed..
counting seconds,
syncing my heartbeat,
with the tick of the great white clock,
above my head.
What I'm thinking,
even I do not know..
Clouds have formed on my thoughts...
Fogs have scathed my vision,
hence, I cannot see beyond
the goose trail of old memory..
The wind whooshes in uninvited,,,
with a knowing air,
It tells me...
Oh.... I have forgotten..
I sit up.. and shake my head ruefully..
This blankness,, this emptiness..
This menace of internal unknowingness...
It eats me up...
I know something pegs at my unsettled mind.. But what??
Oh!!!! I remember now,,, only vaguely though..
The wind,, it had said something..
Something about sunshine..
Sunshine on a rainy day..
I stand up... No longer able to contain
the powerful synergy of energy..
Inside me, this surge occurs..
It jolts me, it jostles me here and there - So I walk
Up and down the entire bedroom..
I'm getting something..
Hazy formations,,, silhouettes,,, outlines....
Then, the first images appear..
Blurry at first, but..
as time passes... clearer they become..
I start to understand..
But....
Suddenly, I'm drawn back into the past...
I recall,,, I remember... The hindsight is too powerful for me..
I jump up!!!
And in a matter of seconds,,,
I find myself dancing..
This thing,
that boggled my pristine mind..
I finally know what it is..
But I do not have a name for it yet,,
It's,,, it's a tune,,, it starts with a rhythm..
A konga drum,,,, chimes,, gongs...
Then,,, larger, thicker, hide-drums...
Then... A beat,, syncopated and enthralling..
It's fast... Strong,,, daring...
Then...
Dancing steps..
Dancing...
A voice, raised from a variegated population...
Heart,, beating in sync..
I discern,,,,
Yes...
Sunshine on a rainy day..
Hmm...
My mind is full.. It's near breakpoint..
I am now eager to name this anonymous sensation..
I think...
I think...
Yes...
The name falls to my small ears....
It startles me... But,,, I receive it
with a heart full of dire hope..
I breathe a sigh and let the name out...
"Yuletide", I say..
And as I pant, recovering from the exhilaration,,,
A figure, in red and white
crosses my window...

Merry Christmas....

Unfinished Poem-2

Wanton words or bits of paper
Flotsam and jetsam or progenitors
Damp squibs or ticking time bombs
Collect..and recollect
Their golden worth, silverfish and all
Revived or transmigrated
To touch earth’s core and zodiac zones
To recreate vibes syncing with a smart sun
On pretty turf bearing its sweet burden
Of coy blooms or breeze bushed
On mornings lying about in yards like spilt milk
Words that wouldn’t miss the woods for the tree
Moving along paths, straight or wavy
Slicing through sheer life
Leaving left and right little islands
Of sunshine or sombre nights,
Bristling, though, with rain on fresh page
The epic stage for an unfinished call
Once left reticulated with a dumb aridity.

Rules On How To Write a Successful Poem For Poetry Soup

*1) "Tone it down" as much as I possibly can
- There could be children presently attending my rant
And I want them all to ask their folks
To buy my Poetry Book later this year;
So an enraged parent can organize
Synchronized book burnings
In honor of my accomplishments.
That same week (bank holidays notwithstanding)
I'll rerelease my book on vinyl record,
And then someone will have to find Dick Clark
Or we may never appreciate this joke
For the cultural value of "American Bandstand"
- If anyone can find Rod Serling, even better.

I wouldn't willingly lie to someone
Unless I was being paid a relative sum
To relieve my conscience
From the burdensome guilt
Of insulting another stupid audience
With the perfect choice of my own clever words...
...So I might as well be as honest with you
As I would with any of my ex-wives or their children:
I've always believed the "Twilight Zone"
Had far more cultural value...
...Though, it is true:
There was nothing more bizarre on television
Than "American Bandstand"
- Until "Soul Train" came along...
...If it's also true that "Society deserves its criminals"
Then we kinda deserved MTV for all of our troubles...

...How insatiable can peoples thirst
For consumerism possibly be!?
That they'd allow commercialism
To successfully convince them
To sit around their televisions
Watching others dance to a lip syncing band!?
Blinded by the sunshine of reification;
Through the sludgy sleet, rain or snow;
Despite personal hate, peace, love or war
- In the name of any false God
- Dance on you silly fools - Do the Danse Macabre...

*2) Try hard not to forget rule number one
- Like I've already forgotten the second rule.

No Friends of Mime

Farcical characters of ill gestures,
they be no friends of mime

Mute clown suits
wearing viol marionette smiles
all of the puppet string time

I tell you, of a silent truth,
those pretzel-tongue jester troupes
are theatrical buffoons
spoofing on a global would trivial comedy stage

These ol' pantomime hucksters,
dipstick lip syncing on babble timer delay rage —
Crying out loud,
them cold quip cheeky blusters
never were any spoken for friends of mine

Just some dumb glow, dim enemies ...
who always pearly grinned a dumber shine

Premium Member Aging In and Out

As I age
I hope to become increasingly difficult

to extract from flow of Presence
apprehending EarthMother focus
through holistic reflections
within Now

Without targeting Others
over There
lacking CoPresence.

I hope ego-awareness shrinks
within aging
cranial carrying
mindbodies

To swell without
toward ecstatic soul
comprehensive understanding,
co-infested stand-and-grabbing

To more easily let go
of my now eldering past events
yellowing oranged brown falling away leaves
of absent grace

To grab ahold
of bold winter's regenerations
of green-full hope,.

Prehensive linking
syncing resonant peace
engaging Earth JustUs
rooted ancient systems

Free-flowing through boundaried paradigms
dividing seasons
into tipping pointed reasons
for circling
deepening peak
yet widening spectral valleys
echoing Other's resounding exclamations

Fading
failing bipolarized dissonance
becoming dipolar co-arising
resonance

Confident this curious TaoWay
through resiliently polycultured Midway
seasons and surfs
at last expounding
plantings and pullings
rebirthing our final say

Fusing octaves of sight and sound
fizzing fractal note conduction
musing slow-grown co-redeemers

Risking final opportunity
to refill treasured seeds
sown and reaped

Cherished bodymind's rich pot
ential,
outial
post-axial cross

Over space
and under time's harvest
reimagining memory's branching place
for rooted earnest fortune

Racing thoughts
increasingly aged difficult

To extract from co-presents
of EarthJustUs time
sufficient for grace
repurposed peaceful space.
