Best Sow Poems
If you sow seeds of kindness,
Then kindness is what you'll reap.
If you sow seeds of forgiveness,
You'll reap untroubled sleep.
If you sow seeds of anger,
of hatred or discontent,
You'll reap a crop of violence,
Discord and evil intent.
If you sow seeds of brotherly love,
Then love you will receive,
But if wickedness is what you sow,
Then wicked you will be.
The lesson here is pretty clear:
You reap just what you sow.
Therefore, strive to sow only good seeds,
And spread them wherever you go.

Sow 2 Reap
Why do we suffer in this way,
a lot of religions have words to say,
As ye sow so shall ye reap,
what if you up an die tuite suite,
Karma will get you aye...
Don Johnson
The world is suffering more madness in the name of religion,
the one God wants none of it.
Maybe hell is here when Karma comes into bat..
. I too have lost many people to the Reaper, My Sue in April.
But the Grub becomes the Butterfly,
the Spirit is you when it flys,
a change of habit, new disguise,
adventure time Tom-Tit ...
We were babies together, you and I.
Then toddlers, teetering, side by side.
Learning to walk in life, hand in hand.
Balancing each other as we struggled to stand.
You never knew, cause I had to be strong,
But I feared everyday that I'd do something wrong.
A bump on the head, the wrong kind of juice.
Am I doing this right?
Can't fail- no excuse!
Even the best parents are filled with doubt.
Am I leaving a scar anytime that I shout?
Could I have done more to prepare, and protect?
Warn them of monsters, but keep fear in check?
Have I been a good influence, or sealed their fate?
So many questions whose answers must wait.
Then just the other day I looked into your eyes.
A reflection of myself took me by surprise.
As I listened to you speak, your voice came through as mine.
My question was answered- you would be fine.
Our struggles in life can leave a deep well.
I planted survival and you've reaped it well.
Though we've seen dark days, we continue to shine.
My story is your's, your story is mine.
From you I learned patience, compassion, and laughter.
I gained strength and courage that lasted long after.
I raised you from child into woman, you see
But what I did for you, so you did for me.
We were mother and daughter.
Though titles belied.
For you were my mother, as much as my child.
~NMG
He drank, thirsting for her;
with stygian lips pressed to her neck,
She was exsanguinated.
The squalid night-beast, left her lifeless body,
behind an alley dumpster.
No moonlight betrayed the remnants,
of his latest meal.
Any slight remorse, that he felt,
was obliterated by the metal-sweet taste,
upon his vile tongue.
He was alive again and
there were more than enough prey,
to nourish him, for an eternity.
Aerial bound, for his charnel palace,
he would sleep like the god he fancied himself.
For eight-hundred years he had perfected his hunt.
His travels had taken him through the steeps and berms,
of antipodal continents and he had viewed
what most humans, could not.
The hellish beast loved the hunt,
as much as, his meals.
When prey inadvertently approached his abode,
it was left free;
he savored the taste of the chase,
as much as, the catch.
The elixir of life was ambrosia;
The likes of which, he’d not tasted in his mortality.
How he longed to thank the beast he’d once feared, for bestowing immortality upon him.
When the next gibbous moon took its flight,
the cravings awoke him.
Dressed in his finest, modern day attire
he set upon his task.
There’s a peculiar thing about Vampire,
they fancy themselves invincible.
Old vampires, like mortals, are often,
Over confident and become careless.
On his last hunt he lost his head,
to the single swipe,
of a large were-claw!
A seed is put into the ground
It rests beneath the sun
The miracle of what springs forth
Almighty hands have done
The sower having done his part
In faith must watch and wait
In time the object of his toil
Will sit upon his plate
When intimate relations
Of a man and wife are through
The seed is sown in passion
The results are me and you
We can follow the instructions
Doing only what we know
But God creates the seeds of life
All we do is sow
Sow
Old Slim Whitman saddened ,
When he sang of prison walls,
Wings of angels would fly him,
Did they hear an heed the call.
Yep
Had Slim on a 78 record,
And Jonny Cash was hot,
A singing Folsom prison,
Giving all he’s got.
My mate Sow went off to jail,
For murder he was did,
He was behind those prison walls,
15 years, hard labour, lived.
Caged jail bird, he does not like,
No longer free is he,
Freedom gone he soldiers on,
Still dreams of being free.
BEHIND BARS BLUES
Ruby red autumn
Grow Bags of wheat or
Cry ears of corn
Grass is green, flowers bloom, bees are buzzing
The sunshine gleams so bright, warm and golden
The sky is blue and clear, almost here is the spring.
Here is jolly March wind playing jokes with fun
Turning umbrellas inside out, fragrant fresh air
Whispering in each ear to wake up seeds soon.
Never mind March! You are not bad, or in anger
You are only blowing the winter away for April
It is the rainbow month of spring time shower.
Lots of pretty flowers bright with lilacs and daffodil
The shining roofs, summer in light, winter in shades
The little clouds go by with the windy warm April.
Oh, happy sounds of May! Hum of the buzzing bees
The song of gentle breeze, chirping of birds younger
The days are warm, by the evening fresh air cools.
Spring- the taste of prosperity, of adversity in winter,
The twig bare in winter, in spring green with glitters
Spring is recognized not by men but by plants sooner.
Month of May comes, makes to blossom all lusty hearts
Like herbs and trees do to bring the fruit and flourish
Boost lambs and lovers to spring and flourish in lusty deeds.

Fourth Place Win
Contest: Season's bliss by Regina
You broke his heart and left him there to bleed
Then found another heart your lust to feed
You threatened and you spoke some vicious lies
And basked in glory of your masked disguise
You made the others think your love was true
Forgetting what was old you sought the new
You thought you’d covered up what you had done
But all will come to light beneath the sun
For what we sow we know is what we’ll reap
One day your heart will break and you will weep
A principle that’s found in every creed
With sword you slay with self-same sword you’ll bleed
For justice does not long in slumber stay
One day he will awake and have his way
Planting the garden with all love and kindness
I kneel and bow my head in quiet contemplation
Reflecting on life passed,
already slipped through my fingers
Of times my soil was not tendered by such kindred hand
When minutes were short
and hours so fully crammed with business
I'd simply open my seeds regardless of consequence
and scatter aimlessly upon the land
Much that fell about me would wither, fall, or fail
For quality of moment did not matter,
meant little to me
Little I did would flourish
for it surely wasn't manned nor intended
No nurturing, no love, no care, no nothing
Yet now my precious moments surely stand
I learnt in time to find freedom in saying no,
gently taking back that
that was too freely given
To once more take hold of pallet and brush with artistic flair
That my own world could bloom in full colour and take a stance
So I could get a grip, a hold on all
To really know how to stamp my brand
For time stands still for no-one
Sometimes things just don't turn out.
Sometimes things don't fit.
Just the way you hoped they would,
But don't get in a snit.
Try to make the best of things,
Just the way they are.
It may not be just perfect,
But for sure it's up to par.
You worked so hard, you did your best,
Left nothing up to chance;
But don't judge the day by what you reaped,
But by the seeds you plant.
If you plant smiles instead of frowns,
You're sure to get back cherries.
Plant some hugs and kisses,
And you'll get a bowl of berries;
But stomp and snort, plant anger,
Discord and irritation,
And you'll get back no sweets my friend,
Because you plant vexation.
Our love’s a seed
Let’s watch it grow
and we may reap
what we sow
reap
what we sow
Spring has come
Let’s place it
in the sun
Let’s place it
in the sun
Let’s watch it grow
so that we may reap
we may reap
reap what we sow
With time
it grows
And the seedling shows
And a flower sprouts
when you give it time
I am yours
and you are mine
Our love’s a seed
Let’s watch it grow
and we may reap
what we sow
reap
what we sow
With time it grows
And the seedling shows
And a flower sprouts
freeing the beauty inside
there’s no need to hide
the beauty inside
Let’s watch it grow
so that we may reap
we may reap
reap what we sow
We may reap
We may reap
reap what we sow
Let’s stay at Oinkington Inn the easily pleased relative said.
Her husband looked at brochure and said I’d rather be dead.
The pigs are lovely, she replied. There is nothing to dread.
He told her to go to her family reunion with her cousin Ned.
The sows and hogs were truly placated and fine.
We visited them near an old abandoned crystal mine.
You should come next time to the reunion, she said.
Best part is, a sow ran off with my mean cousin Ned.
Change your perception
and life changes with you
If you always give the same daily
you will get the same back
But start changing goals or outlook
and your life might change too
Red and hairy
Brown eyed and wistful
Long lanky arms
That swing from tree to tree
Sweet gentle red man
Of Borneo forests
The greedy have taken
Away your home
Your forests, your food, your memories
Your families - now fading into history’s mist
They have sold you to Cesar and forgot
God made you
